Had a last minute self tape and Mark saved the day! A friend recommended him to me and I was able to schedule an appointment on the website right away. I had 3 short scenes so I booked a 1 hour coach/self tape session and it was very much worth it. He's very easy to work with, analyzes the script really quickly and helps you discover strong choices. After doing self tapes myself for the last few years and juggling memorizing lines, staying calm, finding a reader, etc. with the inevitably frustrating experience of running out of storage, camera battery dying, losing my light, etc. I decided this is a process better done by a dedicated pro. What a find!! I have been taping at home for WAY too long. This past week, I landed an audition for a television series requiring a very quick turnaround on a self-tape, and I didn't want to mess around. I found Mark on Yelp and was ecstatic that I could immediately book through the website. I have never written a review before, but I was so upset with what happened today. I have had no correspondence from anybody so I have resorted to leaving a review. I had a last minute audition I needed to film before my work day started at 10am. I scheduled a self tape session with Jesse Calendar through their website for 8.30am and received a confirmation via email. I showed up, the door was locked. I called twice, I messaged via instagram, and no response. I waited around until 9.15am, until I gave up and had to leave. I understand we are in a pandemic, but if you are unable to provide services, please remove them from your website, and have the decency to contact me. Booking through the website was very simple and straightforward. I had additional questions and Mark got back to me quickly and in a friendly manner. He makes himself available via text, phone call and email. After booking my time slot through the site, I got a very informational email that went over basic FAQs and what to expect. His set up is minimal but professional and he went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable. He even suggested some minor adjustments for my performance and staging that I very much appreciated. I had a chance to review a couple of my takes on his camera before we wrapped up. We agreed on the best ones and he then edited them together for with my slate shots. I received the edited files via WeTransfer within minutes. I was pleased with the quality of the tape itself (lighting, background, video quality, etc.) and my overall experience with Mark. After doing countless self tapes by myself and with friends, I found that Mark's service really took the pressure off of all the logistical stuff that goes into the experience.
