Danny the barber is a very nice guy but he did NOT give a good haircut to me on Sunday morning when I went in. I asked for a 0 to a 1 on the side and cut a quarter off the top. He did not fade in the hair even though I had made it clear (multiple times) to fade it in. He proceed to cut almost 80% off my hair on the top. I was unsure if he knew how to fade hair. Since Danny turns the chair opposite of the mirror, its hard to see the progress of your haircut. When I went home to look at my hair, it was even worse than I expected. He did not fade the sides and it looked more like a skin fade to a 2. The top looked messy and everything looked unfinished. Best way to explain it was that my hair looked like an unfinished bowl cut which was not it. There was uncut hair everywhere. Unfortunately, I had to go to Great Clips right after Danny and the Great Clips stylist gave the look of "what happened?" The Great Clips stylist had to finish the job that Danny could not. If you are looking for a buzz cut or bald look, then this is the place. But if you are looking for something that has fade, then I would not recommend this place. I would not be coming back here again. It's so bad, that I would want a refund.

Walking into the place, was greeted by every barber working at the time. Had a seat in an ultra plush waiting room chair, and got to watch some sport center while I waited for John to finish with his customer before me. Had to wait a whole 6 minutes and John introduced himself and had me sit down in the chair. Now the attention to detail that John showed me must be a habit for everyone that works there because both the barbers to the left and right of me were working just as diligently as John was on me. The whole time, talking to every customer that was waiting or sitting in the chair getting trimmed up. By the time I was done, it felt like I had a new group of guys and gals to sit and bullshit with, all the while getting an awesome, much needed grooming. However, the primary reason my experience is always excellent at Union is Tee -- he consistently provides an awesome haircut, great conversation, and makes the process seamless. I've been getting my hair cut by Tee for about 5 years now, and I can confidently say that I'll always trust Tee to give me an excellent cut. I've since moved further away, and my drive to the shop is an hour, but it's worth it to know I'm always going to get the same consistent experience, professionalism, and be able to catch up with Tee. After all this time, Tee knows my preferred style without asking any questions, and also knows how to adapt to however my hair decides to behave on the day of (even when I end up missing a couple weeks and going longer between cuts.
