Combo B - salmon and avocado, dynamite, sushi
    Sharon Y.

The fish tasted quite fresh, and you could especially tell when eating the nigiri. The maki was just okay as the rice fell apart a little. I purchased this with the BOGO deal on Uber eats. With the discount each Combo B plate was just under $9 which I think is an amazing deal. For this price I think it was definitely worth it. However, I do not think this sushi quality justifies its regular price of ~$17. In the past I have also tried the torched sushi and rolls here, which are pretty good. The regular sushi is nothing extraordinary, but I'm glad to have a place in the neighborhood for when I have any cravings.

I had no idea this place existed until Uber Eats showed me! I got a dynamite roll and salmon sashimi and edamame. I love supporting local businesses so I thought I'd give this place a try. The sashimi was really fresh and good! The dynamite roll was good as well, I've enjoyed better though regardless it was good. (Thank you Uber Eats for offering buy one get one on this item). The edamame was good as well but hardly has any salt on it. I would love to trust the rest of the menu out and see what else I'd like from the seeing as they aren't far away from me. Next time I'd just do delivery.

Just ordered from ubereats , I'm surprised by the quality. The nigiris were formed really well. The rice is not smashed together, you can taste each grain of rice in your mouth. The sashimi was fresh and doesn't taste off. Looking at the reviews , I'm hoping that it will be a consistent experience. Willing to try their aburi next visit!

Finding decent vegetarian sushi options can be tricky if you want something other than avocado and cucumber. It's also tough to balance quality with value especially in Toronto. For me Juzz does all of the above and with great service. My go-to order to treat myself is their 6-piece tofu avocado and yam tempura sushi, with 2 pieces of tamago and seaweed salad, which after tax is just about $20! Everything tastes great and it's super easy to order by phone then pick up. When you call, you can specify whether or not you need cutlery, and each order is packaged beautifully with plenty of wasabi and ginger, plus soy sauce though for me that's a kitchen staple anyways. Also, if you do choose to order for pick up, Juzz offers 10% off if you feel safe to pay cash upon arrival. Overall I really love my usual order, I appreciate the price point and how seamless their takeout experience is. Just FYI if you order right as a they open, it may take Buzz longer to prep your food because they make everything fresh.

Came for lunch. It was super busy. Waited 30 mins for a spot. I really enjoyed it. I've walked pass this place plenty of times but never been here. Glad I tried it. You order off a iPad. I'm always skeptical about ordering off iPads. I have bad experiences with restaurants that use this method-and I always feel like the food is not the best quality. But I didn't know they did that here...anyways... I ordered, I ate, and I was pleasantly surprised. It was goood.

A Fair and Honest Review: I was surprised by the raving reviews on this place. This was probably one of the most inauthentic sushi restaurants I have been to. I ordered the 30 piece set, Juzz's Tray, and was surprised by how quickly the first set of signature rolls came out. Under a minute - literally a couple seconds after we ordered, which makes me wonder whether the food was pre-made and pre-torched as this combo seems to be the most popular. Secondly, the rest of the dishes were very heavily torched, to a point where the fish was fully cooked. The fish didn't taste fresh (probably frozen), and was masked heavily with sauce to mask the poor quality. I was disappointed to find that there was pesto on my shrimp sushi and mustard sauce on one of the tuna pieces that came with the combo. Overall, if you are looking for an authentic Japanese experience, this isn't it, but if you enjoy "fusion" food, then you may enjoy yourself here. I have to say - their presentation of the food was good, and nothing tasted bad, but you're looking for traditional Japanese flavours, this isn't your place.

Since the pandemic started, I think I've gone to this place at least a dozen times. I am OBSESSED with Juzz sushi and I'm glad this place is walking distance to me. Their torched sushi is easily the best torched sushi that I've had in Toronto. The torched salmon sushi just melts in the mouth and has a nice hot kick with a jalapeño on top. Their sushi is always so fresh and consistent. Pro-tip: if you order on Uber eats they have a BOGO deal on their dynamite roll. I will continue coming here and so obsessed with this place!

Combination E (salmon lover), house roll, seaweed salad, chirashi.
    Julia C.

Huge portions!!! Came here for the first time yesterday and the quality of their sashimi is great. I went for combination e which is the salmon lover set - 5 pcs salmon sashimi, spicy salmon roll and 3 pcs salmon sushi ($14.95) and also ordered the house roll - cream cheese, kani, avocado, shrimp topped with torced salmon ($6.95 for 4 pieces). The salmon was very fresh and pieces were pretty big. My friend who ordered the chirashi also had very fresh fish. The portions here are definitely quite big which surprised us in a good way. I had friends order the poke bowl as well which was huge (I'm definitely getting that next time lol). Only downside in my opinion is that there is a bit too much rice in the sushi. Personally I'm quite picky with my food though. People who love rice won't have a problem with that. My bill was about $27 with tips. However, I did order a lot of food. I'm in the area pretty often so I will definitely be back!

I was close by in the neighbourhood and I wanted to grab sushi. Didn't really expect much but I'm glad I came in. I got the scallop sushi, Juzz bomb and salmon oshizushi. They were all very tasty but the scallop sushi had to be the tastiest of them all.. it was soft, juicy and melted in my mouth. All in all, the portions and prices were fair and the service was quick and friendly. Would definitely come back again!

Ordered some basic takeout here, Dragon Rolls, Salmon avocado rolls and some gyoza. Rolls were wrapped tight, not too much rice and seemed fresh. Gyoza were crispy, sauce was too sour for my liking. But enjoyable experience overall. Pick up was kind of odd, seemed very unpersonal.

Unagi rolls and sushi combo from June 2019. Don't look appetizing unfortunately...."

The first time when I tried their sushi was not long after this place opened. I was amazed by the freshness and generous portion of the sushi. I even got a party tray in February. It was amazing!! I ordered sushi combo and unaghi rolls through Ritual for pick up recently and I was not impressed with it. Sushi combo which is 12 assorted sushi was actually 2 each of same fish which looked depressing and lazy. Unaghi rolls were ok. Is it because I didn't leave tips when Ritual asked me during the payment? I hope this was just a hiccup. I'd give another chance for this place in the future.

There were three add-ons (toro with caviar $25, uni with caviar $35, and caviar sushi). I opted in for the toro and uni add-ons. It was strange they give you the add-ons before any other nigiri. Everything was very good and fresh. Standouts for me was the appetizer, all three cuts of bluefin tuna, the lobster (by far my favorite), and the hotaru ika. I would've appreciated knowing that the omakase included or not included toro and uni before I decided on the add-ons but I don't regret it. It was a splurge night after all. Service was very attentive. Note that the dining space is very small. 12 seats around the counter and two tables. There was a very loud gentleman two seats from me who never learned to use his inside voice and totally ruined vibe. But that's not on the staff. Another note is that gratuity is automatic on the bill.
