I read a lot of the reviews on here and I disagree with most of the posts. I had a difference experience, Aaron was fantastic. My truck, a 2021 Ram 1500 was vandalized on New Years day morning. Aaron kept me informed, was absolutely polite and i felt like he was working for me like I should expect. They got it done in the time they estimated. The truck looks great. August 30, 2024 - Gerber repaired front end damage to my car (Subaru 2020 Forester) - They provided a very rapid response to a request for an appointment for an insurance appraisal, they provided me with a very detailed discussion of repairs, they gave an amazingly reasonable estimate, they provided a very rapid response time for repairs (and met their timeline!) and they did all adjustments of computer mechanics for safety features. Very pleasant employees, very easy to navigate their website to monitor progress. I would have preferred more personal communication - phone calls instead of text messages - as when I called the number provided via text, the call rolled over to the national headquarters with al lengthy wait time and they never returned my calls. As a result, I drove over to the Hickory location twice (while I was on hold with the national office) and I never received a response from them to an insurance question until I picked up the repaired car. My dispute (according to them) is with State Farm, and they are probably correct, but it would have nice to have talked with Gerber personally before I picked up the car and was annoyed. That would have taken now customer service call/message. I was also surprised that when I did up the car, they did not walk me through the repairs visually, they just handed me paperwork and the key; so I took my own photos to document repairs. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend them for response time, quality of repairs, and price. read more

Long story, making it short. Took my car in for an estimate about three weeks ago. Agree for the shop fix my broken windshield. Made an appointment same day as went in for estimate with front desk receptionist (Charlene), signed paper works. Was looking for a date that's convenient for car drop off--Charlene did not take that very well. SHE ROLLED HER EYES ON ME! (I try not to make a big deal out of it). Was told will take 2-3 days max for job to be done. OK. Drop off the car the night before my appointment. Three weeks later, no calls. I was being patience and try to understand every workplace is short of staff. Called and check on the status car work, spoke with CHARLENE, was asked am I sure the car was drop off at this location? Because she can't find me in the system, was there an appointment made to drop off the car, did I sign any paper work??? WTF??? Really??? So the whole hour I came in for an estimate and made an appointment to drop off the car, what the hell did she do!!! Did she did this intentionally, she doesn't want to do her job, or don't know how to do her job??!!! Now my rental will be up in one week. She now claim that it should be done within the next 2 days. Wouldn't recommend this place. Take your money elsewhere. Only gave 1 star because it's required so I can post the review. read more

Customer service is next level! This was my first time having to deal with insurance and a collision shop. Super helpful and works side by side with State Farm to get you the smoothest service. While I hope to never need them again, I would definitely use them again!!! read more

These people are very unprofessional, incompetent, and do very poor work. We had went through them through our insurance company and they messed up the work. They put a wheel on the car that was bent and almost caused us to have an accident. Even one of their installers said that that should have been replaced but yet they put junk part on car and don't care about people's safety. And the ladies who worked up front are extremely rude, especially Sunny. Bad attitude. We ended up getting another car a little while later but I would never recommend these crooks to anybody. As soon as I walked in everyone just stared. I walked towards the receptionist, she told me to hold on as she finished a text message and then looked up at me without any enthusiasm. The lady that actually helped me was not much better that was enough for me to take my car elsewhere, if they aren't willing to make a first impression what makes me think they are going to attempt to do a good job. I had many issues with their service. Overall I was not satisfied, it was a very stressful and time-consuming process. My vehicle got dropped off on December 26, 2019, and was ready for pick up a few minutes before they closed on January 14, 2020, so I wasn't able to pick it up until January 15, 2020. They do an okay job with keeping you updated through their messaging system for the majority of the time as long as it is for the price estimate, starting the repairs and estimated pick up. One of the major issues I had with them was that they lost my vehicle key. I understand accidents happen but I was not notified at all. I only know because I asked them why I wasn't receiving the key I brought in. I was told one story, then later told something different. I was missing many items from my vehicle when I picked it up. Suni the general manager from this location was very helpful in sorting this issue out. I had a few issues with the job they did when replacing one door and fixing the other door, but when I asked questions about it they seemed to get aggravated and say it was like that. Towards the end, I just didn't bother mentioning that they didn't even place the window handle in properly when closed all the way the handle is pointing upwards and always catches on to everything when entering or exiting the vehicle. Sonny and Rashey provided great customer service taking care of all my needs and making sure I was a satisfied customer.

Labor Day weekend and got a good 20" scratch on my car plus a dent that I felt was impossible to bend back. Gerber came in within a week process and fixed it back to normal. Car actually look cleaner and better than before. They also stayed contacted through text messages telling me bout when the car would be ready. All in all great job! read more

Gerber wants a person to give them a 10 rating. I did because they did a fairly good job on a small job. Then I discovered they messed up the right rear door of my car. This door does not open without sticking and I have to pull hard to get it open. I took it back to get the door adjusted and was told that was the way it was suppose to operate. It didn't operate that way before they did repair work on that door and the other 3 doors operate as they always have. AVOID this place at all costs. A person could not pay me enough money to ever step foot in this place of business again. read more

I had my car fixed July/August 2016. What was supposed to be a week turned into 4 weeks, When I finally got my car back it had dust all in it. My insurance company had put down on the estimate sheet that a cover was to be used to cover the interior so dust would not get everywhere. Gerber did not do that. The inside of the door casing was not put in properly so I had to take it back to get that fixed. Apparently they took out my whole dashboard just to fix the door cause everything in my glove compartment was thrown in the back floorboard, a piece of my steerling wheel is missing, my radio did not work and my heater is messed up. After finally getting Rashey to understand that the radio worked before I brought my car there they said they would fix it. It took three hours for them to do that. I did not check my heater to see if it worked before I left. My a/c in my car would not get cold and I called them and Rashey said that had nothing to do with what they did. But everything worked before I took my car there. The front end of my car was supposed to be aligned. It was not and my insurance had that in the estimate. I am not happy with the service at Gerber and I will never take a vehicle here again. I wish I had looked at the reviews before I went there. They do not do what the insurance company has in your estimate they cut every corner they can but they want your deductible before they take your car. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! read more
