Tokyo Supergreens, Tofu

Okay salads with quick service. Just Salad has many menu options and their bowls are cheaper than sweetgreen (although not as filling). This location is rarely busy so it's easy to get a quick bite at.

Autumn Caesar salad
David L.

I ordered from Just Salt for lunch via UberEats because I wanted to try something different than the usual Sweetgreen or Honeygrow. This place is definitely a nice alternative and their seasonal menu was particularly interesting to me. The meal was expensive but tasty. My main complain stems from the fact that it was poorly packed and did not travel well. I would be curious to see how the experience is in person. My salad also had too much dressing on it, but that was my fault for ordering it mixed in. I would avoid the avocado toast. While it had plenty of avocado and great toppings, it was just soggy by the time it got me and the toast could have been a little more well done. I'm giving them 4 stars because they offer something interesting and the food was not bad. I will only eat here again if I go in person.

Chicken Shawarma Salad, Crispy Chicken Poblano Wrap & Chicken Poblano Soup

Great place for a healthy meal! Such a huge variety of salads and grain bowls plus you can create your own. They also have smoothies, soups and avocado toast. We've been here a few times and have had everything but a smoothie and a grain bowl. It was all delicious. Impressed that the items that are listed as spicy do have a nice kick. Only qualm is the inconsistency of the level of dressing mixed into salads. You can order light, medium, or heavy; however, depending on who you get medium can be heavy and light can be medium so there's room for improvement on that. Also, it sucks that this location is closed on the weekend. Otherwise, this place is great! Will return and do recommend !

If you look veeeerry closely you can see the two flimsy pieces of tofu in this pathetic tofu banh mi wrap

I had some wraps and the Autumn Caesar Salad catered for a work lunch and was excited from the simple and clean presentation of the packaging. Sadly, the attention to detail stops there. I strongly believe that a salad is not a meal (fine as a side) so I went for a wrap. I had the California wrap and mostly had mouthfuls of romaine lettuce. Feeling unsatisfied and still hungry I picked up the tofu banh mi wrap and a heaping serving of salad as well. Incredibly, this wrap was worse than the first. It was a whole wheat wrap filled with 90% raw carrot, 5% raw cucumber, and 5% tofu and some sprinkled furikake with no sauce or other flavor. It was so awful and rabbit food-esque that I tossed it after a couple bites. Maybe stay true to your name, stop throwing vegetables into tortillas and marketing them as wraps, and stick to just salad. Though even then the one I had was mediocre at best. I'm off to have a slice of cake now because I am still hungry after the triple disappointment and I just need something that won't let me down.

Barbacoa Market Bowl

My experience at this location was just so-so. I was meeting a friend for lunch and while it met all of our needs (we just wanted something fast and casual on Penn's campus), I left underwhelmed. I walked in at about 11:50am on a Friday and it was completely empty. Since my friend wasn't going to arrive until noon and I was a few minutes early, I figured I would just browse through the menu and wait until she got there. Little did I know that just a few minutes later, the place would be packed. It seemed like all of their customers were making a quick stop in during their lunch break from work or school. My friend and I had only allotted one hour to meet and in an effort not to waste any time, I figured I would just jump in line then before it kept piling up. I ordered the Barbacoa Market Bowl which comes with chicken barbacoa, warm brown rice, Brussels and kale slaw. It sounded great on the menu and the friendly waiter told me that it has a bit of kick to it -- perfect, that's exactly what I wanted. Just a few moments were spent to prepare my bowl and to process my order so the entire process was fast and easy. The Barbacoa Market Bowl itself was just alright. The chicken was good, the rice was warm just as suggested, and the Brussels were fresh, but honestly, the bowl was flavorless. It had no kick to it whatsoever. Putting the underwhelming food aside, I was content with the layout of the restaurant, prices and staff. Everything was kept clean and tidy, and the staff was nice. For roughly $10, I left content without that uncomfortably full feeling. Would I return? Possibly. Although it wouldn't be my first choice, I do like the fact that it's a healthy and easy option for a lunch meeting spot in University City.

BYO salad and Berry Wild Smoothie!

I had a very interesting experience here. I was thinking about ordering an ahi tuna salad and getting it delivered but I'm glad I didn't! When I walked in, the workers didn't seem thrilled to be doing their job which is understandable, but I also was the only customer in the store so I would expect at least a little bit of customer service. Then, they said they were out of the tuna so I decided to do a pick two with a salad and smoothie. The menu is very misleading as it says that the steak is only $1 extra, but they mean that specific steak salad on their menu is $1 to the combo, not adding steak on the build your own. To add steak is $4 and when I got to the register and explained my misunderstanding they didn't say anything except this is how it is, so I ended up paying $4 for salad. The salad and smoothie itself were freaking delicious. You get to add 3 toppings for free and the green goddess dressing is so good, so overall it hit the spot for craving a salad and the price was actually great for what I got. I'm giving it 3 stars because of the experience, but if you can get past that the food is great.

I had already started eating

I ate here for the first time today. I had the Autumn Caesar (seasonal only) and a piece of bread. It comes with romaine lettuce, grilled chicken, croutons, dried cranberries, bartlett pears and shaved Parmesan. I had my dressing put on heavy. The bowel it comes in is big and they fill it up to the top. I felt the sweetness from the cranberries were a perfect mix. I'd definitely come back to try some of their other choices. You can also buy a reusable bowel and get free toppings each time you use it.

