Their professionalism & commitment to providing value to their customers is obvious in how the job was done. But it's the people doing the work hands-on - Greg & his team - that earn my highest praise. I didn't have very high hopes for this tree, and Greg did a good job setting realistic expectations for me initially. Happily (as luck would have it) the ivy damage was treatable enough and my tree was left mostly restored after the fact. This single experience alone is enough to convince me that GW Tree Service can be trusted with all my future business. Sooner or later, I'll need help again because these trees will continue growing loll.

When we purchased our home, the tree had not been trimmed in 6 years... as well as an orange, lemon, 2+ story tall fig and numerous 50+ years old mature rose bushes. His guys came prepared to work, they were safe and took all proper precautions and completed the job in less than 2 hours. They trimmed the giant California Nash perfectly even at the very top. Whe they finished trimming, the front and back yard was totally cleaned up & they even went out of the way to rake/blow/mulch all the past many many months of fallen leaves (which totally covered the front yard like a blanket). All branches and leaves they cut down were mulched, and like I mentioned, they went above and beyond to even clean up our yard from the debris which had been there even prior to their arrival! At no extra charge! Also, their price was the best out of all 8 estimates I got. We even received a free estimate from Mario himself & I would hire them again when our large trees need it in another 1.5-2 years. Mario and his foreman were the nicest people! I'm concerned for my family's safety since it's a very large tree and sits just behind our house. We're anxious to get the tree removed and had scheduled Jose and his crew to cut it down over the weekend. When they arrived the first thing Jose said was "the tree looks bigger now!". He spent about 15 minutes looking at the tree and discussing it with his crew and then told me that they would not do the job. He made up an excuse about a cable up high cutting into a branch making it unsafe to go up higher in the tree. I explained that it was not a cable cutting into a branch. What he was looking at were two separate support cables installed years ago by Davey Landscaping (a very reputable company). The cables are in fact making it safer to work in the tree. Even after I pointed out his error he said "well we're not going to do it " and left abruptly. I think he and his crew felt the price Jose quoted was too low for the job, but rather than saying so and having a conversation, he chose to make up a story like a child. Sad
