A welcoming coffee shop with homemade syrups and high quality ingredients. It took me awhile to come here, because they don't have a matcha latte on their menu. One day my husband stopped in solo for a drip coffee and asked if they had matcha lattes and they said yes. So, now there's a reason for me to come here. lol There's lots of seating and rooms you can reserve and it has a welcoming and homey atmosphere. Only improvement: actually list matcha latte on your menu, otherwise it would have been one lifetime stop for me and I wouldn't have come back. Just a thought.

I really enjoyed this cozy, welcoming spot! Met a friend here and we had an abundance of different nooks to choose from. Tables/chairs, couches, armchairs, and even a vault with a couch area and a hidden room with separate table in a conference-esque setup. They have some really creative seasonal drinks and then some tasty staples like cold brews and lattes. I had both a hot latte (creamy, rich, and flavorful) and a seasonal Black and Brew, which is vanilla cold brew with an amazingly unexpected blackberry cold foam. It was delicious and (surprisingly) not too sweet. Prices were competitive with the area and the service was great. Can't wait to go back, even though I live all the way in Oak Ridge.

I've driven past this establishment on many occasions and it's peeked my curiosity each time. So, today was the day I found time to actually stop in to see what's being offered. It's a former bank converted into a relaxed coffee house. Lots of folks enjoying drinks of their choice along with tasty bites, while scrolling through their laptops, books, phones, etc.. I enjoyed a breakfast sandwich on a croissant with drip coffee. It was freshly prepared and quite yummy. The prices are reasonable and the staff is warm and friendly. If you're in the area, definitely stop by, you won't be disappointed.

Commonplace, only open a week, is already a gift to the community. It's a joyful place for gathering, sharing, eating and drinking. Aside from all the amazing coffee and coffee drinks, they have a fantastic selection of bagels and bagel sandwiches, cinnamon rolls (GF also available) donuts and pastries. The atmosphere is perfect for working or social environments. Makes sure and check out the old vault (former bank building) that has been turned in to two rooms; one with a couch and one with a small conference table. It is clear the staff is eager to please, enjoys their job, and is ready to serve every customer who walks in the door. I cannot wait to see all the amazing things that come out of this gathering place disguised as Knoxville's newest coffee shop. You don't want to miss it!

I love that they kept the vault from when the location was a bank. There is seating inside...fun!

Cute coffee house in an old bank. The old vault is still there with seating inside. We tried lattes and a scone when we stopped in. The coffee was great and the atmosphere was pleasant. We'll be back the next time we are in the area.

Love this place! It was an old bank and they turned the vault into a little seating area, so fun! It has a lot of space and is super cute inside. They carry Richy Kreme donuts and bagels, and they make some of their own unique syrups. I got just an iced coffee with a little creme and lots of ice today and ohhhhh it was refreshing! I loved it! The owners are super involved in the community and really great people, and now they make great coffee too!!

Inside, it has a touch of 70's flair and midcentury pizzazz in a small but serene space. Seating is limited, with a few cozy seating spots and many bar seats and low-top tables. The wi-fi was rockin' and many outlets being put to good, techie use. The barista warmly greeted us and quickly got to work with our creations-a cold brew and a hot latte. There is a $1 upgrade for dairy alternatives and any sugar and sweetener is in a self-serve area, not added into the drink (although the barista asked me if that's okay, thus, I think she would have added if I preferred that). They have sugar and stevia, as an FYI for anyone who wants/needs a different option. They have a few baked treats and a few seasonal coffee flavors and add-in flavors and beyond that, the drink menu is simplistic. My latte was the creamiest, foamiest latte in all the land. The coffee itself was a touch more bitter than we like but we were able to doctor it up nicely with stevia. Cute spot with a lovely view of the surrounding, scenic neighborhood.

Beyond its beautiful aesthetics, the milky layer provided a rich and nutty sweetness that complemented the dark and earthy tones of the espresso. The cold brew was quite the adventure, taking in every layer, one at a time. What started out as subtle sweetness quickly turned into a cacao aroma and ended at citrus tartness. Small but mighty brick and mortar shop in a quaint neighborhood across from a church and lined with other local businesses. Bar stools, lounge chair, work bench, they've got it all. Certainly a hidden gem in residential Knoxville. So glad we stopped by!

We arrived an hour after opening and everything was being freshly restocked. The almond was good but maybe a tad over baked. It didn't have that tender flakiness I expected of a croissant. Flavorful yes and still worth a try. Next up was the lemon filled croissant. OMG!!! this was perfection in a pastry. Tender flaky and just the right amount of the filling. The filling was sweet and tart but in an addictive way. I wanted to go back and buy several more it was that good. If all the other fruit filled croissants are like the lemon, you won't be disappointed. They have a varón options including coffee. The guy who runs it is super nice and genuinely loves that he is able to provide seriously good coffee and treats for his community (and we're pretty syked on it too!). They make this cold brew coffee they call Nitro. Now, let me just tell you (and if you follow my Yelp page at all you know I'm a tea snob) I hardly ever like coffee, BUT this! This is AMMMAAAZZZIINNNGGG. It's super smooth, has great flavor, and double the caffeine! I am a wimp so I had him make a special concoction with milk and caramel syrup to cut down on the amount of coffee some, and it is such a treat! I tried it black too on the first time we visited, which was very daring for me, and I even loved it black, so that's saying a lot! I've also gotten their caramel apple cider, which was absolutely phenomenal! It blows Whole Foods and Starbucks caramel apple ciders outta the water! It smells like a spicy tea and tastes like the perfect fall day. The shop itself is super cute. Checkered floors, detailed branding with Sokno etched on one of the fridges and some nicely screen printed t-shirts, and the fridges leftover from when the space used to be a gas station are filled with locally made goods. I particularly love the wooden utensils (I will definitely be buying the wooden cake server one of these days!). Can't wait to see how this place grows! P.S. They have food too! When they told me they didn't have it because it wasn't in season, they saw my face sink even further. But they had a stash in the back! I asked for a sample and I saw the level of difficulty since it was frozen storage. It was worse when they thought I wanted to the whole pint and only asked for a scoop. Which I regret! This was such great pumpkin ice cream! There were chunks of pumpkin and ginger and it was so good! It didn't taste like clumps of sugar balls and even though it was from the frozen storage, I wish I bought the pint. But having ice cream for breakfast and a birthday cake for lunch was kind of fatty. I highly recommend coming here for the pumpkin ice cream if you like pumpkin.