Fresh Salads

Just salad is a fantastic experience if you are looking for real fresh, real fast, real healthy, real tasty salad. I took my Wife and kids here because we were all craving a nice salad. I heard great reviews about this place and they more than met our expectations. There is off street parking that is pretty easy to find after 5 o' clock. The restaurant is easily accessible. The dining area is very clean and comfortable. The staff is very hardworking and courteous. The bathrooms are very clean and well kept. The prices are very reasonable for a fresh salad. I ordered the Chicken Shwarma they ran out of the correct dressing for the Chicken Shwarma. I was a little disappointed but opted for the Ranch which was very tasty. My Son got a Buffalo chicken salad and he said he liked it very much. My wife and Daughter ordered the Classic Chicken Caesar salad and they also enjoyed their meals. I can say that the salads are very fresh. We had zero complaints and had a very nice meal for a reasonable price. Go check them out.

You can order at a kiosk so you don't even have to interact with anyone. Their tzatziki might be the best I've ever had and I've been to Greece multiple times. We are about a block away on the Penn Campus so we decided to check it out. The restaurant was about half full. Most people ordered their meal to go and rushed to get back to work. There is an extensive menu filled with different options. I decided to go for the plate option which comes with an entree and two appetizers. I ordered the chicken with tzatziki sauce along with pita on the side. For the two sides I chose lemon potatoes and mushrooms. The chicken was great after rolling it up in the pita and dipping it in the tzatziki sauce. The lemon was a little too strong in those potatoes. Next time I might choose french fries or rice instead. They give you a large amount of food for the price. I was unable to finish the entire meal and grabbed the rest to go for later. The staff was very helpful getting a to go box and cleaning up afterwards. I think I will definitely be coming back here for a large meal sometime this week.

Healthy Picks is a 24-hour food market that serves not only a variety of 'healthy' picks, but they've got everything else to satisfy your craving, from delicious smoothies to a gyro, a reuben sandwich, some fresh fruits and veggies, and so much more. As far as selection goes, this little place packs a big punch! The inside of the bodega/deli/food mart is very clean, but small, and it can get quite chaotic there at times. They've got kiosks to put in your order in addition to ordering and paying at the cashier. At busy times, orders can take a little while to process, but it is always worth the wait! That's because of all the exotic goodies along the wall to tempt your culinary adventurous side as you wait, like Italian chocolate-filled cornettos or blueberry yogurt pretzels and all other kinds of pre-packaged snacks from all over. The best part of Healthy Picks is also it's worst. Like many other 24-hour places, they tend to attract vagrants hanging around their entrance looking for handouts. It can be a little intimidating, especially at night. That being said, I've never felt unsafe at Healthy Picks, as the place is always buzzing with happy customers.

The grits would have been better if they had some more seasoning in them. Eggs were good. Fish was lightly seasoned was a bit bland. I think they have the potential to get the seasoning proportion right other than that I enjoyed my meal fully. Service: 4/5 Waitress was very nice and welcoming. I have even heard live music when walking by (at least twice) but never decided to dine here until today and I'm so glad that I made the choice to do so. When we walked up to the restaurant, 2 men greeted us (after we were seated inside we saw that they were musicians); when we entered, I surveyed the restaurant slowly looking for signage or something to try and figure out if we should seat ourselves but as we made our way to the rear seating section, a waitress asked if we were dining in - we were so she advised us to seat ourselves. Once seated she came to our table with menus; it didn't take long for us to order. We both ordered Pomegranate lemonade to drink and for our main dishes my hubby ordered the fish and grits and I ordered a veggie omelette with cheese, which came with a side of home fries and I added a side of turkey bacon (requested to be cooked well) and my hubby also ordered a side of French toast. Everything was delicious - and yes, I sampled his food too (lol)! My favorite was the fish (he ordered Whiting; Swai was also an option). The texture and flavor of the fish was perfect; the grits were already seasoned (to our liking). The veggie omelette was good but I should've said light on the cheese because it was a tad too cheesy for me but it was still very good. The turkey bacon was also cooked per my request and the home fries were also a good texture and seasoned to my satisfaction. Almost forgot - the French toast, which was very flavorful. Last, shortly after we ordered the band began to play - I think they played a 30 - 45 minute set, which sounded great. Based on the service, the prices, the taste of the food and the entertainment, I WILL be back!

It's spacious with two floors of seating and easy take out as well. The service is excellent. Sid is so friendly and wonderful. I was the only person in the restaurant for a brief period in between other guests leaving and coming, and we chatted about Ethiopia's history & travel, as I'm dying to go there. Above all, the food was fantastic. I got the Village Scramble, spiced eggs with veggies in injera. Wow wow wow! Their injera is delicious and the heat level was great (not ridiculously spicy, but a good kick). I also got their Shai Tea, similar to a chai but spiced slightly differently. It was delicious and now I know I can just come for a takeout chai latte here too. Can't wait to come back!

The meat combo plate (Siga Wot and Siga Alicha w/ two veggie sides) was very underwhelming. The meat portions were tiny and barely flavorful. The veggies were just ok. We did have an order of chicken and beef samosas. Those were good. Sad that the appetizers at a restaurant tastes much better than the entrees. The customer service needs lots of work as well. Although this place is BYOB, our server wouldn't bring us cups until we ordered food. I guess she did us a favor by providing us with cups of water first. Our server brought our food out and we never saw her again. No other staff member checked on us either to see if we needed anything (and a few of them passed us as they were in and out of the restaurant). I was irritated and we were ready to leave. I went inside to pay the bill since no one came back to our table outside. Like we literally could have gotten up and went to our car and left. That's how ignored we felt. We did notice how the staff were being very attentive to other patrons inside the restaurant (Ethiopian as well and possibly family and/or friends). An Ethiopian guy (seemingly the owner or manager) was behind the counter and I told him I wanted to pay the bill. He had the nerve to ask how was everything. I said it was ok. I paid in cash and didn't leave a tip. That'll be the last time I go to this place as I do not recommend it whatsoever. I'm sure there are better Ethiopian spots in the Philly area.
