Very adorable coffee shop with great coffee flavors. The inside was quaint but a bit cold during the winter. There is ample seating with lots of couches and comfy chairs.

This place is definitely a hidden gem! I love the recommendations from the barista in this establishment is connected to a nonprofit that helps less fortunate women. The coffee was amazing and atmosphere was ambient and I was able to finish a high-level test with no problem. Definitely recommend here as it is an old house converted into a business. Really cool spot.

Nice spot. I dig the atmosphere. It was quiet and quant. The cold brew I got was/is really good. I will try a bagel and different beverage on my next visit. Parking is kinda tough but plenty of street parking on Gibbons.

Like wise is a great coffee shop. The staff is so nice and amazing people. The coffee shop has a great environment. The coffee is always great. There are many places to sit and get whatever work you have or even enjoy time with your friends. The parking lot is on the other side of the barbershop across the street.

This place is so cool! It's basically a house turned into a coffee shop! Multiple rooms to sit in and relax. Each has its own vibe. One of the best dirty chais I've had in awhile! The service was great and the croissant was huge and flaky!

I visited Likewise last week when meeting a friend in the morning. There were several reasons this fairly new coffee shop stood out to me and I wanted to share them with you. Overall it is a fantastic place to try out and I love any business that is modeled to help someone in the community. Big Wins: 1.The space out back with picnic tables and other seating that is spread out and has shade. 2. The art displayed through the house that has been done by local young artist. 3. The old house that has been converted in to this cute coffee shop. Wins to be acknowledged: 1. The cleanliness of this shop! I felt clean and bright which is really important for me when I am consuming food somewhere. 2. The fun seating all around the downstairs of the house. Neutral: The coffee. This will be a big deal for some. I could take it or leave it. I wasn't overly impressed, but still enjoyed it. I did try a latte and it was VERY sweet. If you go this route and are not crazy about how sweet latte's get, maybe ask for half the pumps of syrup. There was one reasons that I decided to give this cute place 4 stars instead of five. It has to do with how quiet the inside was. While the space it SO CUTE, it lacked any subtle noise that helps cancel out any conversations. I was having a quiet conversation and we eventually moved outside because no matter how softly we spoke, it still felt like everyone around us was easily listening in. And I also felt like I was subject to listening to others as well. If someone were to bring children, or have a group meet together if felt like the noise would quickly get out of hand. Go try it out. Leave your review, too! I love reading everyone's perspectives. Thank you Likewise for how you serve the community.

Such a cute vibe. It's a converted house into a coffee shop. Plenty of rooms for work or study. Seasonal drinks and basic drinks. We loved the inside. Plenty of natural light. Parking was a little hard to find but other than that super cute place.

Outstanding little coffee shop on the East side of Knoxville. Cozy atmosphere with soft music, trendy decor, and all kinds of little nooks and crannies to enjoy your hot cup of joe, which by the way, is solid (I had a flat white). Definitely a cool place to chill, read a book, or get some work accomplished on the computer! Definitely recommend!

Great products for very reasonable prices! Only $4 for a large iced coffee! I came to support an event for my community. All of the money from today is going to a great cause. Very VERY friendly staff!!!

I can't say no to a crepe so when we saw them on Yelp as a breakfast option I knew it had to be done. It's a fast casual spot so counter service but it's still a lovely experience. The woman who took our order was really nice (and particularly kind after a guy who had previously ordered pushed his way back in front of us because he had forgot to order a coffee). My husband and I both went with the Complete crepe (eggs, ham, and swiss cheese) which also came with a side of fries. We also decided to split a bananas foster crepe for a bit of sweet after our main meals. Everything we sampled was excellent. They also have a few pastries/desserts available and my husband got a croissant to go to nibble on later during our continued travels. The space is SUPER cute. There's plenty of seating and the upstairs area has a really lovely view of the space below. There are a few seats outside but they had filled up by the time we got there. I was really charmed by Knoxville in the short period of time we were there and I'd love to come back and explore more and French Market will definitely be on the list of places to revisit!

