Been coming to this dentist for about 3 years. They're very incompetent and very aggressive. Feels like I have seen a different dentist every time I've been there. Told them I was in serious pain after some dental work and Funyak told me I was brushing too hard and not leaving the toothpaste on my teeth long enough. Called again and explained that ridiculous solution didn't work and they didn't care. Now I need a root canal. I wasn't in any pain before going there. This place is a $$$ business $$$ read more

Dr. Guerra is simply the best. The level of expertise is top notch but his personality is off the charts. I've recently switched dentists after seeing Dr. Alex for over 10 years. He retired during Covid and the recommended office was too far away from me. Dr. G at Jupiter Dental Care and the hygienists I have seen are great. They are very welcoming and helpful. I was in Florida visiting family and had a dental emergency. Jupiter Dental Care had me come in at 7:00 am the next morning and they were fabulous. They have great Covid protocols (only one person in the lobby at the same time) and everyone was wearing their masks properly. I saw Dr. Guerra and he could have not been kinder. The hygienist was equally nice and both provided amazing service. I highly recommend this practice! read more

All was fine the first time I had to have a tooth extracted. I saw the dentist who told me my tooth was cracked and needed to be removed. The procedure was done and all was well. A few months later I had pain in another tooth. Again, I saw the dentist and she recommended a root canal, which I subsequently had done in their office. I was in pain and had to call for a prescription while away on vacation. When I returned supposedly to have the tooth "taken care of" post root canal, I was shot up with novacaine and left for it to "take effect." Lo and behold the dentist comes in and says that she cannot do anything on that tooth, it needs to be extracted. So I return home, numb for hours, with nothing having been done. I return for the extraction, during which a piece of tooth was going down my throat and choking me, and leave afterwards. I subsequently changed dentists and was shown that there are still two pieces of the roots of the extracted tooth in my mouth! It is unknown whether or not they will eventually break through. I have also been attempting to get a reund for the unnecessary root canal which I have been told will be forthcoming and I should "be patient!" Needless to say I am neither patient nor A patient of this office any longer! Buyer beware! read more

Jupiter Dental is the best! They are always courteous and respectful. Debbie has been doing my cleanings for years and does an excellent job. Dr Guerra is awesome - he recently did a crown that was painless and I can't even feel which tooth it was! DO NOT HAVE HIM MAKE YOU A CROWN. Made me a poorly fit crown with large margins/gaps that caused the tooth to decay within 2 years. Had to have tooth pulled and bridge made. New dentist said due to poorly fit crown. He didn't even have the guts to respond to my letter to him regarding this. Has cost me an arm and a leg with all this additional work due to his incompetence. Will be filing a malpractice suit. read more

Absolutely horrible unprofessional customer service from MELISSA at the front office to the office manager and Dentist that won't even get on the phone to address valid complaints from a patient. Had a crown put on 2+ years ago by them I specifically remember the air/mood in the office being somewhat negative in the front area. Within a week of having my crown put on I had pain and something felt wrong. I called they got me right in and fixed what they must have not done right in the first place ,for no charge of course. I just had that same crown fall off two days ago biting into a soft piece of cake , called up spoke to a nice woman , not MELISSA and after being told there would be a charge to fix I asked to look to see about my follow up visit from over two years ago , when it was not properly placed on. They have no record of it which is either BS or sloppy record keeping. I asked to speak to the manager was told to hold MELISSA got on the phone I asked if she was a manager she said no and I said but I asked for a manager she brags about how long she's been there so apparently that makes her management? She said there is no record of that follow up visit which is outrageous she then said I haven't followed up on my crown with them in four years. I have not even been a Florida resident for four years.... My point is even if I am legitimately responsible to pay to fix this I asked for a manager to ask why there's no record and lovely MELISSA said she will not speak to me a.k.a. the manager I have never heard of anything like this in 40+ years of my life from any professional doctor or dentist. Melissa said in an almost teenage like tantrum voice over the phone are you saying I don't do my job because I was here that day. I responded saying are you saying I am crazy making up the story of my follow up visit and I was obviously annoyed it showed in my voice so Melissa started to apparently say this was harassment since I just kept asking to speak to a manager. And my tone got unfriendly. I'm human. I say grow up this is a business she said the manager or dentist will not call you back or see you despite repeatedly asking for her to just take my phone number down to have them call back and then she hung up on me because I had an attitude so this was obviously personal in MELISSA's mind because it didn't take long for her to have a really bad attitude on that phone call that's why she should not play pretend manager. I called back after being hung up on a number of times because each time MELISSA would answer talk quickly over me and quickly hung up the phone now for 2+ days I have an expose open tooth with a crown off as no other dentist have any openings that I've called until next week which can cause more health and or higher cost to fix. I also said I would come to the office the next day to speak to the manager in person and Melissa said I will call the police on you .I've never seen anything so outrageous in my life. yes MELISSA had a bad day or a bad life so anyway I have a lawyer I spoke to about this and I've never sued anyone in my life. Since I am in pain since Thursday I will be over this weekend felt I was harassed by her in that office I also say if her manager and head dentist decided they would not even call an upset patient back the problem is bigger than immature Melissa. If I keep having pain or more damage caused by the delay of Jupiter dental care not seeing me on Thursday because they were going to see me before MELISSA got on the phone-- if I have to go to another dentist with a bigger bill because of the delay I'm suing this practice for whatever I possibly can. Stay away it's impossible to think I'm the only patient that could ever have a problem there and also remember I read other negative reviews about them on Google today. They have quite a few responses to bad reviews saying we have never seen this patient. Seems coincidental that they have no records of certain patients like they have no record of my follow up visit to fix the crown being improperly put on the first time , and also please remember if they do respond to this review it will be their version, as no business will admit that they stink. read more

