You will need to use street parking or a public parking lot such as I did. It's really not bad at all to park away from the location and get out for a nice walk to the store. You will pass other stores and businesses that perhaps catch your eye for shopping. After finishing up at Patagonia I went to Denver Market for an ice cold beverage. The store lay-out for Patagonia isn't bad. It's clean and organized. Staff aren't so helpful. There were two staff members at the front register. Why one of them couldn't be on the main floor helping customers is a mystery. When going to check out at the register one of them pretty much ignored me then caught herself moments later. Management: please improve customer relations. Don't make interactions so transactional. I walked away with what I wanted but probably should have just used another retailer or distributor to get it. I'm in no hurry to return to this location.

Wilderness Exchange is across the street from the flagship REI megastore. Park in the large lot (first hour free) next to Wilderness Exchange. We always enjoy hunting for bargains but it was not fun going through the mostly meh merchandise here. Hiking wear was still expensive even with tags showing markdowns of 25-50% off. We found the choices for women's clothing limited and less appealing (ugly colors and zero style) than the men's clothing. Plus secondhand clothing was mixed in with unworn merchandise. As for camping and hiking gear, it's hit or miss. Gear is expensive here even if it is marked down. If you are a hiking or camping newbie, bring a friend who can advise you about brands, quality and prices plus do some comparison shopping at REI. Confirm Wilderness Exchange's limited return and warranty policy.

Visiting Denver I knew we had to visit the REI Flagship store located in downtown. This huge store…read morestands next to the South Platte River where the Cherry Creek and South Platte rivers unite in beautiful Confluence Park. Such a great location. The store itself is huge and located within the restored 1901 Denver Tramway Building. This building is all brick and just stunning to walk up to and into. They offer every type of equipment one would need for their selected sport whether it's hiking, climbing, cycling, camping, paddling, skiing, snowboarding or overall fitness. They also offer the option to rent outdoor equipment, provide a full range bike shop and ski and snowboard services. The store features a 47 foot tall climbing wall right in the middle of the floor and other unique decorations. I have never been in such a huge REI store but it was a fun experience. My husband managed to spend all his saved up gift cards (Ha! Ha!) Service was friendly and helpful from the staff. REI can always be a little on the spendy side but I always try to catch their sales. I love being a member and receiving my annual rewards. Parking is the only downer as it's only free for the first hour. After that you must pay and believe me, an hour is not enough time here. So glad we had the opportunity to stop in, shop and check out this historic location.

The running belt I found was great quality, very gently used and only cost $11. Feral is an absolute gem for the community and is by far my favorite outdoor good store. It is so well located also on Tennyson. Afterwards, you can stop for coffee or pop in for a yoga class at nearby businesses. If you have any questions, the employees here are incredibly friendly, charismatic and helpful. This is definitely a business. I feel good about supporting.

There were three young ladies working at the front of the store, chatting amongst themselves. Not one customer was greeted when (we) walked in and checking out felt like an inconvenience to the staff. Prices here on new gear is a bit on the higher side in comparison so it's worth it to shop around (online).

Bought some bindings last season in anticipation of getting some skis new for my son this season…read more I've never used the bindings (just sat on my shelf) . It's now time to buy some new skis for my son, but the brake on the bindings is too wide for the skis he wants. I asked if I could swap out the bindings (never used) for the same ones with a more narrow brake. Without even a thought, they told me it's a hard no because of their one year policy. I understand there are policies in place, but this is a pretty easy way to keep a customer satisfied and now I will not be buying new skis or anything else from this company ever again.

She helps us to the "classic" backpack, which is rated at 20 liters. They had a wide selection of this particular backpack, with several on sale. We purchased the two of the classic backpacks, each with a different color scheme. In addition to that backpack, they have many others, shorts, shirts, etc. An amazing outdoor store, and provided us with great value. We're looking forward to coming back !
