This places sells many house hold decorative items (painted ceramics, dishes, sculptural figures) a lot of it is pretty cute and I believe it is all handmade by the owner of this store. There is a small cafe attached to the store but it has very limited hours and I have never been while it was open. The best part of all is that they have a large selection of unpainted ceramics that you can paint your self right there!!! You only have to pay for the piece of blank ceramic that you would like to paint and most of them are very fairly priced ($5-$25 depending on size). The paint is free, glazing and firing is free. (glazing and firing takes one day so you will have to pick up your item the following day) The room that is designated for painting is very large and has lots of table space so it is great for large or small parties. The owner is so sweet, plays music for you, and makes you feel right at home. I went here for my birthday and my friends and I all had a blast. We made vases, coffee mugs, candy dishes, plates.... They have anything you can think of!

Most recently I dashed out while my mom watched my 8 month old to get a hostess gift for our family friend. I was greeted as soon as I entered by perhaps the owner (a friendly blonde woman). I told her I was looking for specific gifts (cocktail napkins, coasters, and a candle) and she showed me where said merchandise was located in each of the rooms. The store is cozy and inviting, as the name suggests, and is full of beach themed goods for home. It's a great spot for picking out a quick hostess gift, or a clever birthday gift (think cute wooden signs, pillows, cheese boards etc). The store isn't cluttered though it is full of options. I found some beach chair coasters (heavy and substantive), and a lovely candle that had an orange vanilla fragrance and helped feed a hungry child in South America with its purchase. I tried to use my Target card but stupidly didn't realize that it only works at Target.com or in Target stores (I don't have the master card that works everywhere). Oops. I only brought an AMEX but she kindly let me use that. I would have had to go back to our beach house and get my other card. I will be back next time I am in town looking for a gift. I liked the art hanging on the walls, the very industrial/steam punk styled messenger bags. If you are willing to part with $69.00, one of them could be yours. There were some fun mermaid prints, horse prints on dictionary pages, and patent application prints...the one for the gun and type writer almost went home with me. My MIL came out with some cute jewelry and my SIL got a horse themed glass cutting board for her horse loving friend. Check this cool shop out!

I picked up a limited edition Nightmare Before Christmas ornament on my last visit, and a solar powered Lucky Cat and a new wall clock on the visit before that. They also stock children's books, T-shirts and other local and Bay-themed souvenirs. I purchased a Maryland tin, a gift bag, & some snowflake ornaments.
