Our small HOA had a problem with tree mites in our cedars earlier this summer. Sap was falling on homeowner's front porches, steps and railings causing a significant mess. Carlos went above and beyond to research and find the safest and most effective treatment for our trees, which he found from a vendor in northern California. He worked with the vendor to make sure CP & Sons application was correctly done. Carlos also was careful to only slightly trim only the affected parts knowing that the summer is the worst time to do a major trimming. His communication with myself, the homeowner coordinating the project, was excellent and his follow-up on the project was as well. This was a two day project plus he returned about a week later to lay mulch. He took pictures of the trees to show me the new growth. We will definitely use Carlos and CP & Sons for our annual maintenance and any issues we have with our trees. Also, Carlos and all the workers adhered to COVID-19 guidelines and rules re: masks and other safety precautions. No issues in that department. read more

Had Carlos and crew out to put in a bio-root barrier to prevent neighbors bamboo growing under our fence and to remove existing invasive bamboo. The work was done in late 2022. In July of this year I noticed a shoot growing back under the barrier. I reached out to Carlos, who got back to me and came by to check it out. The follow up work was never done because after that he completely disappeared. I have sent email after email, left message after message, and had no response at all for months now. Bad customer service. read more

I've used CP & Sons for a few years now and Carlos and his crew are the absolute best. Really nice people, who are also incredibly knowledgeable and good at their job. They really take care with what they're doing, leaving trees looking healthy and beautiful, and without causing destruction to the rest of your yard. I can't tell you how many other tree services I've used where they've just destroyed flowers and other fruit and veg plants below. With Carlos, the whole yard is left immaculate. read more

Absolutely great experience. Carlos was responsive and communicative, showed up on time for the estimate. The day of service he brought several guys with him who were friendly and respectful. They cleaned up the yard and returned everything to pristine condition. The trees look great. I couldn't be happier. read more

I called CP & Sons to have a tree in my parkway trimmed. They answered right away when I called, and gave me a fair, honest price. The two guys arrived on time, were pleasant and professional. They did a great job, and cleaned up the area when they were finished. I'd be happy to hire them again next time I need a tree trimmed. read more

Carlos and his team trimmed a huge jacaranda tree for me on 2/24/24. The tree had been very badly pruned the last time, so there was a lot of correction to do. At present, it had 'finally' recovered from the last pruning, but it was quite mis-shapened and was hugely overgrown over the roof of the house. In my opinion, Carlos is an artist. We could not be more pleased at how well-balanced and healthy the tree now looks. He managed to prune it quite thoroughly without making it look like a skeleton, as had been done previously. I would not hesitate to use Carlos and his family again, and I can recommend them without hesitation. A lovely family, easy to work with, very careful in their work and cleanup. Wonderful results. read more

Cp & Sons Tree Service - The professional crew of CP & Sons working in my yard. - Tree Services Near Me

Carlos and his crew arrived early and ready to trim our 2 palm trees that had years of dead fronds. Another company said they couldn't do it because of the risk of dropping fronds on our awnings. Cp & Sons did an amazing job, navigating around our awnings with no damage. The clean up was amazing and we would defiantly recommend Cp & Sons to anyone looking for excellent tree care. read more

This is by far the best tree service that I have ever used in over two decades of home ownership. Fantastic, family run business. Carlos Pulido Jr came to my house and provided a free estimate. He also returned to personally manage the job. He was very personable, helpful and knowledgeable. Most importantly, Carlos understood our attachment to the silk tree that he pruned for us and meticulously removed the dead wood and cleaned it up without over pruning. Based on the careful work by Carlos on the team, we believe the tree has been saved and will be with us for years to come. Thanks so much, Carlos!! We will definitely use CP & Sons in the future. Very highly recommended!! read more

CP & Sons came recommended by another tree service I'd called that was booked up. Carlos was responsive, communicative by text, on time and explained things simply. He didn't try to upsell and took time to answer my questions. His crew removed a pine tree that had been planted too close to our roof, and shaped a willow tree and pomegranate tree. They arrived promptly at 7 am (notify your neighbors -- the electric saw is LOUD) and ground the pine stump out of existence. I found their prices reasonable. When I wasn't satisfied with the shape of the pomegranate tree, they returned to prune it without additional charge. We will hire them again. read more

Carlos & the team are 100% professional, quiet, clean, responsive & reasonably priced. They have my full endorsement! Thank you CP & Sons.

Great people. Great service. We couldn't be happier with Carlos and the job they did. We will be using them again!

