I have been a customer for at least six years! I've referred people to them etc. The business was sold a couple of years ago. Since then, the prices have fluctuated so much! It is a different price every time I get my nails done. The last time I was there, I got a dip, asked for almond shaped nails. When finished, he said the bill was 50.00! I asked him why because I've never paid that much! He told me that they charge 5.00 for almond shape! What? I've never paid extra for the shape of my nails! Said it takes longer to do! Not true! It's no longer than when I have a different shape done!!! They do beautiful work, but I am tired of the price changes all the time. I gave this place a try because it looked like it had new ownership and renovations since the last time I had went. I wanted a mani/pedi before my spring break trip to California. {PROS} *My friend and I walked in without an appointment and got sat immediately. *Offered something to drink. *Polish did turn out very nice. *Inside of the place looked new along with all the equipment. {CONS} *We were pushed to keep trying to upgrade our pedicures. We both said we wanted the basic pedicure multiple times. They seemed disappointed when we kept refusing. Slightly uncomfortable. *The salon was almost empty of people, however they didn't sit us next to each other while getting our nails done.. seemed slightly strange. Probably the worst experience I've had at a nail salon in a while. I got the jelly pedicure and asked for hot stones (NOT A paraffin wax. LET THAT BE KNOWN). The woman who was going to do my nails tried to get me to get the most expensive pedicure ($50) and I declined 2 separate times. But she asked again... The jelly pedicure is cool, I will say - but first my water was too hot and the woman doing my nails kept trying to shove my feet in the bath AFTER I told her 2 times it was way too hot. She then put ice cold water in the tub making the water only lukewarm. I was told the stone massage would be $5 - cool. Sold. But, I hardly got a massage. My nails are all crooked. There is polish all over my skin and cuticles. The application is streaky (it's not the polish, I always bring my own and know how my polishes apply), uneven and my nails aren't even completely covered. The woman who did my nails wasn't paying attention at ALL to what she was doing. Her and the other women were too busy laughing and pointing at my friend because she had her jacket over her lap because she was cold and it looked like she didn't have pants on. really professional. Came time to pay and I was told I was given a paraffin wax along with my stone massage because the woman doing my nails misunderstood... I never even muttered the words "paraffin wax" so I don't know how she was confused. I didn't ask for it. But I was told I would have to pay for it. Fake. News. I was not doing that. After a few minutes of stating my case, another woman said I wouldn't have to pay. This experience was a nightmare. I wouldn't recommend. read more

I've never had a pedicure take 1 1/2 hours so it's not some place you want to go if you are short on time. I had an appointment so I was surprised when they had my feet soak for 30 minutes, at other places it's been a max of 10 - 15 minutes. when I was finally done I walked out with the polish on one big toe messed up. I really wanted to love this place because they were accommodating to us. They opened at 10am this Sunday for the three of us to get manis and pedis (an hour before they were supposed to open). But it's literally been 4 days and 2 of my nails have fallen off. I don't even know when they fell off, they just disappeared. I will NEVER go back to JV nails again!! I was a loyal customer for years and I just had a terrible experience!! I had my nails and toes done yesterday, with Shellac polish and it all peeled off by the end of today..... so at first they told me on the phone that they would fix it but when I showed up they would not fix it!! I paid almost 90$ with tip....that is not ok!! They told me because it was more than one nail they did not have time to do it!! I'm just going to say avoid this place, I rarely post things like this but this place was recommended by a regular. I am no expert but I don't think dip powder requires 4 layers and i'm pretty sure i'm not suppose to be scabbing from getting knicked and/or bleeding. The dip powder was so thick and my nails were poorly shaped. I tried to communicate with the tech about what I wanted but I don't think she was listening at all. The staff was friendly but we waited an hour for service (they were busy so that part is understandable). I spent $80 and 3 and a half hours at this place and I left almost in tears. I treat myself maybe twice a year to manicures and pedicures. I hate that their english is so bad, wish it was better and they talked slower. I got a mani-pedi a gentleman did my nails. He did great on my pedi. But when it came to my manicure he was not paying attention to what he was doing and cut 2 of my cuticles and they bleed horrible. Me wanting to put pressure on them to stop the bleeding and he kept pushing my hand away and just placing a cotton ball on it. I was charged full price and no empathy. I had to put an antibiotic cream and bandages on my fingers when i got home. I used to love coming here. I looked forward to every appointment as they were always thorough and my nails always looked great after. This past week I went and got a dip manicure and as you know it takes about an hour to get it done. The color was wrong and very translucent. I didn't receive an apology, but was asked to come back in the morning to get it fixed. I understand they have no control over how the polish shows when the color is new, but no apology was issued. I was still charged for the manicure when leaving and then still had to come back the next day to have the owner's wife redo my nails. I still never got an apology, she was rude, cut my cuticles and didn't apologize when I withdrew my hand in pain. My cuticles are cut up and sore everywhere. I won't be returning and will be on the look out for a new location. Stay away folks. read more

I was very disappointed after bringing my girls here for a mommy/daughter date to get ready for the father/daughter dance. However, we were rushed through even after making an appointment and couldn't even all sit next to each other. Then, the man who did my 6year olds nails was very unfriendly to her and scolded her for moving. The design I asked for her was mucked up. My oldest was done way before us- her manicure lasted 8 minutes at the most! My nails look ok but not even close to what they should for the price. Finally, at the end they charged me more than their website advertised for kids and I pointed this out to them. (See picture of online menu, they charged me $12 for my oldest and $10 for my youngest).Then the female manager argued with me about it in front of the whole shop of people, it was embarrassing! I even tried to just ask if we could pay and leave and the lady kept going. Then, when we returned home my oldest's nail polish peeled off!! Very disheartening and surprising since I have been there before with good experiences. I will not be returning! I came here for a pedicure the other day. It was a Wednesday and the place was pretty busy, but I had called ahead and was able to get in the chair quickly. I got to work with Lee, who was very funny and did a nice job. There is an obvious camaraderie between the staff members and it's pretty upbeat. The salon itself was very clean. They also have tons of colors to chose from both in regular polish and UV cured polish. I chose the wild orchid pedicure which included a hot stone massage and all for $35. I'm obsessed with the smell of the lotion they used which I am pretty sure is just the Industry Source's version of bath and body works enchanted orchid scent.... regardless I need to get some. For my taste, Lee didn't remove enough dead skin on my feet and my nails aren't evenly cut (on side is much longer than the other) which is why I docked 1 star. I'm still debating whether or not I will be back for a manicure. Will update if I do. :) read more
