Consigned for the first time at JBF San Mateo. Just warning people consigning that whatever you consign, just be prepared to lose it. I lost a kate spade diaper bag here. It wasn't sold and when I asked Marci Ludwig about it, she just shrugged it off. It's not the item or even the money but the principle behind it. If you ask people to consign, what security do you offer them if people can just shoplift and run away with your item. Never again. read more

This is a great event for used children's items -- well-organized sections, lots of selection, clearly marked prices, free parking, etc. It is like a humongous neighborhood garage sale of kids' stuff all in one large warehouse. Most people tag their items with reasonable prices, but occasionally, there is a complete LOON who prices a used toddler T-shirt for like $20. The best thing is that a lot of items are half-price on the last day of the event, so I walked away with several shirts, pants, jackets, and toys for my toddler for about $16 total. What a steal! One piece of advice to shopping moms is that you may want to keep your kids at home while shopping here. Kids end up seeing all the toys on display and just want to play with them or run around the entire warehouse, leaving you with no option but to chase after them and cut into your browsing experience. My friend kept her son in a stroller, but he got restless after awhile, so she decided to come alone the next time. Kudos to the dads who volunteer at this event! And they don't look like chumps who get bossed around easily by the loony moms described above either. read more

I've consigned at this sale for several years. Following the Spring 2021 sale, I will no longer participate. At the last sale I turned up at the very start of the seller sale time/date. There were almost no clothes for 4-5 year old boys, and we came away virtually empty-handed. It would be better if you're shopping for, say, 6-12 months girls. Note that this sale was the first time the organisers opened the pre-sale to non-consignors BEFORE the sellers, so there is no incentive to sell. We've now heard about the Outrageous Outgrowns sale and will go there in future. read more

This sale is something to get excited about and look forward to - twice a year!! There are so many items for kids, and they use most of them for such a short time (or not at all), that it's really fantastic for moms to be able to pass on items for others to enjoy, at the same time as shopping for the next stage! It helps to keep a wish list so you know what you want to shop for, and while the sale might not have all of the specific items you want, you're bound to find a lot of fantastic deals! I highly recommend shopping consignment if you're expecting or have a little one - you can get practically all the gear you need from one building and pay a LOT less! (Especially for extras to keep at grandmas house!!) I especially love browsing through clothes at the sales - I can get a whole new wardrobe for my little one for a fraction of the retail prices - and I get it all in one place, so I save both time and money! Toys at the sale are awesome too because they're very gently used, and sometimes you find an older model toy that's been discontinued but that you know your little one will love, or you might find a missing piece to a set you already have!! The variety of items is truly awesome. Here's my advice to make it really work for you. Go through your own household for items no longer needed - sign up to consign! As a consignor you get into the sale earlier than its open to the public, and if your items don't sell, you can choose to have them donated to a local group, or get them back! Next, sign up as a volunteer to help at the event! There are many shifts you can help with and when you do, you get an extra consignor percentage, plus you get into the sale even earlier! And you meet a lot of great parents in our community who enjoy hunting for deals and reusing items too! The nice part is, even if you don't consign or volunteer, the sale hours vary enough to allow everyone an opportunity to shop for deals. P.S. Volunteers are given a parking pass so if you arrange to shop the same day as your shift, there's no parking fee! And if you shop other days - there are other parking options nearby so you can avoid the fairgrounds parking fee, but you will really save so much money at the sale that the parking fee is totally worth it!! read more