Thankful to have a reservation, we were promptly seated while others with no reservation were being told three hour wait times. I loved the vibe of Tupelo, the hanging lush green plants on the side of the bustling kitchen, the cheerful staff and the lively music. Lizette was our server and she was just a darling. It was our first time here, and she was so helpful with her all of her recommendations. One of Lizette's favorites was the "Peach, don't kill my vibe" sangria. Which I just loved. I nice mix of peach and pineapple in a sangria. For our mains, we had the grilled harvest chicken and the chicken tenders. Both mains came with two sides. With my grilled harvest chicken, I got the mashed potatoes and the braised bacon green beans. The green beans were to die for, even my hubby was saying he should've ordered that as his side. The harvest chicken I loved--especially the sautéed spinach, red peppers and tomatoes on top. But if you can't handle spicy, this dish does have some heat to it. And we ended my birthday celebration with the heavenly banana pudding. It was heavenly in every way. Made in house, and so delicious that even my hubby ate it and he never cares for this dessert. If I could've licked that little bowl, I would've. We already cannot wait to come back and try some of the brunch items on their menu. We loved everything about Tupelo and hats off to Lizette for making our night even more special!!

Not Watson's? More Like... Not Worth It…read more Sometimes in life you have to listen to that inner voice. The one that quietly nudges you in another direction. The one I ignored today when I chose Not Watson's instead of following my true spirit to the Old City for a vegan tamale that had been pressing on my psyche all morning. But I ignored it. So here we are. This happened Wednesday, March 4, 2026. I was downtown on Market Square for a business meeting. The weather was nice, I had already paid to park, and the craving for fish and chips got the best of me. Not Watson's was close, so it seemed like the logical choice. But when the vibe is off... the vibe is off. Around 1:05 PM there was a line at the door. One party of four, two additional parties of two, and then me -- the solo diner. While we were standing there waiting, two women from one of the parties asked if I was waiting on someone. When I told them no, they kindly invited me to sit with them. A thoughtful gesture. But I declined. Maybe if I had accepted, I might have received better service. Ah yes... the small pitfalls of solo dining. What made things odd was that the place didn't even appear busy. Several different servers came to the front to seat people, but there was no hostess and tables still needed to be cleaned before anyone could sit. I almost left. My instincts were already whispering, go get that tamale instead. But the pull for fish and chips was strong, so I thought, forget it -- I'll wait. When my turn finally came I was asked, "Outside? High-top? Or a table in the back?" Well damn. It felt a little like I was being strategically placed out of sight, so I chose the table in the back. Walking through the restaurant I again noticed it really wasn't busy. Then I sat. And sat. Ten minutes went by with no greeting, no water, no acknowledgment. So I did what anyone would do -- I watched the TV in front of me. At that point the urge to leave was getting stronger, but me being me thought, let me give this another second. That's when a gentleman from the kitchen came over. He introduced himself and said he noticed no one had waited on me yet and didn't want me sitting there hungry, so he took my order. He mentioned my server would come by shortly. Spoiler alert: my server never actually showed up. I later learned my server was also bartending. Eventually my food arrived -- three pieces of fish, fries, and coleslaw (which unfortunately had absolutely no flavor). By this point I was hungry, so I dug in. First problem: the fish was fried way too hard, almost burnt. Second problem: the fries were so salty they could probably raise your blood pressure on sight. But the real issue? The fish had zero taste. None. If the fish had actually tasted good, crispy or otherwise, I probably would have eaten it anyway. But this was like chewing overcooked cardboard. When the gentleman came back, I showed him the fish and he immediately saw the problem. He said he would alert the kitchen. He kindly offered a complimentary dessert (declined) and offered to have the fish and chips remade (also declined). At that point I had lost my appetite. When the check arrived, it was half-price. Now here's where the math didn't quite math. You were willing to remake the entire meal, yet I paid half price for a plate where I ate one piece of fish and a few fries, after spending most of my visit waiting to be acknowledged. So I paid my $9, left a tip, and got the heck out of there. As I was leaving he said, "Hopefully we'll get it right next time." Next time? I left just as hungry as I arrived. The only silver lining of the entire experience was remembering I had half a Butterfinger sitting in my desk drawer back at work. Now that lit me up. Unfortunately, between the awkward service, the overcooked fish, and leaving just as hungry as I came, this is one fish-and-chips stop I won't be revisiting.

