And, back to AZ, I hadn't been inside a Publix in 40 years! And, my! How they've changed! But, they are definitely bigger and better than what I remember. Needless to say, the prices are also bigger than what I remember. LoL I'll see about buying stuff from here through InstaCart. Though, they're further away, so I'm inclined to tip more.

Hello, To whom it may concern, I had a horrible experience…read morewith two of your female store employees today at the Publix store located at 2775 North Columbia Street in Milledgeville, GA 31061. Manager on duty Mike Gannon 478-223-5015 I visited the store today at about 5:30 pm to process a rain check for an elderly friend who lives in Gordon Ga. There were not enough items on the shelf, so I asked for an extension on behalf of the friend. I first encountered a large black woman with glasses and dreads. She had an attitude when I approached the counter and did not speak or greet me. She immediately picked up the phone to call someone else while saying, "We just do not have the volume in this store, and we will never have that item." I asked if there were any more items in the back stock. Ignoring me, she repeated, "We just don't have it, and you waited until the last day to get the item." I informed her pleasantly that I was filling the rain check for a friend who stayed out of town and whose relative came the day before, encountered the same issue, and got an extension for the item. She asked the other person on the phone and then said, " No, you can't get it. You have to get whatever is on the shelf." I asked to speak to a manager. Another heavy-set black lady whose picture is on the wall between two men, behind the customer service desk, came into the area and said, " You cannot have the item. I tried to re-explain, as the first lady was really talking over me, and I told her she couldn't get it. The manager lady then re-stated. I said I knew I should have driven to Lake Oconee, Publix, feeling discriminated against as they both looked at me with disdain. She said the term policy is 30 days. I explained again that the lady had checked several times, and the item wasn't on the shelf. Both ladies scoffed. I asked if Brian was present. The manager lady with the picker on the shelf stated that he is just a store clerk. I was shocked. Brian walked in with me over 30 years ago at what was once Piggly Wiggly or Food Maxx. Brian is an older white guy with glasses who has SUPERB customer service; he would never treat a customer this way. I was a manager at Bruno's Corporation in 1994. I then turned and told the ladies to have a great rest of their day and left the area. I am highly disappointed in the quality of customer service from BOTH of these women. Please do better. I can easily shop at Lake Oconee Publix. This store is conveniently located about ten minutes from me; however, with this kind of customer service, I DO NOT have to spend my money in the Milledgeville Publix. Publix is supposed to be top-tier in customer service. Today, not so much. There is no place for bias or discrimination in customer service. This matter could have easily been resolved, but instead, these two women just want to tell me now. Neither were they courteous nor polite in any way. This can be viewed on the camera. Instead, they appeared to be and behaved angrily or irritated that I asked. Respectfully submitted,

It would be nice to have an employee that knows about cheese that is there to answer questions during prime store hours. (Have been there 6 times and no employee. The deli staff does not know the flavors) Produce department is getting better! Variety is growing and the prepared items look fresh. There is a lack of fresh herbs, just plastic boxed ones. Seafood department has a wide variety. New sushi display with "freshly in house made rolls". Cashiers are quick and always friendly. I have seen more registers open if there are lines. Baggers do not hesitate to take your bags to the car.

I live in Canton, Georgia, but we decided to get married at a fancy AirBnB on Lake Oconee in Eatonton, Georgia. We were going to cater (apps, food, cake, flowers) the entire wedding through Publix. The key word here was "were." I went to my local Canton Publix and got their specialty cake brochure and talked to the bakery about options. My Canton Publix was fantastic and excited, saying they could pretty much make whatever my heart desired. We told them that we love one of their already-discovered creation under their Decadent Dessert menu called the Strawberry Limonada cake. It came in an 8 inch and we were hoping they could do a 10 inch and and 8 inch and stack them. The Canton Publix said absolutely. When we called the Eatonton Publix, we were not treated with such grace and excitement. They acted like I was a nuisance to call and made me feel guilty to even ask for them to bake me a cake. I am pretty sure I was about to drop a lot of money at this Publix so you can imagine my disappointment. They first told me they could only do the Strawberry Limonada cake in an 8 inch and that we could only order from the specialty cakes brochure. OK, that is fine. I understand their limitations. I called back the next day with an order that fit within their brochure parameters...white cake with raspberry filling. They then told me they cannot do the following things: - Stack cakes. - Make any cake other than an 8 inch or sheet cake. - Make a cake with any filling...period. They also told me all this with a sense of yelling and angst. And they cannot even fulfill one specialty cake that their brochure says they can do. So we called corporate and told them about our experience and decided to remove our complete catering order. They did not deserve our business or money. Instead of rating this Publix as a one star, I opted for a two star because we still got just my bouquet and a veggie tray from them and they worked out great. If you read other reviews on this Publix, you will read similar stories about the personnel in the bakery. It sounds like it is time for a change in that department. I urge you to not use this Publix if planning a wedding. They will take your happy and excited mood and turn it sour.

You used to be able to count on Publix being the only store where prices were correct but I guess times have changed. The one saving grace is that if you do catch an incorrect price, they are usually willing to fix it. So I'd say overall the service is ok. The atmosphere is definitely better than Kroger and Walmart in our area but generally just acceptable. The quality of the products is ok but that quality is outweighed by the high prices and by incorrect prices at checkout. I wish I could say I loved this store but unfortunately I only come here because it's the closest bearable option in my neighborhood. If you come here, you'll most likely find what you need and the quality will be pretty ok, but I really wish they would check their prices more carefully and stop raising them so sky high.

Went back for my salad at 6:05 PM and still it was not ready. It took me another 20 minutes to get someone to help me. Finally someone told me they hadn't cut the chicken for my salad and should've called me. Confused at this point because isn't it possible to slice the chicken need it now on the other side? 48 minutes later of waiting and asking to speak to the manager I finally went to customer service. The manager was physically standing there and told the person who was trying to remotely help me that she was done with her shift and she was leaving not knowing I was standing right there worst customer service ever and unapologetic. The manager at the service desk was apologetic, but she could tell how frustrated I was at that point that I had spent over an hour near the sub in deli section where there were seven people working.
