This was my first time seeing this food trailer in the park. I was eager to try whatever they had because I could see and smell the grill. There is another rib/bbq truck nearby but I prefer the DDR ribs because they are smoked. The other ribs are baked (for those who don't like the smoked flavor). The owner/operator let me know he is in the park Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday around lunch time. I was lucky he wasn't he wasn't busy (Thursday around 1310). Don't expect this to be lowkey for too long. Soldiers and imports love the Southern styled offerings the trailer features. I'll have pictures when I update this review.

We ordered each meat so that we could try it all and it was good to perfection. I would definitely recommend however I personally was not a fan of the smoked mac & cheese. In my opinion. It was just smoked. There wasn't too much flavor in it and the smoke was overwhelming. maybe we just had it on a bad day but I definitely wouldn't mind going back to try it. Again They're extremely good at their craft and the brisket was absolutely beautiful!

Those Crispy Crinkle Fries topped with Shreds of Kalbi were a match made in Heaven. Those Crinkle Fries really stole the show. I absolutely love Crispy Crinkle Fries when they are cooked perfectly. Not only is their Menu amazing but the Local Braddah taking your order is one of the nicest guys around . No matter how busy they get this guy's service and attitude is top notch. Two weeks ago, I saw a group on FB called 808 Best Lunch Wagons, Restaurants & Entertainments that…read moresomeone had posted the menu for Ige's and saw that Wednesday they would have baked spaghetti, my favorite going to school. Wednesday, had the internet fixed in the morning, picked up my cousin at 10:30 and she gave me directions to Ige's because all this time, I didn't know they were still in business. Oops. Ige's is located in the Waimalu area behind Goodwill on Kam Hwy. There's several small businesses back there and all these driveways, you can miss this place easily. On the main driveway, there's a bike path that crosses it, and an old guard shack. After this, you want to take the second driveway on the left. You know you're going down the right path when you see Guieb restaurant on the left, which I also didn't know was here. And drive all the way to the end. Ige's is the very last store on the left. You'll see the lunch line. They are only open for lunch from Tuesdays to Fridays from 9:30 am - 1 pm, so you should plan ahead. The regular menu differs each day and for now, the daily specials have remained unchanged. But to make sure, check out their IG @igesaiea. When you get there, they do have some grab and goes that are not advertised. As far as pricing, they are pretty reasonable, regular plates are between $13 - $16. However, the portions, let's say it's really heavy. My cousin got a mixed plate of chicken hekka and pork teriyaki. And I got the baked spaghetti, no rice, with toss and Mac salad. And the spaghetti filled half the plate with a good amount of height. Ige's is counter only, a hole-in-the-wall restaurant. Therefore there are no seats. I asked my cousin if she wanted to grab a table at Neal Blaisdell park down the street and she quickly declined. So we drove back to her house for lunch. My cousin did enjoy her chicken hekka and pork. I'm didn't get to taste it because I was too involved with my meal. At first glance, it wasn't the brick, lasagna-style like school where there was a thick layer of cheese on top. However, without the cheese, it was still tasted the same from what I could remember. Because the portion is heavy, my cousin could only eat a fourth of her lunch while I thought I better tap out at 1/3. So she didn't need to make dinner for her family while I had dinner and lunch for the next day. Although the interaction was short, the counter person was pleasant and very helpful. As you look into the kitchen, you can see a lot of people hustling back there as they also do catering. I'll be away for two weeks but I am looking forward to picking up lunch when I get back and I am definitely brining family here, I just need to figure out a good place for a picnic.

Our experience with Bobby started with private a tasting in their lounge of a few of the things we were hoping to have on our menu. We tried two mains, a salad and a few sides... when I say everything was a smash it, i really mean it! Our package included a third main and we honestly told him he could pick what to bring because obviously he knows how to cook- it'd be impossible to choose! For our wedding we had the kalbi shortribs, garlic shrimp, and huli huli chicken for our mains. Our salad was the one with the warm bacon dressing (OMG DELICIOUS), and we also had truffle mashed potatoes, a ratatouille, rice and i think 3 appetizers. It was ALL so good. Our guests have been raving about it since. Not only was the food to die for, but also the service before and during the wedding too! we had a few dietary restrictions to accommodate and Bobby was so easy to work with and already had ideas ready to go. Then there's the wait staff - who brought my husband and I full plates of everything first, before anyone else. So many people say they don't get to eat at their own weddings and they made sure that DIDNT happen to us. I was still so anxious that I didn't clear my plate but everything i DID eat was just as good as the tasting. The staff stayed and helped my coordinator for the rest of the night as well. After dinner they boxed up all the leftover food for us to take home and I was so happy for that! Since I didn't eat a ton at my own wedding I got to house all of the leftovers with our families. The taste, the value, the service... it really can't be beat. We've already decided we'll be tracking down his foodtruck whenever we can!

They were featured in Unique Eats so I decided to give it a try. I had the Kimchi fried rice, little smokies and scrambled eggs. It smelled great while I was driving home and couldn't wait to dig into it. 10 minutes later I finally get home and dive right into the plate. The kimchi fried rice was mushy and gummy nothing like fried rice. It was barely warm so I know it was prepped far in advance and held which may have made it more mushy. It would have been better off if they just dropped everything into the rice cooker, and cooked it the night before. Then when an order comes in stir fried it then. Oh and there was no kimchi in my fried rice. They used the base to season the rice which also makes the rice mushy. On to the scrambled eggs. They were rubbery and dry. Signs that they were cooked over high heat. The little smokies... well pretty hard to screw that up. Good side they served a lot of them. Over all for $8 I don't really consider this a deal not with the issues with the food anyway. Not a fan.
