I really enjoyed the 4-week classes with Michael. I consider it a great foundation/intro to voiceover work. Creatively it covers commercial, narration and character work. From the business side, it goes over marketing, equipment, getting started with submitting yourself for work, to find an agent, demos - and I'm maybe leaving something out! Michael encourages, and leaves time for questions. (He stayed late every class). I liked that the classes were small and in person/ not zoom. There was plenty of time to work in the recording booth in every class and Michael offered great notes and direction on performance. If you have ever thought about going into VO, even just a LITTLE BIT, you need to start with this class. Michael is beyond world-class. I was recommended this class by a woman I ran into at work about 8 months ago who RAVED about Michael, the class structure, things that were taught, etc. I guess it was a friend of hers that took the class? I'm not sure - doesnt matter. Point is - if a random woman's friend loved it that much where now this random woman can radiate the positivity of a class she knows nothing about? I am taking the class. After taking the class, I have to say, it was more than worth it. Id take the class again if I could, but I think my boss would kill me. Anyways - Michael is EXTREMELY encouraging - there are no stupid questions. It doesnt matter if youve never been in a booth before, or never acted before - he is there to guide you every step of the way! I just completed my voice over reel with Michael; this was something that I had been wanting to do for the last 2 years. When I was shopping around for locations to get it done Michael was the first and only person to respond back to my inquiry. He made the process so easy and so much fun. I was looking for in-person classes in Los Angeles (during COVID-19 times for any future readers!) and came across Michael's class. I was a bit hesitant at first about signing up, but after finishing the September class I have zero doubts about that decision now. Michael and fellow classmates were incredibly supportive and getting actual practice inside studio booth was precious learning experience for a newly starting person like myself. Michael also gave many constructive tips and tricks, and it seemed to be that he genuinely cared about his students unlike some others that only seem to care about money. Was so please to find Michael to record and work my daughter on a last minute VO audition that came through on a Friday and happened to be due over a weekend day.
