The tape came out looking great, and Jeremy was able to help me make things clean and clear with my scene.

The Acting Center - June/July 2025 Class Schedule

    The Acting Center

If you're serious about acting and want results, not just theory, The Acting Center is the place…read more I came in with zero acting experience. No background. No reps. No credits. Since training here, I just booked a lead role in a pilot. That's not hype. That's the result. What makes this place different is simple. It's a system. You are not guessing. You are not waiting for approval. You are not dependent on a teacher to tell you if you're "good." You learn a repeatable process that you can execute on demand. Every class: You work You apply You build skill, not just confidence There's structure behind everything: How to break down a script How to make strong, specific choices How to stay present without losing control How to deliver consistently in auditions and on set It's practical. It translates directly to booking work. The instructors at The Acting Center are working professionals who understand what casting actually responds to. They don't just teach acting, they teach how to function at a high level in real situations. What stood out to me most: You develop independence as an actor You stop overthinking and start executing You build a clear process you can trust under pressure Before this, acting felt abstract. Now it feels like a craft I can control. If you're new, this gives you a real foundation fast. If you've trained before, this fills the gaps most studios miss. Bottom line: If your goal is to actually book, grow, and perform at a high level, this is the most efficient path I've seen. I went from zero experience to booking a lead role. That speaks for itself.

I've been training at TAC for over a year now, and I can't recommend it highly enough. The instructors are excellent, and the vibe of the place is flawless. I feel emotionally and physically safe here, and have become a better performer under their tutelage. It's a wonderful community in a nice space, which also offers practical career coaching. You will get to perform in some capacity every class, without draining critiques. All the drama stays on the stage where it belongs.

    Soho Dance - Hustle competition

My husband and I reached out to Soho Dance to get dance lessons for our first dance at our wedding…read more We got assigned Lucia, and it truly was the best thing that could have happened to us. I think we had a total of 6-7 classes, but after the second class, we had the entire routine down - it was all just about perfecting it. Lucia came up with the entire dance, after we expressed our song and vision to her. She even edited the music. She was so friendly, her schedule was so flexible, and she took advantage of each minute of every class. We really lucked out with her. She is so incredibly talented, and it shows. Our wedding was about a month ago and people don't stop talking about our first dance. The choreography was so amazing. It should also be noted that neither myself not my husband are dancers in any way! Thank you Lucia! Do not think twice about using her for your first dance choreography. Our friends are going to use her too!

Soho dance was the place I first really started to learn to dance. It has been my home and a place…read moreof community and learning. The thing I love most about there is that they have is tic toes that will teach you the skills and the foundations do dance while still making it fun. I need a balance of technique and fun and they deliver! I have had the esteemed pleasure of working with and competing with many of the instructors, I've learned a multitude of dances, had incredible support and the most fun I've had pretty much anywhere. Dance itself can be almost addictive once you jump in and boy what better place to get those endorphins in while learning than at a place like this? I went from knowing virtually nothing and feeling very overwhelmed (in a good way) about any partner style dance, (I also didn't have a background in other forms of dance) and threw myself in entirely to then be at my first salsa competition a year later. I'm so glad I made that investment. I've warned lifelong friends and memories. They have knowledgeable teachers, kind staff, a wonderful space and always something fun going on. I have worked with the owner, Raul, the amazing Artem, the show stopping Yesenia, the bubbly Deana, the sassy Jackie and many others during my time there. The knowledge and experience I now possess makes me feel comfortable in most dance settings, socially or otherwise. If you're looking for a place to learn and have fun...this is it!

I appreciate how smart he is in his improv and how he encourages his students to be the same. I am definitely more confident after taking improv with him. I trust that I am enough and that has freed me to be more creative than ever! Plus my booking/callback ratios especially for commercials (since they are mostly improv) have drastically improved. Thanks Jay!!!

The sign of a truly top tier class is that is doesn't simply repeat the common and thorough list of ideas other great classes also teach, but it brings up new or overlooked ideas. Jay brought ideas to my attention I hadn't heard before and addressed developing areas of my improv I've never even considered developing further. And not just for myself. And he did so humbly and with the gracefulness of Mr. Miagi. This guy wins friends and influences people! He also has the class summarize things gone over to help us retain and remember what he taught which is very helpful. If you're looking to round out your education, get ANY possible question answered (Ex. Q: Can I have a dollar, Jay? A: No!!! Ex. 2 Q: Pleeeeeeeease?! A: No!!! Ex. 3 Q: .... A: No!!!), have ongoing support via email and messaging (it's really mentoring if you think about it), or see the greatest cow impression ever performed in a sober state (Cheers to sobriety! *Clink*).... You've gotta do this class. Find a cheap AirBnb near the heart of Hollywood -- there's a great spot in Culver City with a Japanese chick hosting for instance either for a one bed or two bed. Uber-ing over was $5-6 per way total for two people. I forgot to, but remember to take pictures including with your classmates and Jay and his friends for nostalgia's sake. Also, there was an awesome improv performance by Jay and his pro friends at the end. Haven't seen it that good in person! Don't sneeze or you'll be begging for a replay.
