Wasn't expecting this random pizza inside the bar to be so good? Great balance of flavors and made fresh + ran to you in the middle of a busy bar

This bar was such a chill vibe! The moment you walk in you just know it's going to be a good time. The slushies were really good. Perfect amount of alcohol. The pinball machines were so fun! They also have Street Fighter and PAC Man for all you 90s kids Check this place out if you are ever in Seattle and looking for a chill place to drink brew and have fun.

It's your standard pinball machine bar in Seattle! I got one of their punches that tasted exactly like those heart lollipops we used to get as kids for Valentine's Day, which means the cherry flavor tasted a little artificial but it was solid nonetheless. The bartender was very efficient, pumping out drinks and keeping things going. It's very loud in there, and there's a corner for drunk karaoke which is always entertaining.

Ambience was amazing The slushie cocktail (pineapple watermelon Bay breeze ) was amazing Also had the 3 for $6 pizza rolls with marinara sauce pretty good but nothing to fave about

I didn't go here expecting to write a Yelp review about it, but I haven't been out much recently, so I can only share a few details that popped from that night. I went bar hopping for the first time in years, and this is the only bar I really remember. When we entered, there was a room with karaoke on the left, and a bar to the right. The drinks and service were alright, but not special. But you know what was special? The arcade games. Behind the bar seating area, you walk down a little hall and BOOM- a huge room filled with the familiar sounds from childhood of triumph, or failure, as bright screens announced whether you won or lost this round, so, "do you want to insert coins to play again?" I'm not a big gamer but with so much available, and the contagious excitement, I had to join in. The vibe was lively, there was cool art on the walls- I just had a really good time. This is a fun place to go with a group on a Friday night.

Honestly the best bar I've been to. They have street fighter, teenage mutant ninja turtles and a Photo Booth. Everything I need and want :) Next time we will have to try the pizza! We went on Halloween night 2024 and vibes were awesome. It's a bar so of course there will be a few drunk idiots and bartenders with attitude. We had a fun time here and the bartenders know how to make a drink they def do nottt skimp on the alcohol lol ;) I would definitely recommend and return!!!

Heard good things about Jupiter/Good Shape pizza and certainly did not disappoint! Went on a Wednesday evening- it was not packed at all, chill vibes and friendly folks at the counter. Sweet n spicy pizza was top tier with loads of cuppy pepperoni and hot honey. It's definitely a personal sized pizza, about the size of a paper plate. While they had lots of pinball machines, our favorite game to play was digital Pong. They have a few cash machines around to exchange for quarters.

Such a fun nostalgic arcade full of 1990s games. Super fun to go back to my childhood and play ninja turtles, pin ball and other fun games. On the negative, there was a bar but it wasn't open when we were there and there was an unpleasant smell, which reminded me of a frat house. But maybe that is part of the nostalgia for some!

I came around 10pm on Saturday and it wasn't crowded until after 11. We ordered the raspberry slushie, pinball punch, and a few vodka shots. The slushie and punch were strong! Raspberry slushie: well-blended, doesn't melt fast, good raspberry flavor and alcohol mix Pinball punch: the cherry vodka was very strong, maybe even overpowering. You could compare it to cherry syrupy medicine. I could barely taste the pineapple juice in it. There's many games and a Photo Booth that prints 2 strips for $5, which is a better price than other bars around here that charge $7-10 for 2. The Photo Booth also lets you customizes the background and theme (black & white, valentines, aquarium, etc).

Jupiter bar is nostalgic AF. Friends took me here before and I was excited we ran into it while in Belltown during our visit. We had such a great time that we came back twice! The beers are cheap! Games are cheap! The bartender was cool. I've had nothing but the best times for $5 every time I've come to Jupiter.

I think this is a cool bar and the bar tenders were fine but need to complain because they let a large dog in the main bar area. The bar is not big in the front and when I moved to order a drink the dogs leg was under the bar area (it's dark). So I accidentally stepped on it (briefly) and the dog attacked me and ripped part of my shirt. I got lucky I didn't leave with an injury. I didn't even get a beer comped and the owners and the dog ditched fast. Hey - it's a crowded bar - letting big dogs to the main area is probably not a good idea... there are plenty of breweries and bigger outdoor areas that let dogs in but it's 10 pm... not a good judgement call

Excellent Belltown bar. Plenty of space, good bartender ratio, and clean-ish bathrooms. But the taco bar! Awesome! Not even by drunk food standards, her tacos are crispy and excellent. Careful there are toothpicks that hold them all together. There are 15 signs that tell you so. Excellent to down with cold beer.

Time without number I've found myself here, be that first dates, my birthday, or New Year's Eve, and it always feels like home. If home were a clown/carnival themed acid trip of a pinball arcade bar, that is. And what's not to love about that? The bar tenders here are cool and friendly people who pour drinks with a heavy hand, and understand the mission: get the patrons who want to be drunk, drunk. The first few times I visited, I felt a leeriness about ordering food. But once I got over myself, I kinda fell in love with the menu, and I've probably eaten everything on it (including the clam chowder). Their hot dogs are wonders to behold, utter symphonies for the senses, and I refuse to visit Shorty's without getting one. Best dog in Seattle? Why yes. I think so. To paraphrase one reviewer: "Take your date here. If she doesn't like it, she's lame and you shouldn't waste your time with her anyways." Shorty's is the bomb.