I HIGHLY recommend CP & Sons. They are knowledgeable arborists and great workers. I've dealt with many "tree trimmer's" in the past and would never use anyone else but Carlos and his men ever again. They know what they're doing and are very professional. reasonable pricing too. read more

The ficus along my driveway was totally overgrown and kept us from enjoying the California sun. I had a couple of bids but they were out of sight. Thankfully, I saw Carlos' wife and sweet children waiting while he finished a job in the neighborhood. They are such a wonderful family that I knew I would like him. He arrived promptly to give me an estimate. I was astounded that It was so much better than the others. He and another man arrived on time this morning and carefully negotiated a large (but pretty red) machine up the driveway. I kept my eyes glued on Carlos most of the time. It was absolutely fascinating!! He manipulated several tools while 40 ft in the air in the basket. I was so impressed that he sheared the trees beautifully while using a chain saw and long gas trimmers and clippers. I enjoyed his artistry so much that I can't wait for him to do the other side of the yard! A++++! Oh yes, they left the driveway spotless!! read more

We recently used CP & Sons Tree Service for trimming some rather large trees that had not been trimmed in years. Carlos and his team were professional, communicative (via text, phone and email), and always on time. They got the requisite permits when required, and set up the parking signs as well. Their pricing was very reasonable, and the level of service was exceptional. I hope they're around for many, many years so we can keep using them on our projects. Great family run business. read more

Carlos and his team were efficient, knowledgeable, and hard working. They did everything they promised and more. We loved working with them.

CP & Sons did a wonderful job. Not only did they show up when promised, follow the arborist's report to a "T", clean up flawlessly, AND carefully move the items that were in their way, they sent me email reminders and texts so I didn't mess up. Very friendly. highly recommend. read more

I can't say enough good things about this company. We had to remove a very large tree that was the highlight of our backyard...very sad...but the tree was sick and very old and too close to the house and neighbor's property to let go. Carlos and his team took the tree down, left us a pile of firewood and a nice flat piece to turn into a table with which to remember the tree. And, they spread a fresh layer of chip mulch all around our flower beds...fantastic! These guys are great! read more

CP & Sons is by far the best tree training service I have used. Both guys who showed up were sons of the owner and they were friendly, well spoken and listened to my needs. **They were very professional **Sent email reminders **Showed up on time **Had a modern clean truck **Used modern safety gear **Hand trimmed the tree with care and attention to detail. **Cleaned up after them selves When needing a tree trimmed; I would highly recommend Cp & Sons. read more

We have used Carlos and his team on a number of occasions, and we always have been very happy with the results. Yesterday, they were here, on time, and fully prepared, to do the job, trimming all the trees around our pool. Although I had not mentioned this to Carlos in advance, they came with a cover to protect the pool from all the falling leaves, and once they were all finished, he left a man here to clean every ounce of debris that was left in the pool, and he did an immaculate job. I don't know of many tree service companies that go above and beyond like CP & Sons. They are Number One on our Call Sheet! Thanks to all of you at CP & Sons! read more

If you're looking for someone to show up when they say and communicate with you every step of the way then CP & Sons is the company you're looking for. Charlie trimmed our palm trees and removed massive shrub/bush/tree growing over our cement wall. We were not home when he did the work but he texted us (with pictures) and kept us posted with every snag he ran into. Charlie speaks English, doesn't try to get you to do work you don't need, and answers questions within 24 hours. Will totally recommend him to friends and family. read more

We were so glad that we chose Cp&Sons to trim down our two palm trees. First of all, they were extremely polite and had great costumer service. Our job required permits which they handled and on the day of the trimming, they arrived on time worked clean and professional. In addition, their prices were comparable if not better than other company's. We definitely recommend them!!!! read more

We had a wonderful experience with CP & Sons Tree service. Carlos, the owner, is a licensed arborist, is super knowledgeable and very personable. His crew showed up on time, worked diligently and did a great job pruning the many trees on our property, removing some of the smaller trees and clearing away much of the deadwood, leaving the area clean and free of debris. The fee was reasonable and Carlos went beyond our agreement, pruning a tree in our backyard at no additional charge. We highly recommend Carlos and his crew. Give them a call. You'll be glad you did! read more

Incredibly unprofessional, Carlos came by and inspected my outdoor patio, trees need trimming. He left and I never heard from him again, no call or email. I do not recommend this company. read more

They were prompt, polite, knowledgeable and reasonably priced. As well as being fast workers. At the initial meeting Charlie gave me a thorough overview of what would be done the day of service to ensure the rest of the yard was not destroyed. I had multiple bids and none of the other companies walked me thru and offered me this. And as well as being fast workers they completely cleaned up after removing my 70 foot tall tree from my yard. I would highly recommend CP & Sons to do any work in your yard. They were very professional and sent me emails to remind me as well. A very positive experience. read more

I can't say enough good things about CP & Sons. We had 3 incredibly large palms in our backyard that were very close to our little house. They craned them out and made it look easy. They responded to my unending questions and emails (I was very nervous) and were very kind and patient with us. They showed up as promised, on time, and did a phenomenal job. read more

Impressed with their professional work. On time and did the job right. Highly recommend them for your tree service needs.