Absolutely the worst experience ever. Recently moved and was sad to replace my dentist back home of 25 years who was amazing. Hygienist smelled like stale smoke. She picked away manually then used the Cavitron machine which made no sense since the machine does most of the work if used first. She then began to poke at every part of my gum behind each tooth. Halfway through I told her she was hurting me and she huffed and asked if anyone had ever checked me for bone loss (which I have had no issues with). I said no and she acted surprised but stopped. When the dentist came in he said nothing related to what the hygienist did with regard to her checking for bone loss. He then recommended two crowns on teeth I have had no problems with for over ten years. Hmmm. After he got up I was taken to the front desk and presented with a $1900 "treatment plan" for crowns with my insurance paying half. Then I was asked if I wanted to set up the appointments for the plan. Funny, the sheet my plan was on was a check box of the most expensive procedures available. I politely declined. The kicker came when I was asked to pay $23 for "varnish" which is a q tip swap on one tooth of a desensitizing liquid. Outrageous, I have never ever been charged for that before. To me, it was just a pump and grind practice. They just wanted to sell me things that my other respected dentist never recommended. The hygienist was not nice and the cleaning was painful which has never happened to me before. I won't be back and I do not recommend others go there. read more

The dentist was nice enough the charges were going to be 2x the price I paid at my usual dentist in delray. When I decided to not have one of the services I was then told my X-ray May indicate a CANCEROUS Lesion and needed another X-ray for 150 to diagnose of course I spent the money and then told it was nothing. I went to this place for a simple cleaning had an appointment no problem and when I got there I was told that in order for them to clean my teeth they need to take X-rays I said I don't want to take an x-ray because I've had so many recently just as well I can't help you unless you take X-rays I cannot clean your teeth so I had them do the x-rays before she started I told her my teeth are very sensitive and that's why I normally don't go to the dentist she says don't worry I'll take care of everything first I'm going to numb your gums a little bit and if that doesn't work I'm going to use this other thing that will help. make a long story short I sat in that chair for 20 minutes I must have jumped about 15 times every time she hurt me I choked twice on excess water that was running down my throat twice she was cold and inconsiderate and said you shouldn't be choking there's no water in there make a long story short when we were done I simply ripped off the bib and told her what I thought and walked out nobody stop me nobody called nobody said anything to me to see if I was okay if you enjoy pain. Or you want to get ripped off. Or if you want to be disrespected. This is the place to go read more

Good dentist who only does the work that is necessary (unlike some of the dentists in Jupiter).

As far as going to the dentist goes, I am not a fan!!! This dental office however has made me really comfortable with the regular dental check ups and some routine fillings. The girl Brook who works at the front door is really nice. They always confirm your appts with you and make sure your aware of the appt you booked 6 months ago. They area reasonably priced. They have a nice bathroom too!! It helps you to make your more relaxed its decorated with a Tommy-Bahama feel, everything in south Florida feels like Tommy Bahama!! Were on a permanent vacation down here you know!! Anyway back to the service, Dr Parella is a younger man who is quick and sufficient when providing you with dental services. They are always asking me how my kids are doing and even have looked after the youngest one at the front while i got my teeth cleaned!! I love this practice and have recommended 5+ people here, they have all had great results too and felt the same way I do. read more

The front desk is great with making appointments that work with our schedule and the notes to get back to school. The dental assistants are friendly and make my boys feel at ease. My wife needed a cleaning and regular check-up. When we entered the office I explained to the receptionist that my wife does not speak perfect English, and she would be more comfortable if I could accompany her and help translate if needed. They said OK, no problem. I asked specifically " what will the charges for today be? " They clearly told me "no charge, your insurance covers everything" I went back and sat just outside the door while they performed the cleaning. The technician mentioned that my wife would need to come back for further cleaning, and we said ok. No mention of extra charges were discussed. When we went to leave, they asked me for $65.00. I explained that we asked before the appointment and we were told no charge, but they refused to accept this. I am now getting threatening letters in the mail from them. I would not go back here or recommend anyone I care about to go here. I am considering legal action based on the deceitful tactics they are employing. The dollar amount is not the issue, it is the principal of honest business. read more
