I found LA Reels by way of a referral from my talent management team. Since this was my first time seeking out custom demo reel services, (and my reel essentially is my calling card of my work) despite the referral, I did do my research by looking into other companies. I was happy to discover that LA Reels was the best option in the LA area for many reasons. The customer service is top notch. The day I called, Brett immediately answered the phone. He answered all my questions, and promptly followed up with an email with their rates and information on how to move forward. Brett is polite, professional, detail oriented, not to mention a great film maker. Also, their rates are reasonable, and their payment options are easy. The scheduling was effortless. I hired Brett and his team to custom write two scenes for me. I was able to get an appointment for a brainstorming session the next day. Brett was able to conceptualize what it was I was seeking in both a comedic and dramatic scene. His writer Amanda, took the breakdown from our session and wrote two very appropriate scenes that would showcase not only my type, but my range and abilities as an actor. Film day was fun and ran efficiently. Brett's crew was hard-working, friendly. They made the entire experience on set feel high budget, while also maintaining a relaxed and supportive environment for everyone involved. The best part is, I was able to get my clips very soon after our shoot. The results of this entire process was two exceptionally produced custom demo reels to strengthen my body of work! At the end of the day, when I sought custom demo reel services I wanted a company that would be able to produce scenes that would reflect my work in the best possible way. Not only did LA Reels exceed this expectation, but I had a wonderful experience working with these people. Hands-down, the best custom demo reel film company out there! read more

Well Ladies and Gentleman I have worked with LA REELS as a returning client for about 3 reel scenes and a Short film...I will say this about the company. GREAT PEOPLE AND WORK that help and showcase you. The scenes of which were just normal scenes that were written for me by them were like a short story you would see in a fully produced independent feature film at any major film festival and then my very first SHORT FILM called "Love and Promotions"...Noah Edwards as a director has the vision he wants to execute when he is planning the shoot with his creative team and helps guide the actor in a short amount of time. Brett Newton and Clint Riffo and Tada Yoshida round out the team along with Amanda Glassman and they get the job done as the core group at LA REELS. Great look for a great price and These folks are in my opinion bringing their A-game to each new task. I look forward to them someday making there feature film and seeing what pops off the screen. They have the talent and the knowledge to make you feel great about your product. GO LA REELS. read more

I found LA Reels through a Google search and I have to say I couldn't be happier with their work. I made an appt. with Noah who met with me on a Holiday and they took all my footage I had. Then Bret took over the editing process and he was great. He was very attentive to detail and re-edited my footage to focus more on my characters and made the scenes tighter. He gave me suggestions for what I should include in my reel and what I should leave out while still working within the structure I wanted. We started out with a large rough cut and cut "the fat" from there leaving only the scenes that highlighted my best work. Bret even championed for things he felt will compliment me that maybe I didn't initially see. They were friendly, easy going and professional and the prices are extremely fair. I will definitely use their services again and recommend anyone to use their services as well. read more

As a newbie in LA, Noah, Brett and the gang created an excellent reel for me and as important, they are genuine, impassioned artists who truly care about the art they create for their clients. For a very reasonable price, they do EVERYTHING, from conception to final cut reel. Their writer works with you to create three one minute films based on what you want to present and will go through drafts until it's to your liking. Then you film all three scenes, for me in one day, then within about seven days you have a reel with soundtrack as well as IMDB credits for the films. I love a pleasant working environment and they're good vibes as well. I enjoyed myself and recommend them highly. read more

Hands down THEE BEST reel company in LA, I have had great experiences with these guys and would recommend them to every serious actor who is looking to add new footage to their reel. The first time I worked with LA Reels it was for someone else's footage but I got a copy too and put it in my reel..it quickly became the most popular clip in my entire reel! I had no other choice but to come back to them & film another scene. During the whole process Noah was really great , updating me on things and making sure I was completely involved in the process. I will never forget what a great experience I had with them and will always be a huge LA Reels fan. read more

Need to get a demo reel done? Look no further than LA Reels. I decided to go with them because when checking out and comparing their samples to all the other companies that came up in a Google search, I liked the quality of theirs the best and the price was very reasonable and even better than most others. It was the most bang for the buck. I worked with Noah, Clint, and Tada, and they were wonderful on set... extremely professional, accommodating, and supportive. Noah gave helpful direction which turned out to be very useful. Noah worked with me in getting the footage done exactly the way I wanted it. He went out of his way to make sure I was happy with my final product. I would go to these guys again in a heart beat. read more

Amazing!..I love the team at LA REELS!..I worked with Brent, Tada, Amanda, and two interns (I'm so sorry I can't remember their names ), but the female intern even helped we run lines prior:)..seriously everyone was very professional and down to earth. To be honest the crew was so relaxed and chill that I was worried a bit, but no one missed a beat from the writing process, sounding, filming, directing, light, location, and makeup (Jayme). I worked with Brent throughout and I appreciate that we were able to collaborate and he valued my oppinion as I valued his. I had a 3 Scene (1 standard and 2 upgraded ). The actors that were supplied for my scenes were talented and fun to work with as well. Tada did great with sounding and asking me as well about any suggestions for final back ground music in the reel. Amanda did great with my notes for writing in my scenes and was quick with any final notes..so my point in this long review..is YES..is am very happy with how they dealt with my project and after filming..I seriously received the first drafts 3 days after filming and brainstormed via phone about any final notes and got the final drafts within 4 hrs of the phone conversation ..agent loves it too..thanks LA REELS ! read more

These people are genius. If I could give them 6 starts I would. Noah has worked closely with a famous director for years and he has an eye for what works on camera. They absolutely went above and beyond what I ever expected from a reel company and for a reasonable price. First of all, every reel scene I've seen looks like a reel scene (cheesy dirty OTS shot with no reactions of other person) or is very limited to backdrops they can shoot inside their warehouse. Not LA reels! They will go on location (outside, public places, cars, creepy basements, action shoots, etc.) and highlight BOTH actors so you can split the cost with your scene partner. Each person get their version of the scene like it was shot for them. We all know the acting can be great but if the sound, lighting, and post production quality is lacking the footage isn't usable-hence why I'm here in the first place. (God bless student films) Their post production quality was top notch. Noah is a great editor so he knew which parts to keep and he even cut together my old scenes with my new ones for no extra charge. I'm a relatively to highly picky person depending on the day and they never glossed over the little things which are really important to me. I had so much fun, I want to do it again! I've told all my actor friends about this and some have already scheduled their own reel scenes. I'd recommend LA Reels to anyone who needs high quality specific footage they aren't getting from shooting or just wants to start their reel off the right way! read more

I found these guys on Google as well. I shot 2 scenes with these guys. I did a consultation with LA Reels and Brad was nice. On the shoot date, it was alright and I felt a bit uncomfortable at times because I felt a little rushed. Also, felt they were after my money instead of giving me an awesome product. The product on the website were much better. The editing was very choppy too! For the price, it was an ok experience. Just being 100% honest here. Hope this helps any future customers. 2 stars from me. read more

LA Reels is super expensive for the product you are given. NOT WORTH IT!!! BEWARE!! Thought at the time, it would be worth it. The editing was choppy, unprofessional, and I felt uncomfortable at times. Next time I'll choose my business elsewhere. read more