Whoever does their marketing, is doing a great job. I found out about their event online, and their website contained info for consignors and volunteers (had it not been so last minute when I found out about their sale, I probably would've gathered my own stuff and tried to sell it at this event). All their info was clear, concise, and organized, and I was jazzed to go. I was actually looking forward to some pretty great finds, however the only thing I ended up spending was about 15 minutes of my time to walk through the showroom and realize that I didn't want nor need any of the items there. Giving the benefit of the doubt, I attended the sale the 2nd day so maybe all the good stuff was swooped upon the 1st day? It reminded me of the akward rummaging at a garage sale where you don't want to be rude by leaving 5-seconds after arriving because you don't see anything you like, but keep looking around because "just maybe I'll find something". I love the concept, the event was well-advertised, the website was informative, the items were well-organized and tagged, and there were some good prices BUT the lack of inventory leaves plenty to be desired. Perhaps if there were more items, more consignors then I'm sure this rating would be 5 stars. But all great things start with great ideas, right? Well some do, and I think JBF has great potential. Will I be back? Of course... maybe I'll have better luck next time. =) read more

Portland sale is sooo NOT WORTH the hassle! You spend weeks washing and ironing items just to have them come back filthy. You enter dozens of tags just to have them disappear and have to be renentered a few months later. Items "misteriously" disappear that you never get paid for. When you add up what you spend on hangers, cardstock, ink, pins, tape, sixties, gas, consigner fee, "lost" items, and JBF's whopping 40% cut, you'll find that you probably LOSE money. You're better off just donating your items to charity for the tax write-off instead. read more

This review is a comparison to Outrageous Outgrowns held in San Jose. I've been to OO several times and was hoping for a similar experience here. I went on Friday afternoon, 2h after it opens to the public. JBF this time round was about half the size of OO that I have been to. When I walked into one of the halls where the larger items were on sale, I had to ask the volunteer, is this all? Plenty of strollers and play pens, but besides that, gosh, hardly anything else. Maybe 2 bassinets, 2 changing tables, 3 walkers, 1 bicycle... I know the selection varies each event depending on the sellers but wow, they really need to step up their marketing if this is all they are attracting. The toys seemed to be much older and more worn that what I've seen at OO and the prices didn't seem commensurate with the quality. Very very few leap frog toys, no duplo/Lego, hardly any Melissa & Doug toys. In general, the selection was just much more limited. The good- each section was clearly labelled. No crowds compared to the notoriously long line at OO. The bad- not enough stuff! For the reviewer who said she was surprised at the parking fees and the entrance fee, these were clearly listed on their website. They even indicated on the map where you could park for free by the road. And if you printed out a pass (also on their website), you would have been given free entry at the door on Friday. Nonetheless, I would gladly drive to San Jose for OO and pass on this. read more

I went for the first time and I have to say I was disappointed. I am very consignment savvy and I was expecting good things. It was a free for all to say it mildly. The selection was sparse and I got there 45 minutes after it opened on Thursday. I'm not sure how things are priced, if there are guidelines cosigners must follow...but everything I saw it was ridiculously overpriced, especially the clothing. A friend of mine went in on Saturday and said it was well stocked so my guess is they may not replenish the sales floor during the day. Just a guess. I'm going to stick with my local consignment store. I get the ease and thought behind Just Between Friends, but honestly you can get better deals on craigslist and in the consignment stores. read more

As a consignor, shopper and volunteer, I can't say enough great things about this event! Yes, there are a lot of shoppers and yes, items move fast (so go early!) But the prices are great and often the items look like new or are brand new! I continue to be amazed by the inspection process as a consignor. They really do check to make sure items work and aren't worn before they are approved to go to the sales floor. Like any sale, whether retail or a yard/garage/rummage sale, of course you will need to look through different tables and shelves. The team does a great job trying to put items back that shoppers pick up and put down wherever they please. I can understand disappointment if you attend the sale and do not find what you had hoped to find. (You can actually have items "held" while you continue to shop if you don't want it to disappear before you decide.) As we all know, these comments are based on personal experiences (mine included) so I wouldn't decide to come solely on a couple people's statements. Just come check it out for yourself! read more

I went to one of these Just Between Friends sells and brought some nice things pretty cheap. So I decided to sell at the next one. Boy was that a big misstate. First of all you have to pay $12.00 dollars just to join the sell. Than they want you to pay for supplies. After that you have to wash and tag all of your items. And hope that someone buys them. And if they do you only get 60% of the sell. So if you figure it out you have to sell a lot of items just to get your money back. Let alone make a profit. What a waste of time and money. read more

