Amazing cut, very great prices. Excellent service over all. Will definitely be coming back.

My father and brothers have been going here for years. We lost my father unexpectedly over a year ago, and the entire barbershop has shown love and support to my brother with special needs! We will forever go to this barbershop for their genuineness to their clients!! Mike the owner is an amazing human being and Trevor is so kind with my brother!! Truly so appreciated!! read more

Great haircut, great conversation, great atmosphere. A little "hole in the wall" type of place to get your haircut across from the Polish center. I passed it twice the first time I went here unfortunately because it surprised me coming down the road and then I picked the wrong driveway to turn into. Oops! Parking lot needs some work here though, so don't go speeding through the parking lot because there's some big holes. Inside, this place reminds me of mechanic garage. There's diamond steel everywhere! When I checked in, I knew I was going to have a good experience. I put my name in, chose the haircut experience I wanted (which included a hot towel and neck shave). When I got called to sit down and get my haircut, walking through the hair cutting area was pretty cool. Like I said, there was a lot of diamond steel in the building. One thing in particular that I thought was cool was their station that had their scissors, clippers, and other items. The items were stored in a workbench/tool cart. It seemed like there were air tubes hanging from the ceiling too that replaced hair dryers. I didn't see any of them in use but they were hanging from the ceiling in most seats. All in all, it was a great overall experience and I got a good quality haircut with some great conversation. It felt like they actually cared about my haircut because I wasn't in and out in less than 10 minutes. read more

Was a favorite- wouldn't go anywhere else but the quality of the cuts hasn't been great. Called today to see if I could get a scissor cut and you would think I cut a fart through the phone. Check in online and we will see ... Nope - going back to the hairmills for this kind of treatment. Get Elle back... read more

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE! I go in and get a men's haircut and they do it right every time. I started going here when I had my sides shaved and need a clean up at least once a month. I can't say enough good things about this place. They're all amazing read more

Amazing family owner barber shop! I've only been several times when i live in the area. I moved away and hadn't been back in over ten years, yet i walked in and they remembered me! Staff is friendly, professional and truly pay attention to detail. I'll go back for sure! I don't remember her name, but a woman with glasses cut my hair and she was great! read more

It's hard to find a decent barbershop that consistently delivers a good cut. Luckily I found JJ's shop and I haven't lookd back. Their staff is friendly and no matter who you get, male or female, you are going to appreciate the fresh cut. Their are also pretty knowldegeable and have experience with various styles. Over the years I've asked for several styles and they almost always get it right. There was only one time that I got a bad haircut but that woman no longer works there and my next cut was free so it's hard to argue with them. The pricing is $16 per cut unless you ask for a specific barber usually....since covid you get who you get.... There are additional fees if you get a shave or extra products so very resonable overall. Plus they have a few locations across metro detroit in case you find yourself in a jam. read more

I've been getting my haircut here for 25 years. Always go back good reasonable price haircut for most men.

Good service. Proffesional. Would recommemd a friend. Very attentive. Was my first time and will come back

First time at JJ's and i must say i am impressed. High quality cut and they followed my request to the T. I had a breakup with my former barber of 7 years (i am 25 so thats a long time) and was very skeptical of going to a new barber. I tried a few places and always ended up doing touch ups on my own to make it better. Finding JJ's was great for me. Although i have only gotten 1 cut there, i plan on going back and i am hoping for a similar result. Will update post upon next cut. I had Caleb. Cool guy and made good small talk. On top of it all, it is a family business which is nice for a change since almost everything in every industry is corporate. Keep it up, and with your long track record, im sure you guys will. Thanks! read more

my first two visits were good but the 3rd time I had a guy who did not know what he was doing, I asked for a 1/2in off MULTIPLE TIMES and he is talking about so I took 1 1/2in off completely disregarded what I said and Doesn't give me a fade like I asked and puts a huge line in the side of my head so I had to have someone come fix it and they still kept the lines in my sides and couldn't fix it and still charged me for a full cut and all of this right before the holidays thanks! read more

Jj's has been my go-to barber shop for a year now. The shop is small, yet comforting. The employees are kind, professional, and talented barbers. I recommend this shop. read more

Have been going there for 6 years has been sitting in the chair for 2 hours and 30 minutes waiting for a haircut. People just called in while I was sitting there and got ahead of me 2 hairdressers understaffed. Takes 30 mins to shave someone's hair that's really short. A firefighter came in with like 3 mms of hair long to have it dyed wtf you can't do it yourself? What's the point of dying it you are just making the line longer But seriously if someone has been sitting their for 2 hours and 30 mins to get a haircut and someone just called 10 mins ago and came in something is messed up. I usually tip them 30 percent tip or more read more

What makes a barber shop good ? Not the decor or the magazine or fancy tees for sale but just a good hair cut. JJ's offers a contemporary version of an old school barber shop: as you walk in your feel like you've walked into an industrial shop with its metal like ceiling and metal plate lining along the base wall. The waiting room has plenty of magazines to read and a few tees on sale. The cut: This is what it basically comes down to. Since JJ's has two 5 star reviews I decided to skip going to my barber (since he was closed) and give this place a shot. I am used to having a good conversation with the person that cuts my hair whether it be about the economy or just about the current state of affairs and the girl who cut my hair just lacked that zazz. The conversation was forceful, dry and monotonous. The cut was just average and basic and definitely not worth the $15 (plus tip which I hate when they ask if you would like to add anything to your card instead of just giving me a receipt with the space for tip). Anyways, I like to conclude with "to each his own" so I say check this place out and decide for yourself. read more

Highly skilled, very attentive and friendly. Having just moved to MI, I've found my new barbershop.

