The first red flag was that you **cannot actually speak with the dental office when you call--you are directed to a call center.** The call center also could not give me clear pricing for services. I was told that I would need to come into the office for a consultation before they could tell me what I needed or what anything would cost. I was also told that the consultation and X-rays would be free if I signed up for the Sage Care plan. Otherwise, I would have to pay for them. My primary reason for going was very simple: **I wanted a regular dental cleaning.** Once I was there, the dentist explained that they couldn't tell me what I needed without doing the consultation. When I questioned the lack of pricing transparency, the dentist told me, **"No one gives prices over the phone."** I found that statement very frustrating because it is simply not my experience with other dental offices. Many dental offices are able to provide at least basic pricing or estimates over the phone for routine services. I then asked a very straightforward question: If I came in wanting a regular cleaning, but the dentist determined that I needed a more extensive/deep type cleaning, could I decline that service and simply pay for and receive the regular cleaning I requested? **The answer was NO.** That was a deal breaker for me. The entire experience felt like an **upselling process**, with very little transparency about what I would actually be paying. I was being asked to commit to a consultation and X-rays before I could get straightforward answers about the cost of the services I was actually interested in. When I said, *"I don't think this is a good fit for me,"* the dentist simply replied, *"That's fine,"* and walked out. I found that response extremely rude and unprofessional. They took care of our paperwork, dental history, and had no issues with our insurance (which some offices usually have trouble with.) I really liked our hygienist, and Dr. Tran was also very friendly and knowledgeable. My teeth are usually very sensitive, so I told them that, and they definitely took it into consideration, and were extra gentle on me. My mom also doesn't speak much English, but she was able to communicate with the dentist in Vietnamese! The office is also brand new, and sparkling clean. Dr. Feldman was the right man to do my extraction as it was not an easy one. He has many years behind him and is clearly an expert in his field. He is so personal and caring and has a wonderful and professional staff. He gave me his personal phone numbers in case I had any problems and called me himself the night of the extraction. I can't say enough how I appreciated that! My experience was great! I highly recommend Dr. Feldman and his office staff.