Went to the first time parent sale on 10/4 so theoretically we had the best selection. Got there just a few minutes after doors opened and already the majority of larger items (swings, bouncers, strollers) were sold. The ones that were left were in mediocre shape, but I was expecting better quality. Prices weren't so great that it was worth sacrificing quality. Their company website says they only take items in excellent condition, but I observed products that had stains and tears (doesn't seem excellent to me). On the upside, they had tons of baby/children's clothes. This would have been nice if that's what we were looking for. If stuff sold this quickly today before the official sale even opens, I'd hate to see what's left by Sunday. May not be worth the $10 parking fee that the event center charges Fri, Sat, and Sun. If you are determined to go and take your chances - good luck! read more

We love JBF San Mateo! I have participated in a few sales now as a shopper, volunteer, consignor and more. I am continuously amazed by all they offer. Pretty much anything you need for a baby or toddler will be found here! As a consignor I have been thrilled with the amount I have made from each sale, it is definitely time consuming but worth every minute! They also offer a valet tagging service if you prefer to have someone price and tag your items for you! As a shopper, and mom of 2 toddlers, I have gotten some great deals on clothes, books and toys for my kids. Designer brands for far less than retail? Count me in! It takes a bit of time to sort through the clothes, but you'll want to spend the time to get all the best deals you can. Plus everything is thoroughly inspected for holes and stains so you know you are only getting the best. You won't be disappointed! On top of all that, the owner is amazing! She is sweet and extremely helpful. She always answer questions as soon as she possibly can, no matter how busy she is with the sale! Can't wait for the spring sale!! I found the prices and quality of clothes and items to be excellent. I highly recommend a visit later this year esp. if you need jackets or any snow related clothing which can be pricey. I do not agree with the reviews that gave only one or two stars. There are plenty of Melissa and Doug toys - in fact they had a whole set up of just M & D, lots of baby furniture and many of the clothes had the original sales tag on them. I like that the venue is smaller than Outrageous Outgrowns yet offers plenty of clothes for all ages. I also disagree with the statement that you can find better deals on craigslist and other consignment stores. Consignment stores have a monthly rent so they inherently will mark up a used item even if they sell a lot of volume. read more

Loved the spring sale, so looking forward to the fall sale in September. During the spring sale we all three volunteered and shopped. It was a wonderful experience, we loved it immensely. Shopping: Wow! This is by far the largest consignment children's sale I have ever been to and I have been to a lot of them. Everything is very organized with large easy to read signs. Its easy to find what you are looking for, like items are grouped together on the tables, clothes are arranged by gender (separate racks for girls and boys) and then by size, shoes are done the same way. The furniture is all in one area, large items are all in one area, all the car seats, strollers, swings, bouncers, and play gyms are also organized the same way, all like items together. It was just such a well organized sale and the prices were great. I went to the fall sale in Plano, Texas. The toys and clothing were way over-priced by the consignors. Second hand, faded jeans for $18 or more (new ones cost less). Old toddler sized T shirts for $10 and higher. I wonder what these consignors think - nobody spends this kind of money on USED children's clothing. Frankly, a lot of it was left over on the last day of the sale. Ladies, if you bought a children's shirt at Old Navy and then try to sell it for twenty dollars, nobody is going to be dumb enough to buy it. Get real. They've been to Old Navy sales, they know you probably bought it on clearance for $2.00. Pathetic attempt to make a "windfall" on used clothing. read more

