Your political views are an American right and so is my choice to never visit your establishment again. I don't care what they are until you are in my face with them. This is an honest, hard working diner, reminiscent of the diners of the midwest. I ate breakfast on a Sunday morning at the bar. There's a line by 9:00am that steadily grows after that, so time yourself. This is a diner, which means they serve good, solid, stick-to-your-ribs meals that provide enough fuel to go out and chop down a forest. Nothing fancy, but well done, through years of practice. The service is friendly and quick. None of that "it's not my job" attitude here, they work as a team and get it done. I know, I was sitting at the bar and watched them in action. My coffee cup was never empty, at least three people asked how I was doing. I felt like part of their family with "honey", "sweetheart", etc interspersed throughout my interactions with the wait staff. Tables are bussed as soon as you stand up - kudos to those gentlemen too. And please give hem a break, the servers move non stop. If your jelly bowl doesn't have strawberry, try grape for once - these people are busy humping great trays of steaming hot food to someone. They'll be back to see you as soon as they're able. And don't forget a good tip, after all, you're already getting great value for your dollar. They work twice as hard as some of the fru fru places I've eaten and I'm as guilty of leaving tips based upon the percentage of the bill as the next guy, and that's after putting up with attitude, but these people work hard, always have a smile and deserve more than the standard amount. read more

Just good basic no frills country cooking! The food comes out fast(even when they're packed which is most of the time), well seasoned not bland like most mom and pop country breakfast establishments. Great value for your money as the portions are thought out well and fill the plate that it comes on. As is with any great southern country breakfast place that's worth their salt all of the staff are kind, considerate and very hardworking! The atmosphere is laid back and not crazy although the dining room is always packed and people are coming/going for to go orders. Food and service is excellent for the price point. Even when they're slammed they keep up the pace without long waits. Would only wish either or both they wiped the menus on occasion or patrons would be more careful to not somehow spill food and beverages on them in the first place. I've never encountered one in a bad mood or one not being friendly. It's truly unbelievable. No wonder they're always packed. They do it right. It was my teenage children talking about this restaurant that got me to give it a try. It's located near their school and they go frequently for breakfast and lunch. Portions are large, food is hot and prices are inexpensive. Over the last couple of months I tried waffles, pancakes, gravy biscuits, corned beef hash, fried flounder, along with grits and eggs. I've been wanting to try this diner for a while now and I finally got a chance this morning! I went around 10am and we waited for only a few minutes before we were seated. The restaurant appeared to have a ton of regulars who joked around with the staff. This made the feel of the place super laid back and friendly. Our waitress was nice and quick to greet us. I decided to order the short stack of pancakes with a side of hash browns. When it came out the portion size was large and the food was hot. Most importantly it all tasted great! The food is good enough, but they ended up telling a large portion of people to "f@@@ your feelings". Came for lunch with a few coworkers and it's a quaint little cafe/diner. There were quite a few people there by the time we got there so it was a decent wait to get a table. Once we did, the waitress was very nice as she patiently waiting for my party to be ready with ordering. I ordered off the lunch menu but a few of my coworkers ordered off the breakfast menu. Overall the prices were low and the portions were decently large. It did seem like the things off the breakfast menu were better than off the lunch menu. I had the fried chicken which had small meat portions and lacked the taste of southern cooking I expected but made up for in the sides. The breakfast group had more food for less, and the pancakes were huge! Overall it was good food, but I do suggest going after the breakfast menu than the lunch side. read more
