I had an awesome experience taping with Tory! I taped for a major Hulu show, and she told me that someone who had previously taped with her for the same show ended up booking it from that tape. She is super chill and easy to connect with as a reader. She is also very focused on getting done what needs to get done, and she already has everything set up and ready to roll as soon as you get in the room (something that not all taping places are as good about!) In ~45 minutes I was able to tape three scenes totaling about 8 pages, and did three or so takes of each scene. She gave her honest opinion of which takes she thought were best, which helps so much because it is hard to be objective when you are the one auditioning. I should've gotten the hint from the boxes of empty beer bottles that cluttered the area of the steps leading to the entrance upstairs. Once inside it was absolutely consistent, a cluttered dirty mess. Wow. It's hard to believe she considers this a place of business. I was hard pressed to even find a spot to put my bag down. Hopefully she will read this because she needs to know. Clean the place up! Have some respect for yourself and your business. And turn on the air conditioning! It was so hot inside that my glasses fogged up! I'm not joking! I have no complaints with the tape itself. Just Tape It Studio is my go-to place whenever I have a self-tape! Tory is fantastic to work with. She makes sure you look great on camera and that you give the best possible performance. She has a keen eye and gives fantastic direction. If a part of a scene feels vague or unclear, her constructive notes help bring focus. Tory will also replay your performances for you in the room if you need, to help you decide which take is best and make sure that you are fully satisfied. Turnaround for your tape is within 24 hours, but she often beats that deadline by many hours. She's also very understanding about rush auditions with tight turnaround times. My agents and manager have commented on the high quality of my self-tapes. I know there's nowhere else I'd rather go than Just Tape It, where I know I'm in great hands. P.S. 1) I do not LIKE to tape auditions, & was doubtful---not about my work, but about how I'd Look (!!) God! Thot I'd be OVER that by now. 2) Also, I was particularly hesitant to trust someone considerably younger to KNOW HOW to MAKE ME LOOK MY "BEST." 3) I am not only Surprised how good she helped me look! (Better by far than have on tape for years!); but she actually gave ME good advice (when I tested her by asking!) I was very Surprised but delighted with her high-quality professional set-up (great lighting). Really liked her upbeat professional nature, Knowledge (!), & creative flexibility. She produced a top level, prof. product I could not find fault with (& I LOOKED...have a Perfectionist streak.) 4) This final mix, her extensive skill set, (she is obviously an intuitive actress, & reads with just the right amount of "presence" to make the scene balance, & the Taping itself easier). Oh! Also, I actually had fun! (Who knew?!) In all: I was happier by a lot than i have been in my other taping experiences!
