She was gone for a while and I experimented with a number of disappointing chain places that gave me embarrassing haircuts. I came back to Wise Guys to try another stylist (who also did a great job) and was pleasantly surprised to find Jennifer had returned. I've been getting my hair cut by her again since and could not be happier. While I can't recommend Jennifer enough all the stylists are friendly and knowledgeable, the environment does not have a trashy or sleazy vibe like many haircuts for men places, and the staff are friendly and handle appointments well and even have a texting confirmation system. The only word of caution I have is that it's very easy to miss the turn into their parking lot off 14 mile so approach slowly and watch for it. It's the best haircut place I've been to in Metro Detroit and very reasonably priced.

I'm very picky about my hair and am learning what I like as I wanted to go shorter. At my first cut short with Dream, it was storming and the power went out at the salon and we didn't get to do the finishing touches, so she gave me a free product had me come back a couple days later for a complimentary cut where I decided I wanted to go even shorter and get bangs. I still was not satisfied with the cut (let me clarify that Dream is an amazing stylist and did exactly what I asked her to do, but I wanted to pick an owner's brain about what would look good on me), so I requested an apt with an owner. Tony got me in the next day and we took it even shorter and he cut it with a razor. He made it look exactly like the picture I showed him but I still was not satisfied with it on me so I requested to come back again for a pixie and he got me in a few days later. I LOVE how the pixie looks on me. It just took me four separate haircuts to get there. I only paid once for the initial cut. And after the last cut Tony still said to give him a ring if anything else needs to be done. This is pristine customer service. Everyone I interacted with was so patient, accommodating and supportive as I learned how I wanted my hair to look. Additionally, both salons (Clawson and Birmingham) are super clean and just cool spaces to hangout when getting a haircut. Highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend.

He had apologized for my previous experience, and wanted to make things right. This was the first time that I had been contacted from a Yelp review, so I was at least to give them a shot. He had offered for me to come in and have a free massage to make up for the last one. That, and he was going to have his best masseuse available to take care of me. I said that I was very pleased that a manager would contact me after such a review. I came in, and was greeted by him, and was introduced to my masseuse... and the massage started. It was a good massage. It was definitely better than my previous one. She had apologized because she had heard about the experience I endured there, and said that she'd do anything to make this one the best possible. Needless to say, the massage was very good. When I came out of the massage room... I was greeted once again by the manager, and then the store owner... who presented me with a gift card to get a free hair cut. And I'll be damned if I can find that card. I thought I had put it in my wallet, but I cannot find that card. lol. Thanks to Wise Guys for trying to make things right. I think companies that actually pay attention to what people say is top notch.
