The food is delicious and a good value. The meals are large quantities. I enjoy the hummus as a sidekick.

This place is flippen' amazing. While shopping in Geneva, I ate lunch at Just Kabobs and ordered a combination plate that comes with gyros and your choice of another meat (steak, pork, chicken or shrimp), so I went with the chicken. You get a nice pile of gyros, a skewer of chicken, rice pilaf, a side salad, potatoes and pita bread - but the real kicker is that it's all for $7.39. It seems that they are constantly grilling kabobs and have them hot and ready so you don't have to wait. OMG - everything was excellent. The gyros was probably some of the best I've ever had (and I've eaten at almost every Greek restaurant in Chicago) and the chicken kabob was so juicy and flavorful. I just wish this place was closer to home and I'd be able to make more frequent visits. Awesome food at great prices. Try it! read more

I finally was able to give this place a try when I was home for the weekend and convinced my dad to get take out. So glad I did. First, I'm so happy there is finally a place like this in the Western suburbs....now that I'm no longer in Evanston, I need something to fulfill my Pita Inn craving. I had a beef kabob dinner and my dad had the combo...both come with a side salad, rice, potatoes or fries (although I saw no fries, they just gave us the potatoes) and pita. They also sell skewers a la cart, so I threw on a chicken skewer to try that too. It was all very flavorful, fresh, and delicious. Plus, the portions are HUGE, so I ate it for dinner and for a late night snack. (My dad had his second half the next day for lunch, and said it was still awesome then too). I will be back, probably after Thanksgiving when I'm home and need a study break. I really hope the rest of the TriCity area realizes how awesome this place is so that they don't close it down (it is in a random location that probably doesn't attract a lot of attention). But we were there on a Sunday night at like 5pm and there were a fair number of customers. read more

Well, if you are looking for a romantic fine dining experience, don't go here! BUT if you want a really nice plate of Greek food for a song, check it out! This is turning into my go to "I really don't feel like cooking tonight" spot. So the meals are huge and you get rice, Greek potatoes, yummy flatbread, a salad and a couple beef, chicken or pork (my fav!) kabobs for $7-9. Gyros is very good and you can get a smaller plate too. Hubby and I can split a dinner with an extra kabob and we are filled up. They guys there are nice folks too! The dining area is no great shakes, but the place is clean and well kept. Unfortunately their gyros have changed over time. The quantity of meat is almost half of what they use to serve. It's too bad but I guess it's their way to control costs. I'll be looking for a new gyros place. read more

I have been going to this restaurant since they open. But lately each time we order they get it wrong. From not topping the soup up properly and it spills all out to cut back tremendously on their salads. I am eating what looks like a half of salad. I always ask to put the dressing on the side and they always do not do it. They were not like this before - I would stop and bring lunch for my entire office. I was going here at least 1x a week to order a lot of food. But not anymore - the soup has not been good several times - very watered down. You call and complain and they have always replaced the order, but it is happening way too often. And their prices went up and the food quality has gone down. Now let me be clear - they have the best Kabobs I've ever tasted, but I have issues where the number of pieces of meat was shortened on that too. So it is every time we order and I don't have time to keep calling them. They need to go back to how they were maybe a year ago. Something changed and not for the better. read more

This place was a staple when I was growing up, and now a nice treat when I'm in the area. I've only ever had the dinner plates (all of them except for the rotisserie chicken ones), hummus and spicy feta dips, and the smoothies. Can't go wrong with the dinner plates, they drive a hard bargain at $7.99 for the chicken and pork kabob options. They come with 2 kabobs (3 if you get shrimp), rice, potatoes, salad, and pita. They don't skimp on the portions either. I typically get the combination plate ($8.99), which comes with gyros, 1 kabob (your choice of meat, I like the chicken), rice, potatoes, salad, and pita. They even have a grilled veggie option with zucchini, mushrooms, peppers, etc. that I really enjoy as a meatless option. The meat is always flavorful, moist but a good char, and tastes fresh, never to greasy either. Salad is crisp and the house dressing is good. Pita is suuuuuuper soft. Rice is the Greek kind, which I don't know much about as an asian but I approve, its always fluffy and flavorful. I dont know what they marinate the potatoes in but I could drink it. For the smoothies, they're the kind where its just juice and ice blended together, but still tasty and $2.99 for a decent size. I've paid $5 for similar smoothies. As for the dips, both delicious! Hummus isn't the super smooth liquidy kind, but thicker and a good level of acid from the lemon. Spicy feta is pretty good, I prefer the hummus but my boyfriend likes the feta. Drive through is fine. I haven't been in a while. Parking lot/lane is really small so it gets backed out onto the road a lot during rushes. I always go inside to order because I drive a big van and don't like the hassle. Service inside is very fast. Very hard working people, not the warmest, but hey they're working real hard and they're still friendly and polite. Inside is clean, I almost never dine in but when I go in to order it looks nice and organized. Overall, can't say hardly anything bad about any of my experiences and I've been eating from Just Kabobs for about 10 years. Tasty food in big portions, quick service, clean dining room. Healthy too, not covered in grease. I couldn't get more food at Wendy's for $7.99, and it definitely wouldn't be as good for me or my tastebuds. read more
