However, special shoutout to our server Lily. It was her first day! You would have no idea, she was great!! Servers are always friendly and offer suggestions. Food is flavorful, I especially love Jalepeno Roll, which is sushi with a cream cheese stuffed Jalapeño. I was also pleasantly surprised at the lobster mash potato! Creamy and cheesy! Our waiter couldn't tell us the ingredients of the bouillabaisse (we have shrimp allergy) said the only person who knew wasn't there and the person in the kitchen was Spanish and didn't speak much English! My sea bass was over cooked and didn't come with the risotto because it was sold out at lunch. The only substitute was a mound of plain rice. Then halfway through our meal he asked if we were planning on having dessert! He was obviously anxious to get out of there. Bad experience and we won't be returning! I'm always asked where the best place to go for sushi in Parker. And my answer year after year is the same: Junz sushi. I love supporting small businesses and restaurants. This family ran sushi restaurant has always left me coming back for me. I love the quiet atmosphere where the staff knows my order because I'm their regular. They truly know how to make their diners feels special. I go during their lunch hours more than their dinner. I order the same thing Everytime. Lunch Deluxe B which is their sushi lunch. You get a variety of fresh nigiri that's plump and decent, a California roll where knew bite is a full mouthful. The giant plate also includes a salad with home made Japanese dressing, full portion shrimp and vegetables Tempera, and their steamed Asian style vegetable. Majority of the time, I take half of it home to enjoy later. If you have yet to try their Hamachi-kama, I recommend trying it. If you love yellow tail fish, this is the perfect starter for you. I also love their green muscles!. Junz is a gem, comparable in quality and authenticity to sushi restaurants on the west and east coasts. This is the only restaurant place in Parker where I would have Uni, let's just say that. I'm not a big fan of the modern sugary rolls, just the real stuff. Junz is run by actual Japanese people with a chef trained in France. The sushi is always spot on and the techniques they use is correct. Also they use actual crab in the California rolls (for my kiddo) not the reformulated fish stuff. Thank goodness for Junz. I've been wanting to try this place for a while now and had an afternoon available to grab lunch. They weren't too busy and was able to sit immediately at the sushi bar. I always request Junz for my Birthday dinner and it's easy to know why! Their lobster tempura appetizer is to die for and my mom and I both order our own separate plates of it to feast on its golden goodness. For rolls, I highly recommend the Volcano Roll. The fried gyoza is really good and so are the artichoke prosciutto wraps. The sushi was really good and they made it surprisingly fast for how much we ordered. The service is splendid and our server was so sweet. I believe she is the sister of the owner but she ran that place better than ever! I'm so incredibly impressed by the consistent quality of the sushi at Junz! I've been going here for 4.5 years and it's the most delicious sushi I've ever had. My boyfriend is a pilot and has eaten sushi all around the world and swears by Junz as "the best sushi ever"! He won't eat it any where else now! The sushi is always so fresh, fairly priced and they aren't afraid to serve generous portions of fish. They also have a nice assortment of daily specials! The service is great too! We get greeted and seated immediately and the wait staff is always attentive and friendly. It has an inviting ambience too with a large open seating area and a sushi bar that wraps all the way around the kitchen area for plenty of room to watch the skilled sushi chefs work their magic! Junz is a quaint spot that my boyfriend and I tried for the first time when we wanted sushi. Even on a Friday night, we were able to seat without a wait, although it was crowded so we might have lucked out! We really liked the hand rolls. They were larger than what we were used to seeing but the chef used a heavy hand when deciding how much meat to include. I personally tried the Philadelphia, Crunch, and Spicy Tuna Rolls. Since coming to Junz for the first time last August, this restaurant has sort of gone down hill IMO. The food is fine, but nothing to ride home about and... It is expensive compared to other sushi spots near by. A Naruto roll for $19.50, when I can get it somewhere else for AT MAX, $12?! Yeah, going to go with another place... Also, the Naruto roll here at Junz is just sort of bland and boring, nothing special at all. Also, the salmon skin Handrolls were FINE but again, nothing to get too excited over and the portion is small. The people that work there are absolutely incredible wonderful to sit at the sushi bar and speak with them the food is great the only thing I find about it that is giving it a four instead of a five as it is extremely over priced. Honestly moneywise you are getting a way better deal if you go to Yutaka which is on 20 mile about a mile away however again I do want to say that the people that work there Make it worth going back which is why we do they listen and they make you exactly what you want and we really appreciate that so thank you guys read more

