Kevin is a phenom for hair extensions at a very, very fair price. Trust me, he will be your best option in all of Charleston. He apparently is educated and experienced in many different methods and can be trusted to deliver what you need for your hair type, and the best price Charleston has to offer. I recently got my hair done for the first time in 9 months. I also have never colored my hair in anyway. Tina was my stylist. First off I must say I was nervous and being a baby about getting my hair colored, I wasn't sure if I'd love it or hate it or if it would even look good. I went from a dirty blonde to a copper red. Tina was extremely encouraging with the color change and willing to work with someone who wasn't sure of themselves. I am extremely appreciative. The second thing to note is I have a large amount of hair, almost to my butt (I'm 5ft 10). So to color, cut, wash, and style in 1.5hrs was very impressive. In the end it look amazing. I'm so happy with the color and cut. The staff including Tina was so friendly, encouraging, and helpful as well. As the for the price it was completely reasonable for what I had done and amount of hair I have. I most definitely will return for my touch ups! I have very thin, fine hair and was always curious about hair extensions. I did some research on the internet and saw that Kevin Sanders at Salon International seemed to know what he was doing. Sure enough, my hair has never looked better. We do the tape-in method on my hair but he knows every hair extension technique that's out there. He is also a master at color. I have been having my hair highlighted for over 25 years and I have to say he's the best. He really listens to what you have in mind or can make knowledgeable recommendations if you're looking for a change. Not only is he a phenomenal stylist, but he is also a sweetheart and a lot of fun to chat with during my appointments. I purposely picked this place because of the stellar reviews, to do my hair for a destination wedding I'm attending in late May. I called well over a month in advance, since I'm out of town and didn't want to do anything on the fly. I received a call back asking if I could have my hair done during the week. I explained I was having it done for the wedding on that specific day I scheduled. All I was told was that there was an emergency and it had to be cancelled. I'm not sure what kind of an emergency occurs over a month in advance, but I was shocked that I was being cancelled on. Not sure how many people they have working on a Saturday, but it seems ridiculous that literally nobody could help me out for a service that takes less than an hour. So while I have not had my hair done there, I am really disappointed with the level of professionalism and the "emergency" excuse I received in response to why I was cancelled on. read more
