Cool bar with random photos of people on the wall. I came on a Saturday night with Jay O. And felt horrible for the bartender. Ariel was very sweet but also very busy! I felt terrible for her. It was super crowded and she was the only bartender there! Huge bar and with just one bartender on a Saturday night yikes! We had one drink and off we went to the next place.

After walking around the area we needed a place to relax for a few & grab drinks. We came in & sat at the bar, decide to go with a IPA good beer but being an IPA it has quite the after taste once u get over that it's not bad at all. Since we just wanted drinks didn't get to try any of the food, maybe next time. Small place not too big, a lot of pics on the wall just don't know exactly who all the people are! Dimly lit even thought the windows are open, nice comfy couch seating right here. Good service, music playing & decent prices, the bar served it's purpose good for drinks.

Menu

Had a wonderful time on Tuesday night. The food was delicious and so were the drinks!! Rich was behind the bar and he was so lovely. Definitely will be coming back on a Tuesday to see him again.

Great cocktails

New ownership with a remodel of the restaurant and new menu! The cocktails were $10 each but well worth it.

I literally downloaded yelp to write this review... And what a shame it is, I understand yelp only verifies reviews from consistent people. Regardless I figured I could share my experience with everyone. I originally went into Juniors Spycoast to charge my phone, I sat down ordered a beer and proceeded to do so, upon coming back from the bathroom my quarter drank- still chilled beer was thrown out from the bar. When the staff was confronted they were too busy entertaining friends behind the bar, refused to reimburse me with another as they thought I'd left. Rude employs, bad business ethic, worse bar. Won't be coming back.

Junior's Spycoast opened over the past summer in the location that used to be Old Port Pub. While Old Port Pub used to be a lazy local's watering hole, Spycoast is much livelier establishment resembling a cross between a sports bar and a safe house? I'm still not sure how the spy theme fits with the large flatscreens showing different games (football the last time I was there), but I guess it works. Hipsterish bartenders serve beer in mason jars and drinks from their Signature Menu such as Sazeracs, Hot Toddies, and Sidecars, while an indie rock heavy playlist carries on in the background. I've never had any items off their food menu, but pub grub coming from the kitchen always looks great and comes in big portions! Worth checking out as a first stop on your Port Jeff bar crawl! (Because you know it's only a matter of time before you hit Billy's for that $2 shot wheel...)

Terrible design, the bar is too narrow and impossible to move around in. The drinks are too expensive and the staff isn't friendly.

So happy to see Billie's 1890 still here and thriving. Even though they had a fire a few years ago…read morethey have rebuilt and doing just fine. I remember Port Jeff being one of my old stomping grounds when I was single and partying. I drank many a Foster's oil cans during my nights here, and it was a fun singles scene. Good times! Since then they have extended a really nice deck area, good menu of pub food, and they offer live music, local artists, and a chill vibe. Always nice to see a locals bar last this long and doing well.

First time meeting friends here and enjoyed the vibe. Started at the bar where there was a wait to…read moreorder drinks as well as receive them but it was a Saturday evening. Made our way to our table ( although we had a reservation still had to wait for the table to empty and then get reset). We were warmly greeted by our server Charlotte who was friendly and engaging and made several suggestions whether it was appetizers, main course or even special drinks. Started with the lettuce wraps and cauliflower bites which i highly recommend. Followed up with the Billie and Chester burgers which were outstanding. The chicken Milanese was pretty good for a non Italian restaurant although the Bleeker sandwich was a tad dry but otherwise good. The cheesecake and Irish coffees were well received to round out the evening. I was very impressed that Charlotte went out of her way to ask a staff member ( didn't get his name manager maybe) to double check for the availability of espresso coffee after we were informed they had none. My friends were extremely impressed as well as pleased a package of beans were found. I was impressed when I requested Tullsmure Dew and not Jameson Whiskey in my Irish Coffee. Overall great pub serving a good selection of beers and food with friendly and in our case accommodating staff members. When in Port Jefferson don't miss out.

The lady at the counter (Kelly, I think?) was incredibly friendly, very personable, was happy to chat with my very talkative daughter, gave us recommendations for what's popular to eat at Portside & gave us a great recommendation of a place to get some ice cream after lunch, and even offered us a cup of ice water for my pup. We grabbed a table outside on the patio & ordered our food. We only waited about 15-20mins after ordering before all our plates and drinks came out. Everything tasted fantastic. The fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and my Chicken Caesar wrap was one of the best I've ever had. My dad had cobb salad that looked amazing, sis ordered the portside burger w/ side of onion rings that was really delicious, and hubby & daughter split a chicken fingers basket. We left nothing on our plates when we were done. The food was that excellent. Next time we visit Port Jefferson, we will be back to Portside Bar!

Had a very nice dinner with my grumpy husband . He seemed to enjoy his wings and even chuckled at the choir group having dinner in the back which made for a very nice and happy atmosphere. He was also very punchy after two beers on tap. He had the Merman ‍ and the wave chaser. The Wave Chaser was his favorite since the Merman was a bit too bitter for his taste buds. Which is surprising considering his usual grumpy mood. Had a very nice waitress and offered an Aperol on the rocks instead of a Spritz. It was absolutely delicious and now I only want Aperol this way! I'm Mediterranean so it is now my favorite drink! The spritz part can go spritz itself. Hey owner your waitress deserves a raise! I don't know her name but young pretty with a blonde ponytail this evening shift on Tuesday at around 8:30 pm. Our bus boy and hostess were equally courteous. These kids work hard and doing a great job here! Now let's get to the yummy food - Had two appetizers and a main to share. The calamari platter was good and so were the buffalo wings not too spicy. I tried the chicken caprese and it was delectable without being too heavy and the sauce was nice to dip the calamari appetizer in. Nice and lemony !! We finished off the other an Irish coffee the mint on top of the cream was delicious - Super great service and great establishment to visit!

The food and service were great, and I want to acknowledge our server Christine, who was a real joy to interact with. We stopped in for a Friday lunch. I ordered a salad and one of the soup specials. My Burrata Salad was $14 for a big portion of mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, and basil topped with a big hunk of burrata cheese, roasted peppers and a balsamic glaze. The salad was excellent, especially the creamy decadent Burrata. Half of it came home with us. My soup was a cup of Mediterranean Lentil for $6. It came in a bowl-sized portion with a big hunk of fresh Italian bread. Both were great, and I loved how the soup was served piping hot and not tepidly lukewarm like so many places serve their soups. My wife ordered an Eggplant Parmigiana Flatbread, and this is where Christine displayed her customer service skills. She told us the restaurant had run out of Eggplant the night before and ran back to the kitchen to see if there was a new supply ready for today. She came back and said it hadn't been fully prepped yet, so it wasn't available, but would we like to try Cauliflower Parmigiana instead? That sounded intriguing to us, and we agreed. The flatbread that came out ($16) was delicious. Big nuggets of sauteed Cauliflower with cheese and marinara sauce on a flatbread. It tasted so good, we vowed to try making our own Cauliflower Parm at home. Lunch ran around $40 after tax and tip, and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the Port Bistro & Pub.
