It is convenient well cooked food prepared by people who care. 6 full meals plus extras that cost me less than $10 per person. This place came highly reviewed to us when we had just moved to the area, so we decided to check it out. My husband ordered the beef platter, I ordered the chicken platter, and we got a gyro sandwich and fries to share. The beef was tender but overall flavorless. The chicken was tasty, tender and well-seasoned but not over seasoned. The rice pilaf was *chef's kiss* mouthwatering. The salad dressing they put was good and so was the bread and potato sides. The French fries however, I'd save your money on. They were bland and dry with no seasoning whatsoever. They were not the crispy texture that fries should be. The gyro sandwich was delicious, I would definitely recommend that. It's a huge size though, good for sharing. The portions they give are very plentiful and filling. We had ordered a spinach pie as well but were too stuffed to eat it, so it's currently waiting in the fridge to be tomorrow's breakfast. Service in the drive thru was quick. Overall, if you're going to eat here I recommend the chicken combo platter and the gyro sandwich. Pass on the beef unless you're accustomed to things with very little seasoning. read more

It is important to know what you want before you get in line because it moves very quickly and there is no time to be indecisive. The food is prepared while you wait in line, you can see the food being cooked and it's ready very quickly. You get a high quality meal for a great price, too. I got the shrimp kabob dinner, which had three kabobs full of shrimp, a salad, a potato, rice pilaf, and a pita. It really was enough food for two people to share. The flavoring on the shrimp was delicious and they were cooked perfectly. The potato was delicious, as was the rice pilaf. The salad had lettuce and green peppers and made a nice accompaniment to the meal. The dressing was delicious. The pita bread was warm and went well with everything on the plate. The name says Just Kabobs, but there is so much more! I've had the Chicken Kabob plate and the Chicken Kabob sandwich. YUM! They also have gyros, salads, various meat kabobs, hummus and an entire chicken if you're really hungry. The Kabob plate is the powergame - you get 2 Kabobs, 2 potato wedges, pita bread, rice and a salad - all for under $6! The food is flavorful and not greasy. They also have a Drive-thru - you don't even need to get out of the car at 8:45 when you are too tried to go home and cook. :) Seriously, go eat there right now, there are not enough places like this in the burbs (so it's totally your fault if they close. ) read more

The marinated chicken makes me the happiest any marinated chicken has ever made me since this little hole-in-the-wall Greek sandwich place that was across the street from a place I used to work. No one else has ever come close, so that's a very impressive thing to me. Just wish their pitas were better. That's the only thing holding them back. I realize we're spoiled by Pita Inn, but come on. Delicious, delicious, delicious. I love this place. A co-worker of mine would eat here all the time. We never understood why, until one day myself and some others tried it. We were immediately hooked. For less than $5 you can get a lunch combo with chicken, rice, potatoes, pita and gyro sauce and a soda! There is always a line for lunch and somehow the food is still always fresh. As soon as your order they throw your food on the grill. I also recommend the pita sandwich or the salad with chicken and their house dressing. A vendor of mine catered lunch for my company. The owner delivered the food himself and even did a test run the day before to make sure he knew where we were located. Now that is service! Super casual, so no fuss about what you are wearing. I needed a healthy quick lunch after spin class and found this place conveniently located across the street from my gym. Thank goodness for the drive-thru. It's way to hot to step outside of the A/C, even for a good kabob. $4.05 got me a chicken kabob sandwich in soft pita bread with some sort of tomato cucumber/Greek-like salad sandwiched in. I was in the area for work today and did a quick yelp search to find lunch. Based on reviews (and this not being a large chain restaurant), I gave it a shot. Service at the drive-thru was fast and prices are reasonable, especially for the amount of food you get. I ordered the combo plate (gyro meat with a chicken kabob, rice, potatoes, salad, pita, tzatziki) and a side of hummus and spicy feta (w/pita). My total was just under $12 and it was food for 2 people easily! Sadly, my chicken kabob was not included, so I can't tell you how it tasted and I knocked a star off for getting my order wrong and not giving me all of what I paid for. The gyro meat was OK. I would say a bit overcooked, which coming from me is unusual! It was dry and needed some kind of sauce to help it out... The potato wedges were huge and didn't have a lot of flavor, nor did the pile of rice that would feed a village. The hummus was nothing special either and lacked flavor; don't waste money adding it to your order. The tzatziki was OK and I used it to give some more flavor to the gyro meat. The salad was also nothing great, although the onions and pepper strip (just one!) went well with the gyro meat for flavor. The pita was fresh, warm, and very fluffy! It was probably my favorite part of the main dish. The spicy feta initially turned me off because the color is an unappetizing orange and it just does not look appealing in any way!! It came with a ton of pita bread, which again is delicious. The spicy feta, once you get past the look however, is GREAT! I would definitely order this again. It's like a creamy feta dip with just enough spice to give it better flavor. I highly recommend this side (which I believe is about $3?) but you might find more flavorful main dishes elsewhere. read more

