And I prefer that to over salted food which is more common with meal kits. Veggies were cooked perfectly. There was a good amount of protein with each meal. Some things that can be improved: - ability to swap carbs for more veggies for those who are paleo/low carb - confirmation email or text after ordering. When my driver texted me that he was showing up, I had no idea who he was bc I had ordered the food 5 days before and completely forgot about it! - a printed menu included with the meal kits to remind us what we are eating Overall, I would recommend. Food delivered on Monday was still fresh and tasty on Friday.

I was looking to start again now in 2026, hoping the reviews would be better but appears there are the same issues as before. This was such a GREAT service, and living on mainland, i had access to ALL the services. I STILL considered this one of the best. Wondering how this company has fallen so far.

Very poor / slow customer service…read more My first order was delivered with no proteins (supposed to have steak, pork, and shrimp ... all I received was vegetables and meal cards / recipes.) There is no phone number to call, so I emailed them, and emailed again a couple of days later, and again a couple of days later. I did eventually hear back and was given a $30 dollar coupon for another order. Essentially I paid nearly $70 for about $25 worth of vegetables (for me to buy the missing proteins was almost $45). I did place a second order with the coupon and no issues with delivery on the second order. Pros: delivery is convenient, meals are not hard to make, instructions are pretty clear. Cons: POOR customer service, cannot include some meals from the regular menu and some from the gluten free (it is one or the other), meals are not overly flavorful, no cooling packs / ice in the delivery boxes and no effort to place the box in the shade on my porch (box was left in direct sun and was very warm when I got home -- likely effected quality of the vegetables)

On top of the food being absolutely delicious and super fresh, the woman who runs it is incredibly sweet and thoughtful. She's always kind and welcoming every time I pick up my meals, and it's clear she puts so much love and care into her business. I'm so grateful that this company exists. I knew I wanted to order food from them the next time I had a need to cater. I saw on their Instagram that they also do bentos. Up comes my daughter's birthday party and the need for bentos. Bingo! First call is to Pololi 'Oe. Actually, I emailed, I didn't call. I worked with Carlton via email. He was able to work within my budget and suggest a menu and I was able to give feedback until we agreed on a menu and pricing. Adult and kids bentos: rice, fried noodles, guava chicken, teri beef Adult bentos then added fried fish Kids bentos added shoyu hot dog Each bento had a small handful of soybeans. Just the right touch to add a pupu and a pop of color. This helped it really stand out! Unlike some bentos you order that are full of rice, this bento was packed with food and in perfect proportions. I love their noodles. They use the skinnier chow mein noodle and it's not a heavy/oily recipe. It's light and compliments the super flavorful meats really well. I'm a huge noodle lover so this is a high compliment when I like your noodles! LOL! I had a lot of great compliments, several people asked me where the bentos were from. The taste is different from the typical. It taste like food that's made with a lot of care. I was able to meet Carlton near where he works out of so he was able to waive the delivery charge listed on his website. Please call/email them to work something out, you won't be disappointed. Carlton packed my bentos in a cooler so I could keep them warm until the party. This is aloha... when you allow a first time customer with a small order to take your cooler. Both times when I picked up the bentos and when I dropped off the cooler, Carlton was punctual to the minute, great service in my book! 5 stars all around for awesome food, service and value!