That's not something paying customers want to hear. I ended up ordering a drink for myself while the guys were looking at the menu because they were doing a food hop, and us girls were doing a bar hop. During that time, the bartender came back to our table at least four times within about five minutes. Instead of being attentive, it felt pushy and aggressive, especially since they were still deciding what they wanted. I've been here a few times before, but after this experience, this will definitely be my last visit.

Came here for a date after passing it numerous times bumping around downtown…read more I've always pegged this place as sort of a more local Dave & Busters and it sort of is on a smaller scale. Food, drinks and of course a bunch of games to play. Difference here is they seem to host ESports and other games beyond arcade games which is cool. This particular visit was kind of like a Classic play some games and laugh along the way rather than expect to find gem games of days gone by or even present. There is a good assortment of light gun, classic fighters and of course DDR which they were real generous with - 6 credits on a swipe which is like 9 song/sets! There is a bar but it's kind of basic compared to the afformentioned Dave & Busters, which makes that part of their identity. Also the person selling me the game card was fast on talk, and slow on the explanation of how things work which could've been better. It was nearing close so I wasn't going go through the whole rundown. Fun time here if you're looking for something to do in the area, but a Barcade or Dave & Busters will do the job all the same.

I hadn't been to GameWorks for a couple of decades when I went last week for a relative's birthday…read more He is really into video games and enjoyed Dance Dance Revolution (DDR) along with the driving games where you can race against your friends/family members. So, I am glad he had a good time. But I don't think I will go back to GameWorks in the future, even for special events. First, the loud noise and flashing lights made me feel like I was in a casino for kids. Something creepy about the vibe there. Second, there was no real air conditioning on a hot summer day, just these mobile a/c fans that blew cold air and were quite loud, adding to an already noisy place. Third, the games were very expensive. You have to buy a card for game credits and swipe that card whenever you play a game. We calculated later that it was cost us $1.60-2.30 PER GAME. That is including vintage games like Frogger and Ms. Pacman and other games like Operation, Skeeball, and driving games that only give you one life. Growing up in the 70s and 80s, I went to A LOT of arcades as a kid and teen. I don't expect places to be like the arcades I went to back then, but I do expect a fair and decent exchange for my money for the experience of playing a video game. Three lives/tries per fee is a fair exchange. GameWorks is nothing like that, and for that reason, along with others I've given here, I won't be back.

Breaking up the events into buildings in the surrounding area was a bit confusing, even with the map and the event staff giving direction. Pax East everything is under one roof, so this took some getting used to. The check in process was very organized and impressive, hats off and thanks to the staff who process a few thousand people, some of whom I know volunteer. Went to panel, played some games in free play and of course hit the main floor to try out some up and coming AAA games as well some indie games. Bought and picked up some swag, you know, the usual at these conventions. After years of not going, it was nice get back into it and would definitely consider going again next year. If you're into games even in a small capacity, get a day pass and have some fun!

Dang, did I pick an unideal time to finally put in a review for this annual gaming convention I've…read moreonly been going to since 2017, because I would have had a lot more good things to say about it. Now it sounds like I'm gonna be comparing everything from past years, which is inevitable to do especially among me and my peers who've come here longer than I have. To start off, this review is for 2026 from September 4-7, and I only went Friday and Monday this year due to Bumbershoot on Saturday and Sunday. As with every PAX I go to, panels and events are the least of my interests; most of my thoughts go for the logistics, vendors, and already in-your-face games that are set out in front of everyone at both the Arch and Summit buildings where the convention is split between. The general layout for this year's PAX was the same as last years; the Expo hall is all in the Arch building, and includes many vendors showcasing indie games and art. The Summit building has tabletop games, BYOC setups, game-related merch and tons of auditoriums and rooms with many different events with set times for each. I don't follow most events though I did get to do drag bingo, hear a master pianist play game music (like the end credits for Super Mario 64 and Mario Kart 64), and spend a ridiculous amount of time playing Groove Coaster at the arcades set up by 100 Yen Life or gamecenter. The map included in the event brochure did not have any layout information on booths for the Summit building, and legends were hard to read for the more detailed maps for the Arch building and all its floors. Gaming wise, the biggest games I got to play were Among Us Story: On Guard, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 and Hello Kitty Party Land. Other releases like Stranger Than Heaven, Persona 4 Revival and Castlevania had long, capped lines that were impossible to get to given how easily time constraints form when a convention has so many things going on at once. Even worse is the lack of strong phone signal in the Arch building, and slightly better but still hindered signal in the Summit building, though that's a very common sentiment for the Seattle Convention Center during any large convention like this one. Compared to other years, this convention is a huge step up from its iteration when we all just recovered from the pandemic, but a massive population downgrade from last year's. I could feel that while walking around, and it feels mostly due to the lack of really large and hyped up games to look forward to, especially from Nintendo which was notably absent this year except for the booth showcasing the new mobile game Pikmin Bloom. I always have to question every year whether I'm gonna come back to PAX, and I have skipped some years as a result. That same thought still holds today as of this writing, and I've only noticed a downhill trend year after year. At this point, I only go for the company I go with, not the events or thrills that this convention promises but hasn't been delivering consistently.

They also allow you to book all 12 lanes for a private event. All of the prices are on their website and they were all pretty reasonable. They also have discounts for faculty, staff, and students. We played three games with two pairs of shoe rentals and the total came out to be about $30 with a UW staff discount.