Had a pretty good meal here. I was deep in the suburbs and craving some Gyros, so I used the good old Yelp search to find something nearby. I had a combo Gyros/Pork kebab plate(comes with rice/salad/potatoes). Gyros was cut off the rotisserie and pretty good, pork was pre-made and then re-grilled, not too great. Rice was very basic, and the salad was, well rabbit food. If you're out this far from the City, you'll probably be happy with your meal, it was quick and pretty cheap. I noticed that a lot of the previous reviews are from people that live in the deep burbs, and for them, they don't really know what great Greek/Middle Eastern food is. I love this place! Located a couple minutes from home, where the nasty KFC used to be, Just Kabobs is a refreshing change from the greasy chains that populate so much of the suburbs. Now, they are even open Sundays (which my Dad credits to himself since he is obsessed with this place and badgered the owner). The food is delicious and always fresh. The prices are beyond reasonable, you can check out their website...my sister complained that there's not much of a selection for vegetarians, and I do think they should perhaps incorporate some falafel or something into their selection (currently you can eat side/greek salad or rice, pita bread or potatoes but aside from the salad that's carb central). They also offer a variety of smoothies and have a drive-thru. They are about to open their second location in Hanover Park, I cannot rave about this place enough, it's so delicious. This place is the best! My fiancé and I have eaten here multiple times in the last few years and sometimes I find myself just craving kebabs. It isn't authentic Greek food by any means, but there is a lot to love about it. 1. Great value. You get a ton of food for the price. We usually get a chicken dinner and a steak dinner (each comes with 2 skewers of meat) and then share. You also get a small salad, pita bread, marinated potatoes and rice. So much for only about $7. 2. Drive thru! Yes, they are set up like a fast food joint (because they pretty much are) and you can just drive up and be on your way home. No muss, no fuss. 3. Delicious food. I've never had bad food here which says a lot for consistency. 4. Friendliness. The staff are super friendly here. I always get a smile and great service. Once, in December of last year, I arrived about 5 seconds after they closed the register (I know, I know, I'm a jerk) but the guy behind the counter did not let me go away hungry. He asked what I wanted and then scooped up some of the last of the day's food, still piping hot, packed it all up and told me to enjoy, it was on the house and Merry Christmas. Great Find! At first I thought it was a cheesy fast food place, but this place is great if you're looking for something different for dinner, or even better, catering! We ordered a small catering order for my Mom's birthday dinner, and then 2 weeks later a large order for my neice's 3rd birthday party. Ironically, my Aunt had Just Kabobs catering my cousin's 1st birthday party on the same day! Heads up, they'll split a tray of 1/2 rice & 1/2 potatoes if you dont want full one of each. One of fav quick healthy and cheap meals in St. Charles. I've always gone through the drive-thru so I've never had the experience inside but all of the food I've brought back home has been fresh and hot! I like their chicken kabob meal the best. You get so much food! Tons of rice with two roasted potatoes and the two chicken kabobs along with warm, yummy pita bread and a small salad with tomatoes and green pepper. I've also had their beef kabobs and the rotisserie chicken. I don't like the flavoring as well on the beef kabobs and they were a tad bit chewy, that's why I stick with the chicken. This place is generous with their portions and the meat quality is great! Atmosphere: Typical fast food joint decor. Nothing really stuck out, but at least it was kept continuously clean. I couldn't handle the heat from the kitchen. This was in Spring too! It's a mild complaint, I just felt it was a tad too warm for my comfort. Service: The men in the kitchen and front desk are no nonsense and straight to the point. I can appreciate service like that considering how busy they are for such a small place. Respect yo. Food: My mouth was watering when they put my food container in my hand.... You see them prepare and cook everything fresh! I really enjoyed how fresh my salad was too! And I hate salad at most fast food places! You gotta really appreciate a fast food place that uses quality meat. The chicken, the Gyro.... It all tasted so juicy, tender, and flavorful! I am so glad to see that this place is getting a lot of good responses on Yelp. I found it on Yelp a few years ago, but didn't even think of giving it a review for some reason. This place is one of my favorite fast food places that I have ever been too. If you are ever thinking to yourself that you wish there could be a fast food place that is actually on the healthier side... This is it! It is healthier, but not at the cost of taste. The food is amazing!! So I was and often do some kind of Low Carb diets and wanted to find places where I could get some meat and salad. They got that! I wish they used romaine lettuce in their salads, but it could be better off that they don't cause I wouldn't want to eat anyplace other then this place... ever. Their salads are a good size with low cost. They only have two dressings, some kind of house (which I don't recall what type it was) and ranch. The ranch is very good, thinner then most but tasty. For the meats, I love their Chicken Skewers and often buy some to take home for a weekend, don't wanna do anything but throw something in the microwave and just veg out. The best part about this place is that it is really affordable for the quality of food you get. I do have to say that there was one time that I didn't find their bathrooms to be as clean as I'd expect... but that was 1 out of at least 20 times going here. So, I don't hold that against them, it could be I just walked in after some poor slob left. read more

I eat here way more often then I should but I just can't help it! This is by far one of my favorite places! My motto tends to be "When all else fails, Just Kabobs" I'm sure that doesn't sound very catchy to you now but once you try this place you'll be following the same motto. Let's start with the customer service. It's fantastic. All the employees here are so polite! I have yet to have a negative experience. They are always smiling, create a little bit of chit chat (the non-awkward type) and make sure you have everything you need. Second, the food...it's delicious It's all so simple but cooked and seasoned to perfection. I adore their gyro and the pita they service with it. I've never had chicken, steak or shrimp here that was dry and over-cooked. Also, the quantity of food they give you is crazy! Rice, potato wedges, a side salad and your choice of meat!
