They have airplane and car shaped chairs and TVs for the kids to watch cartoons. As usual, my son had a fit during his haircut but Lori was patient and worked quickly. She did a great job considering how hysterical my son got lol I would definitely return, it takes the hassle out of going to Lakeside Mall for the other local kids salon. It was $15 for a cut and she also gave him a balloon and candy :)

Warm colors and deco makes Tangles feel cozy, yet elegant. And these ladies rock a wash & blow-out. The scalp massage is delish and the blow-out lasts & lasts. I had mine done in the middle of humid, MI summer, went to Punch Bowl Social, walked through the alley in the rain (with an umbrella), played shuffleboard, and the blow out stood, and even made it another day. Lots of magazines to choose from and fresh hot coffee from while you process. You'd think with service and results like this you'd pay premium upscale prices, but Tangles is affordable. So go ahead and get those roots done, or a treat yourself to a long-lasting blowout. You'll look great coming out of Tangles!

He is almost 6 years old and does not like getting his haircut around his ears at all... ( he hates the loud buzzing right in his ears ) but his haircut turned out AMAZING!! We went to a different barber shop for his last haircut that came highly recommended but we were not impressed... my son LOVES his fresh cut so much that he looks in a mirror any chance he gets! Lol there were some other clients that had come in while I was waiting for them to finish with my son and every client left looking amazing! They were all very friendly and it's very clear they take pride in their work. We will definitely be coming here from now on for all of my son's haircuts

We had a terrible experience at the salon with my 3 year old. My three year old ended up donating over 11 inches. We were told she could donated 7-8 inches if she didn't want to have her hair cut super short, but 10 is ideal. The stylist said 10 inches would bring it 1/2 inch above her shoulders. I said that is fine, but no shorter that's the shortest I want to go. She literally HACKED her hair off. It is now to her chin, completely uneven and it looks like my 5 year old cut it! I am heartbroken that this exciting experience turned out so sad. We drove from Plymouth to donate. I would NEVER recommend this salon! Pictures don't lie. I wish I could upload a photo you would be horrified. My friend who is a stylist said "this is a job of a lazy stylist!" and "if she can't work with kids she shouldn't have taken on a 3 year old!"

A friend of my recommended this place when I told him I was looking for a place to commit to. I was getting tired of all the cheap haircuts and always having a different person, so I gave it a shot. I definitely do not regret me decision. Unfortunately they're closed on Sundays and it's my day off but it's so worth it that I wait. I've never left questioning if I really liked it, I always love it. Not to mention the waiting area is collection if interesting news clippings and some of the comfiest couches ever.
