The service was good when we sat down downstairs but when we got to the comedy club, it's gets a little hectic because I feel like there's too many people and I feel like you would need to hire maybe two or three waitresses as there was an issue at my table they put in an order for their food and before the show was ending, the food finally came out and it was burnt, but they did make it up with them by basically not charging them for the food. The people were very dissatisfied as they walked out after they paid the bill. Didn't even get a chance to finish the show so that's where I would say improvements need to be done as far as service four big events on the second floor, just a suggestion

This morning on our way home we took a special detour to have breakfast here. I asked for the same veggie omelette, hoping to re-experience their unique and delicious creation, but alas! it was a total disappointment! The distinctively creative design was gone, and in its stead was just an average, run-of-the-mill omelette, all the while (to make things even worse) sans the spinach that was specified on the menu (which was generously offered 4 years ago). There is an undeniable bond between the musicians and their remarkable​ conductor, Russell Ger, that is easily sensed by an audience participant​. It seems to be a mutual admiration society. He obviously inspires them to reach for their highest levels. And to watch him conduct is equally inspirational​ for the audience. His short monologues before each selection lead to a much deeper understanding and appreciation of the composer, the culture of the times and the brilliance of the music. And watching Mr. Ger as he conducts, one is sure to conclude that you are watching someone akin to the great humanitarian Leonard Bernstein. I feel like a better person for having attended the GNSO performances.

I also tried the fried chicken sandwich which was well seasoned and made all that much better with the sriracha mayo and pickles! I will be back for certain to explore the rest of the sandwich and salad options, especially the capers and oyster mushroom sandwiches and roasted beet and goat cheese salads. They also offer baked goods from Newburgh Flower Shop down the block as well as a variety of coffee and tea drinks. If you get pickup, call the restaurant directly because the prices through Doordash are higher to compensate for the fees the restaurant has to pay. Good to have Toasted on the Liberty Street scene!

The bread was sturdy and crusty and crunchy on the outside. The oyster mushrooms were accompanied with a lovely spicy aioli and pickles. Even though it may a cost a little more than a sandwich from a national chain, the food is made with lots of care with fresh ingredients and the portion is enough for two lunches (at least for me). It was a little messy so I was glad I was outside to enjoy it. It's a small space inside (perhaps 5 square table for 2 each) and it's almost kitty corner to my favorite shop, Oliver & Chatfield. Since it's a little further down on Liberty street, you'll find plenty of street parking.
