Of course they magically had an opening to do the prep that same visit, but not for a cleaning. $$$ for the work vs $ for the cleaning. They act like they are doing you a favor. On top of that they do ridiculous tests and x-rays that are not covered by insurance. For my child's visit: $115 for fluoride $46 for oral hygiene instructions $129 for a saliva sample (wtf?) $400 x-rays that are not covered And for the wisdom teeth to come out even though there are no roots and they are not affecting her teeth. If you still choose to go after reading this- get a second opinion. Another corporate practice just looking for money.

They DID NOT do that at all at Lighthouse Dental. Dr. Cassandra was very straight forward and honest about my needs, and made me feel comfortable about whatever I decided. Anyway, I was greeted by a young girl who had a septum ring? (Just off the charts unprofessional in every single way possible) that look is for Baristas only. I asked her if they were taking new patients? The answer was yes! Can I see your insurance card? My insurance is through a California company I work for..couldn't find the right card. Anyway, I asked if I could pay cash? Was told it's $380 for a cleaning. Then I was referred to the annual practice insurance that provides two cleanings for $300. Very confused communication if you ask me. I then proceeded to ask for an appointment at the end of October? Was told there are no appointments then but there is an appointment for this Wednesday. Wow! I cannot account this Wednesday are there other dates? Her answer was not until March of 2027? So I guess you're not actually taking new patients at all. Unless there's a cancellation. That's a business model flaw and leads me to believe that you're just a number to them. A hard pass on this practice! The state of an American dentistry is definitely going down.

Usually people do not say that they had a great time at the dentist, but I had a blast. The staff....each and every one of them were just very down-to-earth and kind. Not a frown in the office. I only waited for about 10 mins after checking in. The lobby was immaculate and smelled wonderful. Oh, what I loved too was that you park and the door is right there. No hunting for the location and wandering around like a mad person in this heat. It was very easy to get to. So anyway.... I was taken back to the room, which was not closed off yet private enough that I did not feel the whole office was looking in my mouth. His assistant (Orianna...I remember the Anna part..sorry girl) asked me what brought me in and I explained all of my concerns. She made me feel comfortable with being really honest with her about my issues. She took x-rays and was super conversational in the process which continued to help calm my jitters. The doctor came in and ran a thorough review of my mouth and my x-rays. All I know is, the last dentist I visited was not as detailed with a game plan on how to get me back to 100%. He broke everything down in layman's terms. I was able to understand the what and the why to get us to a final outcome that we both would be happy with.
