We have now been here a small handful of times in the last couple of months, deeming it one of the best places to eat in Central Oahu =). They offer a rotating menu of a couple of special drinks and food items. The fried Chinese style ahi belly is probably my favorite thing on the menu. The kabayaki burger (upgrade to garlic fries) was really tasty and I enjoy the salmon salad. For something different, the pork belly noodles is good though the pork belly needed more flavor. I also enjoyed the spicy local style clams but it definitely needs a ton more bread to soak up all the delicious sauce. Ample free parking outside though it does get crowded so you may need to park a few rows down. Service is always polite.

I was pregnant with my son and would frequent this establishment 3X a week. I always ordered the steak which comes with 2 scoops of rice and side salad. We have recently moved back to Oahu and have reunited with this wonderful establishment. They are now located next to the NEX shoppette and and barber shop on the Pearl side of the base. The price has gone up (let's face it, cost for everything has gone up a lot on this island) but the steak is as ono as I remember it. Don't forget to slather it with the shoyubasco (shoyu mixed with tabasco) for extra flavor. My son constantly asks us to eat here several times a week. LOL! Almost forgot to mention how nice the owners are. We came here one day after picking up kids from half-day school day and owners were already walking to their car in the parking lot. I asked them if they were closed already. The wife was so nice she offered to walk back and open up the shop so we can buy steak. My son was over the moon because he was jonesing for Steak Out like you wouldn't believe. I loved Steak Out before, but after her kind gesture, I love it even more! We are loyal customers for sure!!!

He is priced well for the quality you get. We've tried other places in the past that were over priced and quality was underrated. We had to end up driving to their home in Waipio/Mililani ( we drove all the way from Punchbowl area BTW) to pick it up which we didn't mind at all. Next time we'll remember to order ahead. We met up with Jun's mom on Thanksgiving Day for the pick up. Jun was out on deliveries. She was very sweet and nice. She was very informative on how many Lechon's they can do in a day, their neighborhood and how many years they've been running the family business. I wanted to ask for a little tour but it started to rain and my family was waiting for our lechon and to start our Thanksgiving dinner. LOL! The lechon was packed perfectly for the long rainy drive back to town. My family absolutely enjoyed it and asked where I ordered it from. It was nicely roasted all around, crispy all over! Seasoned perfectly..flavor infused well into the meat. Soooo good!! I will definitely order from Jun again. I will drive there again for pick up if I need to. Local businesses like Jun's Lechon is highly regarded from my family and I was definitely refer him to family and friends who are looking for delicious lechon! Once we turned the corner at the park, the parking lot in front of the restaurant was full. It looked like they had 4-5 parking stalls. So we parked across the way at the beach parking lot, like 10 steps from the restaurant parking lot. Cute! They have tables outside and a take out order window but it's hot and so we went in to enjoy dining in the AC. Cuuute the restaurant! It has a beautiful farmhouse theme and therefore they do have some farm house inspired dishes. For eats, I got the noodles with garlic chicken and that was a massive portion of chicken! Was ono though and so i was happy to have for dinner that evening and lunch and dinner the next day. I did my best to eat a third of my order at the restaurant. The noodles were delicious as well. It didn't come with rice so I'm glad my sister ordered the country fried mahi mahi. I had a taste of the mahi mahi and it does taste like country fried steak batter. And the way they served the fish gave it the country fried steak flare. It was very good. It's fish, so my sister was able to finish her dish. Oh, and Mac salad was good too. Service was AWESOME! There were three other tables being served by the one server but he did an excellent job. When we left, it looked like there were cop cars everywhere. I was a bit timid going out but then I noticed five cops ordering lunch at the take out window. So you know this place is winnahs! I'll be back for sure.