They came out promptly to look things over and made recommendations for the work I was requesting. The bid came in and was more than fair. I had to email to schedule the work; they came the same week. They arrived on time; they cleaned up beautifully. I couldn't be happier and I will use them again in the future, without question. The work was a pomegranate tree, some bougainvillea which needed to be tamed, trimming of two jacaranda (so they wouldn't touch the house), and three huge (waited way too long for this to be done!) silver sheen pittosporum. Just lovely people! read more

These folks were professional and did great work. They arrived at 7 am as promised. We reviewed the estimate and the proposal. Then all the work was done. They did a thorough clean up. My trees have never looked this good. I had one tree removed which they did safely. They were polite and approachable. I highly recommend this company. read more

Carlos and his team were on time, conscientious and very neat. They did a terrific job trimming our huge Tipuano Tipu tree in our front yard, as well as trimming some giant overgrown bird of paradise tree trunks. They were artistic in their shaping of the trees, mindful not to "hack back" as other arborists often do. Carlos is highly knowledgeable about trees and how branches grow back, and how to best let the trees grow happily, while providing shade for the homeowner. He used a cool crane on tracks, that looked like a small spaceship, with four landing legs, super cool. I highly recommend them. read more

Great crew and service. Trimmed two 60 foot palm trees for us. Reasonably priced compared to crazy high estimates by others. Cleaned up thoroughly. Will use again. read more

CP Tree service is a very professional company. From my initial meeting with Carlos, he followed up on every issue regarding my job which was very challenging. I would highly recommend them for any tree work. It was a pleasure to work with them. read more

I was impressed to see CP & Sons care about their work as well as the safety of their staff by investing in a small lift to facilitate the trimming of my bamboos that grew 15 feet taller than the nursery had advised. It was actually fascinating watching Tony maneuver the lift that looked like a robot anchored on its "legs." The crew worked and cleaned up efficiently. They also trimmed a large overgrown pepper tree, and cut down a messy tall twiggy Eugenia seeded by the birds. After lunch, they were pleasant to re-trim the pepper tree more to allow more light and openness on top where privacy with the neighbors was not a problem. I like that CP & Sons is a family operated business located in my neighborhood and will definitely call them for regular maintenance. My only note as a homeowner who prunes all the small trees myself fairly well (as opposed to light trimming), is to discuss at the estimate meeting if and how you prefer to prune back, such as the smaller branches to cut off from the main branches or the trunk. Since it was their first visit, I relied on their great reviews to do as they usually work. However, I have noticed that even the better tree companies prefer to trim more conservatively than I like. I have taken a photo of the trimmed pepper tree to show CP next time! read more

Second time using. Great followup project straightening and bolstering up of my flegling cypress row which had started to lean after high winds earlier in the year. Carlos demonstrated nothing but diligence in ensuring my "ship-shape" nitpicks on staking and tie-offs be done correctly. Great, friendly crew. Have already word-of-mouthed them to 2 others in the neighborhood. read more

CP did a great job. Our 8 towering 80' trees hadn't been trimmed in many years. I selected them because the boss, Carlos Jr is the son of our gardener. He is a licensed arborist. He came out to inspect the trees with me. He provided an email bid that was very reasonable. He and his crew arrived on time both days. There were four guys. Three worked in the trees while one guy was below hauling cuttings to the grinder. I was amazed at the tools and safety equipment they used. These guys are not your gardener doing a bit of trimming from the ground. They are true professionals and skilled experts. They suited up with cutting tools, ropes, and climbing gear including hard hats. Very professional. They thinned and shaped all the trees. They know their profession and did an excellent job. They hauled all cuttings including many branches up to 15" in diameter to the grinding machine. I was amazed it easily ground them up. The trees were so large that many had spread over to the neighbor's yard. They cleaned up the cuttings from those yards too. After they were done, they cleaned all the residual mess and left our yard clean and tidy including putting yard furniture back into place. I wouldn't hesitate to use Carlos Jr and his team again! read more
