I found LA Reels by way of a referral from my talent management team. Since this was my first time…read moreseeking out custom demo reel services, (and my reel essentially is my calling card of my work) despite the referral, I did do my research by looking into other companies. I was happy to discover that LA Reels was the best option in the LA area for many reasons. The customer service is top notch. The day I called, Brett immediately answered the phone. He answered all my questions, and promptly followed up with an email with their rates and information on how to move forward. Brett is polite, professional, detail oriented, not to mention a great film maker. Also, their rates are reasonable, and their payment options are easy. The scheduling was effortless. I hired Brett and his team to custom write two scenes for me. I was able to get an appointment for a brainstorming session the next day. Brett was able to conceptualize what it was I was seeking in both a comedic and dramatic scene. His writer Amanda, took the breakdown from our session and wrote two very appropriate scenes that would showcase not only my type, but my range and abilities as an actor. Film day was fun and ran efficiently. Brett's crew was hard-working, friendly. They made the entire experience on set feel high budget, while also maintaining a relaxed and supportive environment for everyone involved. The best part is, I was able to get my clips very soon after our shoot. The results of this entire process was two exceptionally produced custom demo reels to strengthen my body of work! At the end of the day, when I sought custom demo reel services I wanted a company that would be able to produce scenes that would reflect my work in the best possible way. Not only did LA Reels exceed this expectation, but I had a wonderful experience working with these people. Hands-down, the best custom demo reel film company out there!

GREAT PEOPLE AND WORK that help and showcase you. The scenes of which were just normal scenes that were written for me by them were like a short story you would see in a fully produced independent feature film at any major film festival and then my very first SHORT FILM called "Love and Promotions"...Noah Edwards as a director has the vision he wants to execute when he is planning the shoot with his creative team and helps guide the actor in a short amount of time. Brett Newton and Clint Riffo and Tada Yoshida round out the team along with Amanda Glassman and they get the job done as the core group at LA REELS. Great look for a great price and These folks are in my opinion bringing their A-game to each new task. I look forward to them someday making there feature film and seeing what pops off the screen. They have the talent and the knowledge to make you feel great about your product. GO LA REELS.

So what you're going to read here is based upon two decades of encountering gifted professionals in our field, and the many, many, who... well... aren't going to help you. The professionals at CreateYourReel are as highly skilled at direction and production as the production teams we're auditioning for themselves, and in some cases, are simply better. I have been blessed beyond words to be directed by James Cameron, Bill Butler, Kevin Dowling, and the best piece of dramatic footage in my career is a taped audition directed by Steve Hosford at CreateYourReel. He's one of the best directors I've ever met in my life. He's a gift. He sees things in the material sometimes that you don't; you NEED THAT in this work. We can't do this work alone; we're not meant to. This takes collaboration to do well, but the problem is finding people to partner with who are a help, not a well-intentioned hindrance. Not only is Steve capable of helping me play up to my best for auditions and updating reel footage, each session makes me better at what I do. This work is hard. In 2019 everyone wants to do it, so you had better be incredible at what you do. You are not going to find better for creating or augmenting a reel and taped auditions, or highly efficient film production than here.

If you're an actor in need of a theatrical demo reel you need to STOP dead in your tracks and thank…read moreyour lucky stars that you found RFW. I've been in the business for over 15 years and enjoyed most of my career successes as a voice actor. A few years ago I decided to make the transition into film and television. If you're on a similar path, you know that having a GREAT demo reel isn't just important - a GREAT reel is a necessary element in your overall marketing efforts. If you've never had the opportunity to be a part of a professional film or television production you can't simply splice nonexistant work product together to showcase your talents and abilities. That said, if you don't have actual footage of film or TV work you can't make a demo - which means you will most likely not be provided with the same opportunities that seasoned, actors get on a daily basis from agents and casting professionals. In my humble opinion, you are left with two choices: 1.) PRAY that a casting director likes your headshot, calls you in to read, sees your potential in the audition, takes a chance and hires you. Then, after you're hired, cross your fingers that footage from that ONE gig can be leveraged into a legitimate piece of marketing to generate more audition opportunities (assuming your scene(s) aren't lost on the cutting room floor). 2.) Make your demo reel by enlisting friends or fellow actors to shoot fabricated scenes that you HOPE end up being an excellent marketing showpiece (which they probably won't). Frankly, both options suck (I've tried both). 1.) You can't bank on casting directors recognizing your abilities or talents without providing proof of such outside of an audition. The entertainment business is somewhat of a closed system. Most actors are banking on luck, and the law of averages is (regretfully) not in your favor. Casting Directors aren't always willing to take a chance on an unknown commodity, regardless of how great your performance in the audition might be. A casting professional NEEDS to see what you're capable of before they can gain the confidence to advocate on your behalf. 2.) Being resourceful is great/admirable, but if you're not a seasoned filmmaker, your bootstrapped demo reel might elicit the opposite reaction. In a world of cheap, proliferated technology, aspiring actors and filmmakers forget that end-results are not directly connected to the great gear. DSLR's and moderately priced cinema cameras might be capable of capturing beautiful images, but you need vision, experience, and finesse to utilize those tools properly. That said, even if you manage to capture beautiful footage - other elements of the production will (most likely) suffer if you're not experienced in filmmaking. Writing, sound, lighting, editing...These skill sets are not easily mastered. So, what is the hell are you supposed to do? Hire Relentless Film Works! Steve, Troy, Amber, Arnella, Peggy, Steven (and everyone else I may have left out) are working PROS. They create THE BEST demo reels in the business. Their original writing, directing and set dressing is amazing. They take care of everything except your actor homework and wardrobe. My experience with RFW was STELLAR. DON'T HESITATE FOR A MOMENT. They know how to get shit done! In fact, they were more productive and streamlined than some professional studio productions in which I have taken part. Their stable of talent both behind (as well as in front of) the camera is impressive. You will NOT be disappointed. Be Fearless! Be Relentless!
