It's fun to see everything happening out in the open. I ordered a light roast single-origin espresso and it was outstanding. Bright, clean, and pulled really well. My wife got the Milk & Cookies holiday latte, which was delicious without being overly sweet. The flavors actually worked with the coffee instead of covering it up, which we really appreciated. We also ended up picking up a mug, a bag of beans, and a couple of shirts. All the merch was good quality (real name-brand stuff) and reasonably priced. They had a decent amount of seating and the space was open and didn't feel cramped like some coffee shops can be. My husband went with a latte (which they did some very cute seasonal latte art on) and I went with a cold brew. The cold brew was SO good! It was excellent. Kind of chocolately and a little bourbony maybe? It reminded me of a discontinued barrel aged roast we used to get from our favorite Michigan roaster. I regret not asking what beans they used so I could order some later online to make some at home! Alas, I missed my window. But it made a huge impression on me. Not being a college football follower I didn't realize that Tennessee has a big rivalry with UGA (where we were headed next!). So the barista schooled us on the history and informed us that they had their big rivalry game in town the next day (luckily we were going in the opposite direction of everyone coming in for the game!) which explained a bit of the liveliness we saw on the streets and in our hotel. I'm not a huge coffee drinker, but I can't pass up free stuff! The employee who helped me was super friendly and asked if I needed the coffee ground. I guess I'd come back and try some of the other drinks, and grab one of the tasty bagel sandwiches before I'd really write this place off. That being said, I ordered 2 sweet foam cold brews. The foam to cold brew ratio was off from the beginning, and I wished for more coffee than cold foam, but it was still rather acidic to me. Don't hate me for saying this, but I'd rather drink coffee from the Keurig than dish out the $15 I paid for two lack luster beverages. Don't shoot the messenger, maybe it's better on other days.