I volunteered for this sale in the spring and it was awesome. It was the first time I went to one of these sales and I must say I was impressed! I have a 17 month old and after those first few months of buying everything new, I quickly realized how fast they grow out of things or lose interest so I am determined to get as much as I can used but in good condition. This is the perfect place for just that. There were so many fabulous items in great condition. I was a little hesitant at first, thinking that it was going to be a madhouse, disorganized and the dreadfully long lines I have heard about. But it wasn't like that at all. It got crowded, but everything was so organized and the lines moved fast. The folks working the registered moved it right along. I bought some wonderful outfits for my daughter, brand new with the tags still on them for more than half the cost. Janie and Jack, Baby Gap, Tea Collection, all my favorites. I also found some great toys for my newphew. I am very much looking forward to volunteering again in the fall. This time, I'll go to the pre-sale! I might even try consigning this time. read more

GREAT deals! They really have almost everything a parent would need. the only thing is parking - to avoid paying the $10, just park on the streets between El Camino and Delaware and walk over. You really get the best deals if you're a consignor or first time parent because you get to shop early. Frequently by Saturday and Sunday a lot of the big items are gone. However, they just changed owners and I just went (October 2015) and I think the owner didn't advertise too much and so there were TONS of stuff left even thought it is Sunday. Also the inspections weren't very stringent this time. It should improve as she gets more experience with running it. check out their website to see what kinds of things are sold, but it's almost everything. TONS of clothes. I come here every time they have a sale, which is twice a year. I almost always buy more than I expected because you find things here that you may have never known about or had forgotten to buy previously. This year I got a Halloween costume, originally $50 (on the tag and when I checked Walmart.com and Amazon), for $5!! love it! read more