Both upscale yet inviting. Note that it does feel a bit like European dining where the tables and fellow diners are very close to you and the tables are small and cozy. You hear all of their convos as well, for better or worse. :-) We ordered the scallop appetizer and for our meal, we both got the short rib pappardelle pasta and a side of the brussel sprouts to share. Our server was very kind but our orders took a very long time to come out, from drinks to the food itself. In fact, our brussels came out at the same time as the check. I will say that she recognized this issue without us saying anything and even removed the brussels from the bill preemptively. The food was delicious-especially the main course. The bolognese sauce was creamy and had a slight kick and the short rib was tender and tasty. Another odd thing is that we ordered the same exact dish but one plate visibly had almost twice the amount of food than the other, which is an odd choice if you know they are going to the same table. Other than the few service quirks, it was a wonderful experience and the food and drinks were delicious. We will be back at some point.

I wanted to sample a variety- so I got an apple fritter, a snickerdoodle donut, a buttermilk old fashioned, and a blueberry Pączki. The apple fritter was the best of those 4. The snickerdoodle was just a traditional cinnamon sugar donut. The base was a bit dry yet also tasted oily. The buttermilk old fashioned had a similar greasy flavor and not the tang I'd expect from this type of donut. The Pączki was just a minimally filled jelly donut...and the dough was very greasy. Normally, the dough is more bready and has a more rich flavor. The ones I've always eaten in the past are heavily filled. This place seems like it has potential but it just lacks the quality or personality I'm looking for in a local gem. Nothing was awful but nothing was great either.

I ordered the veggie omelet with asparagus. It came with homestyle potatoes and a small salad, which honestly felt like a lot of food for the price. I asked for toast and was brought two slices of whole grain with butter on the side. I didn't notice an extra charge. Everything was fresh, seasoned well, and filling. My friends ordered a mix -- lemon ricotta pancakes, a gorgeous Bloody Mary, other brunch plates -- and everyone left happy. The second visit was for a birthday brunch -- about 20 of us. That could've gone left, but it didn't. The waitresses were attentive and kind. No confusion. No drama. I ordered my same veggie omelet (if it's not broken, I'm not fixing it), and it was just as good as the first time. Now, fast-forward to Saturday, February 28, 2026. I brought three girlfriends -- their first time. I was feeling like the resident expert at that point. We were seated at a high-top near the back, right in front of the bar, after about ten minutes. And then... nothing. Fifteen to twenty minutes went by. No greeting. No water. No "we'll be right with you." Just the host who sat us. We were hungry, so I flagged down a server named Michael. I don't think we were in his section, but he said he'd take care of us, which I appreciated. I let him know we'd been sitting a while but weren't quite ready to order yet. It took about another ten minutes before he came back. By then, we were starved. The energy felt different this time. Off. I didn't even feel adventurous enough to try something new. I stuck with my tried-and-true veggie omelet. This time I was charged for the toast. The omelet didn't look as hearty, and I didn't really see the asparagus like before -- maybe it was there, maybe not -- but it felt different. My friends? Not impressed. One ordered wings and potatoes and said she'd take them home as soon as she saw them, to put in the air fryer. She ate maybe three wings. Another ordered the breakfast with ham, eggs, sausage, and potatoes. She said the "breakfast ham" looked like deli slices and didn't care for any of it. The third ordered French toast and bacon and boxed most of it up. To be fair, Michael stepped in when no one else did. We thanked him. But this visit didn't feel like the first two. And consistency matters. I know new spots in food halls are still finding their rhythm, and I'm hoping this was just an off day. I won't write them off completely -- but I will give them some time before I return. Because when it's good, it's good. But Saturday? It just wasn't.