We went to Junz since we evenheard about from out of towners that it was closest to the real Japanese cuisine. We went for lunch and had the tonkatsu plate and sushi. The pork cutlet was very flavorful and well done. The sliced cabbage or potato salad was missing as sides. The sushi was excellent. Me and my husband went there for a dinner . I had udon noodles and my husband had lamb . We also shared spicy tuna roll . Let me say that tuna roll was really good . But our dishes were awful , no seasoning at all , cold potatoes , my chicken in the noodles tased like it was microwaved 10 times . Noodles way overcooked and slimy. Lamb no flavor at all . Blend . Told my server that I really don't like my dish . I wasn't offered anything instead he just took my plate away. My check arrived little bit after with noodles still on my check . He wasn't interested in my opinion about food at all ( never want free food , Im a restaurant employee myself ) Today my server made me feel like I m looking just for a free meal . Zoey was our server, and she was incredible, very attentive, and took care of our order quickly and efficiently I had a lemon drop martini and my husband had a beer, we ordered dinner. I had the Seabass and he had the pork. My Seabass was delicious and his pork was outstanding. When I mentioned to zoey that it was my birthday, she gave us a free dessert to take home. My cousin works here so I might be slightly influenced, but Junz is a pretty interesting fusion (Japanese & French!?!) restaurant and according to him, a lot of hot chicks dine here at night (lol). We met the owner that night and he seemed really breezy, gave us free drinks and appetizers. My cousin still ordered a lot though; the boys enjoyed the "Japanese Style Chicken Wings with Ginger Soy Marinade" a lot, us girls thought they were just OK. We didn't like large wings, prefer them smaller. Then there was this Tuna salad app on mashed avocados, with some artichokes, the tuna was definitely raw. Not my cup of tea but it had a very nice presentation. Fried Calamari and Fried Shrimps were both tasty but not that different from each other. I made sure I got my Yellowtail Collar, as always, such a dish never disappoints! The chef also whipped up some so called "New Style Salmon Sashimi" for our table, so it's not just sliced raw fish, more like a fish version of Beef Tataki. But it still failed to turn me into a sashimi lover. Then our jaws almost dropped when we saw two big plates of sushi, can't even recall what they were but we thought we were getting full with the appetizers already. Anyway, sushi was good, but a lot of them were spicy, guess that's what customers prefer nowadays... Ready for the main course? Cuz ordered both steak dishes (Rib-Eye Steak and Filet Mignon), both were just OK. The boys again seemed to enjoy the crab mashed potatoes, but I thought they were on the watery side. For us girls, he picked Chilean Sea Bass (on Risotto) and Sword Fish (on Lobster Cream Fettuccini), both were very very good. One thing we all unanimously loved was the mushroom sauce on top of our steaks and fish, it really transformed the meat. My Sea Bass was a thick cut that's golden fried yet very juicy inside, you just can't get enough of it! Cousin told me the secret, orang-y sauce was a reduction of boiling a lot of fish bones, and to the owner, it's like little drops of gold, so precious (and so delicious) that he doesn't usually grant second helpings. The sauce definitely peaked the taste of the fish. I was surprised how well the fish paired with Risotto. Would love to come back and try more dishes on the account that Cuz doesn't order too much food, just enough so we could savor it all! read more

Today, Saturday May 02nd 2009, 8 friends and I attended our 4th Meetup for a dinner galore. 1 week before this date, I have made a reservation for us to attend our dinner here in JUNZ. This afternoon before I left home, I received a call from JUNZ to reconfirm our status for the reservation. I was there as early as 17:35hrs to be greeted, and were shown directly to where the whole party to be seated. Man, this place is indeed jam-packed with other patrons alike, having early dinner or those who lives in Parker to indulge on what JUNZ has to offer. By the time of 18:00hrs all of my friends came and we decide to order by 18:15hrs. This is based on my very first visit. For this evening I ordered these: * Baked Green Mussels * Chicken Yakitori * Fried Calamari * Amaebi * Unagi * Uni * Hotategai ~ sliced scallops * Ikamentai ~ Squid and Spicy Cod Though I am not WOW with the sushi that they have, at least my friends like the appetizers and entrees that they order. I like the Baked Green Mussels though I feel the Chicken Yakitori and the Fried Calamari are OK for my taste bud. From what I can recall, my friends ordered these from JUNZ: * Pepper Shrimp * Chilean Sea Bass * JUNZ Roll * Scallop Roll (Tempura) * Tuna Poke * Duck Ceviche * Crunch Roll * Pasta Fruit De Mer * Dessert ~ Lychee Serbet At least the appetizers and sushi came out fast following with the main entrees. Service is prompt, friendly and welcoming. They do provide separate checks for our group. This is 2 thumbs up for our group. Most of my friends rate their meals between 3.5 to 4 stars. I ended my meal with mango mochi. All in all my experience at JUNZ is between 3.5 to 4 stars. I would return in the future when I am in the vicinity to try out the dishes that I did not. I recently connected with my cousin who I hadn't seen in probably 60 years. He's from out of state and came to town to visit his daughter and her friend who live in Denver. My wife and I hadn't been to Junz for quite awhile so I suggested we go there for dinner one night. It's one of my favorite places to take my out of town guests and to recommend to my friends. My cousin's daughter know sushi a lot better than my wife and I, so we asked them to order. They came up with several choices we had never tried before and they were delicious. My cousin, not a big sushi fan, had tempura which he also liked, but also tried some of the sushi and he surprisingly like that as well. Zoe was our server. Very nice and attentive. This was okay. I got some standard rolls (not special) like tuna, California. The fish was fresh and very well portioned but the flavor was lacking. Really good raw tuna has a distinct flavor and this one, the mouth-feel was right but it tasted refrigerated if that makes sense. California was good - dry and full flakes rather than the smothered in sauce kind. I don't know why I'm being so specific... maybe I shouldn't be so hard on them. A couple things knock this down a star - I was never told the price; Not when I ordered my to go order over the phone nor when I handed over my card at the counter.