I highly recommend JJ's Barber Shop for anyone who is looking for a new place to get their hair cut! The staff is very talented and walk-ins are welcome. Even with no appointment and a busy lobby, the wait has never been longer than 15-20 minutes for me. I have been going to JJ's for over 20 years and I have never had an issue with my hair being cut wrong. They keep track of how you have gotten your hair done in the past so new barbers can get an idea of what you want. And they always make sure to ask how you would like it even though I get the same thing every time. And a walk-in standard haircut is only $15! That is a great price for how fast and well the barbers cut your hair. If I could recommend any specific barbers, I would say Danielle and Mike are amazing! But they are all great! :) read more

Went today for the first time, I have to tell you, they know what they are doing! Very professional! Asked me exactly what I wanted and delivered! read more

called to ask if they could fit me in if I get there in 10 minutes, or if there was a wait because I was in a rush. Walk in 7 minutes later to find a waiting area full of people and a 25 minute wait time. Don't lie to customers... Oh, and cut was pretty average too. read more

Great hair cuts! The staff definitely knows what they are doing and really gives you a great cut. Walk in price $16 To request someone special $17 For an appointment $19 read more

Been going to JJ's since I was a teen & JJ himself was there giving and running the barber shop. Well here we are almost 30 years later & Mike is doing the family proud keeping the barber shop's local reputation as the "BEST PLACE TO GET A SHARP CUT & TOP KNOTCH FADE" Every barber/stylist in the joint consistently proves that you've come to the best with every cut given. I don't give praise unless it's earned. I don't give bad reviews unless it's due either. This 5-Star review comes from one critical person. It takes a lot to get that from me is the bottomline. And JJ's has been my go-to for a true sharp cut n a genuine quality fade for almost 30 frick'n years people! Booking ahead will save you time if it's busy in the shop. But if you just walk-in you'll be welcomed and taken well care of. What's awesome is you don't have to fear getting an unskilled barber, this crew is legit:) Remember... "HONESTY IS BETTER THAN SUGAR-COATED BS" read more

I've been coming here since I was a kid. Mike who now runs the place was sweeping floors and learning how to do what he now does best. The place is always clean and welcoming. Can't beat a $15 haircut that's professionally done the way you want it. I wish they'd bring the bobble head collection back though . read more

Never been to a barbershop where the barber that cut my hair gets checked or approved for the haircut they cut by another Barber that's been there longer....., for real, where do they do that @ smh read more

Went here for a haircut, first time since October. The way my hair was cut, this had to be there worst haircut I've ever gotten. I would've been better off cutting it myself. I told the woman exactly how to cut it too, and she still didn't do it right. Very disappointed, I only went because someone recommended last time I listen to them and return here. Will not be recommending to anyone. read more

I'm really picky when it comes to barbers. If you don't cut my hair right the first time, I probably won't come back for another cut. One of my buddies told me to check out Jj's. He told me to make an appointment with Joel. He is a really nice guy and knew exactly how I wanted my haircut. The only problem is that he is only available on Wednesdays because he runs the other location in Novi. One of my other buddies told me to make an appointment with Mike. Really cool guy and Great barber. I never had any of the other barbers cut my hair but I'm pretty sure they are just as good. I would refer anyone to give them a try. read more

JJ's is the only place I get my haircut now. I used to go anywhere. Tried a couple places. Just wherever. That's all changed. I set an appointment at JJ's and only JJ's. It's not pretentious like many places you can find a good cut. Actually it's the opposite. This still feels like a real barbershop. I go to Joel for my cut and he's awesome, but they do this cool thing where they keep records of what type of cut you get and they'll give you a discount if you schedule your next appointment with whomever is available. Cool incentive. Give them a try. You'll have a new go-to place. read more

I've been going to JJ's for about 5 years now. I'm very particular when it comes to a haircut. I live out of state now but make it a point to visit JJ's everytime I come back to Michigan. Mike is the man, great conversationalist, best fade around, all around a very cool guy. I usually pay the extra 3 bucks to set up an appointment and request him. I have not had a haircut from anybody else there, but have friends who have in which they were very pleased. This place is great, it does get busy so make sure you make an appointment. read more

I brought my 2 1/2 year-old son here for his first haircut. The woman was fast and friendly and gave a great haircut. I give it four stars instead of five because I feel like she cut a little too much off. But my husband did like it. They are feat with kids, we will be back. read more

Went there for the first time today. This place has super-friendly staff. They got me into the chair within 3 minutes of my arrival (no appointment made). The cut I got was quick and very well done, and it was almost half the cost of a cut at my previous hairdresser. read more

There for a haircut seen Danielle did a great job hopefully she can do just as good the next time I go for a fade...