My mother & I attended on the PRE-Sale day of this event on Thursday, Oct 1, 2015 @ 6:30pm. There are very significant pros & cons, which may be specific to the day, time & location we attended. This event is held in several other Northern Calif locations, during different parts of the year. Tips: It important to sign-up to receive emails & complete a quick pre/registration online prior to the events, specifically in reference to the locations u are interested in, so u don't miss out. The detailed emails u will receive prior to each event will provide u with valuable info like: where to park, the varied hours of operation & conditions of each sale day, specific rooms being utilized @ large facilities, how to get discount or free admission & how to sell your merchandise if u decide to be a consigner. There are both new & used (mostly) items being consigned here, but everything is pre-tagged, so u don't deal with an emotional, inexperienced or haggling seller. Remember to have your smart phone charged up & ready to check Amazon/eBay/Google, so u don't overpay. Bringing batteries of all sizes is a good idea to test that toys & items requiring power are fully functional b4 buying. In California bags aren't provided, so remember to bring your own. We brought 2 large Costco bags. Saw others w/ wagons, which is great for the sparsely attended pre-sale event. Maybe not so good during the busy main sale days, so I wouldn't suggest that on Friday and Saturday. Leave your kids at home, u will have a much easier time shopping & use your time more productively. Remember, u are paying to enter, so u really want to make this time count. Make sure you've had dinner or at least a significant snack & have an empty bladder. Make sure u wear comfortable shoes & wear a handbag that allows u use of both hands. Backpacks are also good for holding your stuff away. Pro: -The entire sale was well extremely well organized; duplicates & like items were placed together on clearly marked tables, bins, hanging racks & rounders by size, age, gender, holiday & use; the facility was well lit, clean & the volunteer staff was polite and helpful. -Sequoia (housed large equipment on Thursday evening) & Redwood (housed everything else) Halls were located at the very front entrance of the San Mateo Convention Center & were right across from each other - very convenient. -$5 total admission for both Mom & I to attend during the Thursday evening 1st time mother event (1 time only option/addnl pre-reg just b4 event necessary). Remember to read the emails, so that u can take advantage of any discounts or presale tickets u may be eligible for. -Consigners are responsible for picking the price within reason that they would like to sell their items for. There may be 4 "sleep sheeps" in completely different condition at different price points. Make sure u check out all 4, which in this case ranged from $9-$12. This item retails for $20 new AND u can utilize coupons from Bed, Bath & Beyond, as well as Buy Buy Baby to get an addnl 20% off in store. So buyer beware. All depends on how important saving $$ or the environment by reusing is to you. I like to do both, but there are some items that hygiene is a bigger issue to me when it comes to my baby, so u have to decide for yourself. Remember most fabric items can be washed. -Lots of infant/toddler toys, books & comfort items. These are the items I really stocked up on, however be careful in making sure that they are priced appropriately. You can get fooled into thinking it's this years item, when it's actually a version from several years back. So remember to bring your smart phone to perform a quick check of the Internet to guard against overpaying. Google is the quickest & most reliable one stop shop to obtain all the info u need. Con: -Volunteers, consigners, military & teachers got to attend hrs b4 1st time Mom's (us), so a lot of the expensive equipment (high chairs, strollers, bikes & walkers) were already purchased (large yellow claim tickets were placed on items as evidence) -Many of the items, especially CLOTHES were grossly overpriced (not all), so remember to bring your smart phone to guard against overpaying. -Many items were overused, stained, washed-out, old or cheap brands that can be purchased new in-store for a significant discount, especially the big kid clothes. Based on what I saw, I wouldn't even attend this event to purchase items for child over the age of 3yrs old. The selection was horrible. -U are still responsible for paying sales tax -Checkout lines remained long, only had one till for cash, but this does give u time to go through your items to make sure u aren't making a stress purchase, make sure all of your items are in good condition and to reconsider the price requested -Parking was $10 at the event center, which we were aware of since we read the emails, so we parked on the street. I was so stoked about this event because the word "consignment" gives me the impression that things will be sold at consignment, "cheaper" prices. Being a mom of 2, I have to be practical, shop smart for my growing too fast kids. Unfortunately as soon as I walked in to the show room it was already disappointing because the room was not as large as I envisioned. The pictures of JBF's past events had a large selection but to my dismay, this particular event was fairly scarce. There seriously were not much choices. The prices were also unreasonable. Some were priced almost at retail and some items were even sold at retail prices. I'm not sure if I was being picky but I was expecting the prices to be 50% or lower because of the type of event it was....I do not see myself visiting any future events. I went to the Just Between Friends consignment sale for infants and children in San Mateo today. I have to say I was really disappointed. We went mainly for baby clothes, since we have all of our big purchases complete - car seat, stroller, crib, etc. The clothing was a very disappointing selection that was way overpriced and completely unorganized. The newborn and 0-3 month section was filled with toddler sized clothes; 2nd hand onesies were priced at $8.00. It was a headache just looking at the racks. We then stopped by Marshall's in Foster City and found a nice, organized rack of cute, new baby clothes that were CHEAPER than the second hand stuff at Just Between Friends! If you are looking for a stroller or swing then it might be worth stopping by a Just Between Friends sale. But for clothes and sundries I would steer clear. They really need to improve their organization and reduce their prices for it to be worth the $10 parking fee. read more

I went a few days ago on the first day as a first time parent, and we got great stuff! Not everything on the list, but a good haul, and spent $200. That includes, but is not limited to: 2 swings, a bunch of cloth diaper inserts and covers, a bazillion infant socks, hats, a nursing pillow, a wipe warmer, and some other stuff I can't remember. Definitely worth it. You need to know what you are looking at because consignors set their prices, and there can be five of the same exact thing at five different prices. I have consigned here plenty of times. This is my last time consigning. Like previous poster when I dropped off items I just filled out the consignor waver. I don't think it was entered into the computer as usually happens. I wonder if this is the technical difficulty why sales aren't uploading? Previous owner I would check my progress every night! It's been 3 days and no sales uploaded yet! I hope it gets fixed. I didn't get a presale pass at check in. No one checked items at all. Also there were kids during check in. This wasn't allowed previously. There are a lot of moving going on of rolling racks boxes etc kids shouldn't be allowed. Adding: I got my sales report. More things sold during half price day then I expected. Usually most of my best items are sold full price. I price things to sell full price. This year I had my best items sell for half off which I am not used to happening. read more

