I own a very special car: the 1st edition (2017) of the 2nd generation Acura NSX (only 300 in existence). A friend of my wife backed into this car in my driveway. I was politely devastated. I searched locally (Hendersonville, NC) for a body shop. Very few would touch the aluminum body, and those that would talked about grinding out the crinkles and filling with a 'special' bonding compound. I knew I had to find somebody with a better solution. K&M rose to the top of my list with their experience with similar cars, their understanding of the paint-matching challenges, and their thorough approach to the repair, including the replacement of the quarter panel and blending of the paint color on adjacent panels. The other truly outstanding feature of K&M is their communication. Two knowledgeable customer-service agents are available, responsive to calls, and regularly make contact with the customer to provide progress reports on the repairs, in my case over a period of two-plus months. This is pics of my car when it got hit sitting still in a parking lot, verses when K and M got ahold of it! They totaled this perfectly good car out bc they are known to total out ppls vehicles over nothing! They could not make up their minds at k and m if the frame was bent in the front end(which it was not) and then they (k and m) had changed their mind that it was something completely different. Over being hit while sitting still in a parking lot, plus I had drove this car for a month before they got their nasty hands on it. And all that was wrong was cosmetic issues, and they decided to go behind our backs and have our insurance total out our perfectly good driving car almost brand new one at that, over some cosmetic issues!!!!!! For real k and m? Now I know exactly how y'all at k and m, got a nice new building in hickory, verses where y'all we're located at in little ole taylorsville in the building y'all were in!!! It's bc you know how to play ppls insurance and get their vehicles totaled out over nothing!!! And in the end the result is you get paid out more! Y'all are sorry at k and m! You don't know how to properly fix some simple cosmetic work without totally totaling out someone's almost brand new vehicle and any other one y'all get by with! This company was very professional start to finish. I had to bring my Tesla from Asheville to Hickory because it was the closest , authorized repair center. My first phone call was with Tina, who guided me through the process. She was honest in letting me know between my lame insurance company, Allstate , and the length of time to receive parts, that I was looking at 3-5 weeks. I appreciated Tina's be so forthcoming , therefore I was able to manage my expectations. Quinten was also really helpful. When the photos I took for the insurance company weren't accepted, he readily took new photos for me. The work done on my NEW Kia was great but I got 3 different dates it would be ready for pick up and then I called before coming and was told it would be 30 mins. I got there 1 hour later and still had to wait for sometime after that. KM only had my car for 4 weeks. It was a bump up in a parking lot. So they really need to work on customer delivery . I not happy with the amount of time it's taken them to finish the job. Not sure I would ever tell anyone to go there. Your plaques on the wall don't mean anything for your customers are not happy. read more

Out Better than In... I researched K & M online before I sought them out. I had damage to the roof portion (aluminum) of a 2002 Lexus SC430. I stopped in for them to take a look at the damage and got an estimate. They are very knowledgeable and professional. The facility is state of the art, modern and clean. I didn't utilize the service of almost daily updates as there was no rush on the repair. I note there are numerous high end vehicles at the business for various repairs. I picked up the vehicle today and outside the obvious damage, the repair was far better than I expected. All parts matched up perfectly and it was overall far superior than when I dropped it off. Recommended by Audi of Asheville as this is one of the few shops that are certified to repair Audi's. My Audi TT had door damage and other from being sideswiped. My first impression was when I drove past the bays. Looks like a NASCAR shop as you could eat off the floor. I had a short wait for the lady at the desk but this gave me time to notice all of the major luxury and sports cars they are certified to work on. Mercedes, Porsche, you name it. After a courteous check-in, we left. As expected, there was a wait for parts but when completed they took the car to Audi for the final adjustments. I picked it up yesterday and all I can say is my car is 100% perfect. Even the interior was cleaned, vacuumed! I highly recommend this shop for high-quality auto repair. Having had other experiences with auto body work in the past I was skeptical of the promise that my car would look like it did when it came off the showroom floor. But, as they are the only certified VW body shop nearby my home, I went ahead and scheduled the service. The results not only met my expectations but exceeded them. The car's rear bumper looks like it actually came on the vehicle and I would have no clue it wasn't the original bumper if I didn't know better. But better yet that interactions with the employees in support roles was not only easy but pleasant. I can't give these folks enough kudos for the great work they do.
