I came to her desperate after having gotten a botched haircut to add layers to my straight, one length hair. Kelly is truly a hair magician. She didn't flinch at the hack job to my hair and was confident that she could fix it. My layers are now even ("dancing layers" as Kelly called them) and the best part is that I still have my length. Kelly did such an amazing job with that the cut styles itself beautifully and there is really no maintenance required - it truly is a wash and go cut which is not always easy when layers are added to straight hair. I am so grateful to have found Kelly and Revamp Salon. I will for sure be seeing her for my future haircuts.

I decided…read moreto call a couple places to see if they could fit me in for a cut and color on the same day, and to my luck, Nina at Grace Salon Spa had an opening. The salon is tucked in I'On, one of the cutest Charleston neighborhoods, and is next to several restaurants if you want to walk to grab a bite to eat or a drink before or after you get your hair done. The salon itself is bright and inviting, and I was greeted right as I entered the door. Nina led me to the chair and offered me a drink as soon as I sat down. Full disclosure, I don't make much of a fuss over my hair, but during my color consultation I could tell by the questions she asked that Nina knew what she was doing and that I was in good hands. After some conversation, I learned that she has extensive experience in the industry. We started with my color, and Nina made sure to apply a lotion to my hairline to make sure the dye didn't stain my skin. Nina is very detailed and a perfectionist (which I LOVE in a stylist), and she didn't let me leave without her fixing the mistakes of a previous haircut gone bad. My color looks awesome, the cut is perfect, and she put some waves in my hair to give it some style before I left. I'm so happy I found this place! If you're looking for a salon in MP, go see Nina at Grace Salon Spa!

After moving back to the great Charleston area, specifically Summerville I googled salons. I'm happy to report I found that needle in the haystack! Located in a safe and easily accessible part of town, Attitudes Salon is the best choice for men's haircuts (sorry ladies, I can only address the men reading this). The reservations are easily made on the simple to navigate website and they'll even text you reminders. Walking up, I'm not sure what I was expecting for "Attitude," was it a biker, princess, or a pinky up attitude? The answer is the attitude what you'll leave with once your hair is finished, that of confidence and satisfaction. The inside is that of any other salon; shampoos, conditioners for sale and use here, obviously seats and stations to do their work and a cashier counter to name a few. The ladies here are very friendly, even at the early hours in the morning while all being able to smile with a energetic "Attitude." For my experience I had a wonderful stylist named Jami. Fair warning I had no clue who she was but as soon as I saw her, I remembered her from high school and while she's changed and no longer 21 (but 22....) she hasn't changed. What impresses me the most about stylist is they're also wonderful conversationalist, a good skill to have while passing the time. Jamie cut my hair with love, speed and accuracy while being able to hold a conversation, offer advice and most importantly take and give good jabs as in jokes. Honestly, she made my time fly by as I didn't have a care in the world but most importantly, when she was done my hair looked exactly like the photo I showed her. In wrapping up, Attitudes is a wonderful salon that takes pride in making their customers feel as if they're the focal point and striving to meet your expectations. The key is they go out of the way to make customers feel special by listening to your story, offering grounded insight and laughing at your jokes while styling your hair that is better than anyone else can offer for an affordable amount of money. I'm glad to have reconnected with Jami and took a chance with Attitudes b/c they now have a loyal customer. Overall, this is the best experience I've had in recent memory and I know they'll treat everyone just like their family too. Do you want an Attitude? If yes, then stop on by.