This is my second time at this sale and it is a great event that provide high quality used clothing for kids. The best day is the half price day where you can really get the most bang for your buck! The system for checkout is smooth and straightforward. I have been to other sales and this one is just much better all around. For those who are upset about searching through the racks, this is not a department store, if you want to find a bargain or the jewel you actually have to look for it and if you want to avoid paying the $10 fee that the Event Center charges (not the Just Between Friends organizers) the park on the street like we did! In fact, the website even recommends you consider parking on the street and walking into the event. This is a great event and I plan to continue to return! read more

Well organized sale with lots of variety. I went to the half off sale on Sunday and found some amazing deals. We were literally holding back from shopping retail for months and waiting for this event. The quality of the clothing is usually really good, but occasionally you'll find a stain on some clothes. The "quality assurance" team does a really good job at inspecting the clothes. You get free admission and parking with a print out or their flyer. I recommend shopping as early as you can to grab the steals.. and then attend the half off sale for some more great finds! AMAZING... way better than going to garage sales! read more

I love it! I have attended every sale as a consignor, volunteer and shopper and have had nothing but great experiences! Consignor: I usually make around $500/sale as a consignor which is FANTASTIC considering I was donating everything before. The process is easy to do and I usually sit and watch all my DVR-ed shows while I tag. Volunteer: I love volunteering. You make more on your sales. You hang out with friends. You get to shop early. The schedule has shifts morning, noon & night so it's easy to find something that fits your day! Shopper: I love to bargain hunt. I love going through every piece of clothing on the rack and finding "treasures". I love it! I also love being able to buy toys that I would have NEVER paid retail for. Last sale I got a huge race track that retailed for $100 that I bought for $10 that my boys love! I am starting to tag for the March sale and can't wait to get shopping! read more

I just attended this sale and was disappointed. I went on the 2nd full day (Friday) and although the selection of items wasn't terrible, I found the prices quite high for consignment. I spent about $20 on a sleeveless onesie style romper, a pair of capris, and a sunhat for my 4 month old. I saw the same exact romper at another consignment store just a week later for 3 dollars less. My friend found a couple books and a swimsuit/coverup set, but she too thought the prices were high. read more

I went there for the first time on Friday, the first day open to the public. It was a mixed experience of frustration and ok. It was OK because: - the collection was fairly large, with things sorted out quite well so I found it easy to navigate - the venue was very big so you don't feel stuffed or got in the way by other shoppers - the quality and prices were quite fair, especially for the donated stuff. - there was a childcare space which I'm not sure if free or not as I didn't use it. It was a frustration because: - there was a carpark fee of $10 when you got to the event center. This is somehow against the idea of going to a sale event for low prices. I think they should have stated this in the flyer. - when I entered the sales room, a lady asked me for $3 entrance fee as I didn't have a pass. While obviously you only need a pass for the Thursday evening pre-sale. I told her so and she waived the fee for me, but it still felt of incompetent organization. In conclusion, I might still feel like going there if I could find a free parking space somewhere on the street and walk about 7-10min to get to the sales room. I give this 2 stars because I feel a lack of transparency in the event organization whereas it should be easier for its main target audience, moms who already have a lot on their shoulders with kids and budgeting. I also went to the Lollipop Market in Los Gatos for the first time a few weeks ago, and although it was much smaller, it was very well organized. JBF should definitely follow this example. read more

If you have the time to really look for baby items, you can get a way better deal then at this sale (thrift stores, other moms, etc). If you don't have time, the sale is better then paying full price.....for some things. In short, everything but the toys and some of the larger items is overpriced and you shouldn't pay for 10 bucks for parking at a consignment sale. For more deets see below: - I looked at the clothes for about 2 minutes until I decided that they were way overpriced for me to buy (I'll probably pick some up at 1/2 price day). I saw a 2T shirt for 7 bucks. - Also, hilariously overpriced, the bibs. I saw multiple bibs, stains and all, that were priced 3 dollars. And I'm not talking nice super high end bibs (b/c those exist?), I'm talking Carters bibs. Carters bibs, which you can get on sale new (on sale), for 3 dollars. - I thought the toys were a good deal and then had a huge selection of popular toys. - I thought some of the infant stuff was a decent deal (aden and anaias wrap for 6 dollars, etc.). - Saw a pair of kids shoes (6-12 mo) that looked like they had been through a war, priced at 10 bucks. Again, not super nice, or some crazy designer brand. - A 3 set of body wash priced at 24 dollars. It was a nice brand (Babyganics), but at $24, it is only about 4 dollars less then if new....and we are buying something that might not be full. - A lot of the cloth diapers were packaged together (in a taped ziplock) so you couldn't even check if they had stains???? - 10 dollars to park is laughable, the street parking is kind of far, but just walk it. Overall, the prices were way higher then I would pay for used stuff, but you can find some decent deals and I will go back for the 1/2 price day. read more

I attended this sale in the spring because we had recently moved and my son needed some new clothes (12-18 months a size usually available in abundance). I drove across the bay and was shocked to find out that parking was $10. It's a consignment sale! Why the heck would you have a consignment sale somewhere with such expensive parking. I don't know, maybe this was listed somewhere but between the bridge fee and parking I was up to $15 without even shopping. In the past I had bought both of my children's wardrobes for the season at similar sales so I decided to cough up parking at any rate. Imagine my disappointment to walk in and find an abysmal amount of clothing. I tried hard to find something worth buying but most of the stuff looked like it had been recycled one too many times. I definitely will not ever come back to the JBF. If I wanted to go to a garage sale I would have done so! Not worth it even if there had been free parking. read more

I have consigned at this sale regularly since it opened. A new owner took over last Fall, and this is last time I will consign my items at this sale. 1. There was no one available to check me in during drop-off. I dropped off during posted check-in hours. 2. When I found someone to help me, they did not sign me in via computer...just had me fill out a paper form. 3. My items were not checked during drop off, as was stated on the website. 4. The floor was a mess before the sale even started.... there were no labels in many of the sections (items were just thrown on the tables and all mixed up...barbies, with legos, play food, baby toys, anything someone wanted to put there), no sizes in the swimsuit sections (all swimsuits were mixed up), not enough containers for items 5. The owner did not post sales each evening, so I have no idea what sold/what didn't sell, how much/if anything I have to pick up, and have much $$$ I made/so I can spend about the same amount, if anything was stolen/damaged 6. Did not notify consignors that she "had technical issues" with posting sales until Saturday, which is 4 days after I dropped my items off and the 3rd day of sales. Why weren't we notified sooner? This is an amazing event. I participated as a consignor and also attended the event for purchasing items. I found amazing deals on kids toys that were all in excellent condition. The event was very well organized, it was easier to find items than in most retail stores. I highly recommend this event for those expecting their first child, you can find almost all your baby needs at more than 50% of retail prices. read more

i attended the springtime event as a vendor, with no intent to actually shop. i don't know what i was originally thinking because i found a lot of great deals (like 12 awesome books for $6, and super cute almost new shoes). it's such a great event for those looking for great deals on things that are almost-new to gently-used. as a new parent, you want everything to be new and then you realize how quickly newness is not as important, especially since they outgrow clothes and often loose interest in toys rather quickly! what a GREAT way to save money and find some super deals. on the flip side, what a great way to be eco-friendly and "recycle" some of your own baby things that are still in great condition. read more

I attended the first event in May 2011 as a volunteer and consignor. I thought is was a great sale! I couldn't believe how organized and well managed it was. They really had great deals on baby and kids things. And I was really happy with the money that I made selling some furniture and baby equipment. It was easy to sell your stuff and fun to shop! This is an awesome sale! I consigned, volunteered, and shopped during the May sale. Consigning was easier than expected and well worth it, volunteering was easy and fun, and I found many great deals while shopping. I was amazed to find such quality items for excellent prices. I'm already holding off on buying and selling items in anticipation for the next sale. It's definitely worth checking out! read more
