love when they open this in spring/summer

This is my most favorite coffee shop in Birmingham, it is my go to every time! I just love that it is consistently good in every way especially the coffee, matcha, and food. The staff are always friendly and super cool. The florals they use to decorate through the seasons are so creative the environment is just awesome.

Drinks first, thoughts after... Located conveniently next to my favorite bakery, I've had the pleasure of stopping by June three times. I first went when they first opened. The line was out the door and that really hasn't changed since. Overall June has pretty tasty drinks. I tried violet hour from their summer menu and I gasped after taking my first sip. Recently I've been addicted to their butterscotch drink from their fall menu.

Met some friends who were visiting from out of town here! We arrived around 9 am Sat morning and they had a little line but it moved quickly. All of the tables were full but by the time we got our order we were able to snag a table. I love the atmosphere & it was a cool coffee shop. I'm not a coffee girl but after having the Winter Warmth, I wanted to try more!! It was really good & the flavors were perfect for the rainy Saturday Jan morning! Of course if you go to June's you have to visit Last Call Bakery next door!! One word: YUMMY!!

I just moved from Miami and was so sad to leave my favorite coffee shop... until I found June Coffee. Honestly, it's the best coffee I've had in a long time. So good that I didn't even stop to take aesthetic photos (and that's saying something!) The staff is super friendly and laid-back. The vibe of the shop is a perfect mix of industrial and cozy. They carry pastries from Last Call Baking Company that are top tier. They have tacos from Ladybird too--those are just okay, but hey, you're here for the coffee anyway. It's right downtown, but I've never had trouble finding parking within a block which is a win in my book. Highly recommend.

I always enjoy supporting a local coffee shop and was excited to try June Coffee based on the positive reviews. There is free street parking and a small gravel lot that you can park in next to June. It's a decent size gravel courtyard in front of June with tables. The inside is very cozy and has a public restroom and tables inside with free wifi. The service was awesome, all smiles! I was greeted as soon as I entered and had no wait. There was a small menu with seasonal flavors next to the register and I ordered a maple pecan latte with oatmilk $8.25. I'm not sure if the oatmilk overpowered the other flavors but I didn't taste any hint of maple or pecan, it actually tasted more like a cinnamon honey ice latte. It was a good coffee, just not the flavors I was expecting.

I've heard such great things about this place. I met up with my friend Miranda here about a month ago. It's a great place to both work or catch up with friends. They have a patio with outside seating as well as a cute space inside to sit. We started outside and worked our way inside once the wind picked up. I ordered one of their seasonal drinks which was an iced pistachio rose latte. It came with two shots, but since it was later in the afternoon, I asked them to substitute one of my shots with decaf. It worked perfectly! The coffee was super yummy and a flavor profile I would have never thought of otherwise.

Great service with great coffee! I didn't personally try the green tea but it came out in its own personal-sized kettle that you pour into your mug yourself which I thought was very cool. The atmosphere is great inside and they have a small outdoor area that looked nice for sunny days!

Ok I liked this place but I have conflicting emotions. The interior is very nice, cozy, not a lot of seating but they did have more seating outside (it was just rainy). The menu is great, and I think they usually have more food options but when we got there around 11 there was only 2 cinnamon rolls left. The Barista who took our order did not seem to be in a good mood...but she wasn't rude, just a little concise? Anyway, we got the shaken espresso and were surprised to get them in martini glasses. It was a fun touch. I didn't really love the drink, it was sweet and the cocoa was a nice addition but there was a floral undertone that I didn't like and it was kind of bitter (more so than espresso normally is!

I really enjoy the rich taste of the coffee here! I also had a sip of my cousin's matcha and it was really good too, so I'll definitely be trying more drinks in the future. The atmosphere is pretty cool, and even though there's always a line, it moves really quickly. I also love that they're open on Sundays and it's perfect for grabbing a coffee after church or on a relaxing day

Coffee is a science here. The baristas are so incredibly knowledgeable about the background of all the beans and their flavor profiles. The syrups are all made in house. I like that they date when they roasted the beans and the dates on the syrups. I opted to try both their tea and coffee. I received a London Fog and it's the best in town. The tea bag is huge and you could even keep it and use it again. For the coffee, I wanted to try the daily brew--just black. It was so strong (which is great for me) that I could only drink half of it. But the flavor profile was delightful. I'm going to buy a bag of the beans next time. A match made in heaven is that they are next door to Last Call Baking and carry their pastries. The ambiance is nice too. There's plenty of seating inside and outside, although the benches inside could definitely benefit from some cushion. I couldn't sit as long as I wanted because it was a bit uncomfortable.

This place literally changed my mind about coffee. The black sesame and date latte, half sweet, with oat milk..... loml. Certainly a Birmingham staple. The people working there are so lovely and kind, even when it's incredibly packed. There's also always good conversation & music. I just recently moved out of state, and this will be one of the places I miss the most!!

I came here to catch up with a great friend from high school! The space is the old Revelator Coffee…read moreshop (RIP, what happened to them?) but certainly lives up to their predecessor! The vibe here is different from the one out in Cahaba Heights, much more industrial chic. I'm on a quest to try every single local coffee shop in Birmingham, and I am never disappointed. I ordered from their special winter menu the iced minty matcha, which was fantastic. The mint was not too overpowering, super tasty. This is such a great spot! Definitely a more social coffee shop, from what I gathered on this Saturday morning. I always dread parking down here and then never have trouble. It's right across from the Alabama Theatre, so if there's nothing going on there, street parking is a breeze.

I was specifically super excited to try their seasonal matcha special, which was made with horchata (also from Salud!) and strawberries, if I recall correctly. Unfortunately, we walked in only to find they were out of the supplies needed to make the drink. :( I was caught off guard and didn't know what to order, but the barista recommended a latte with maple flavor so I went with that. The interior was clean and spacious and had a relaxed and calm but energetic feeling to it. Good place to hang out or work quietly. There's a self-service area to spruce up or fix your drink or grab lids or stir sticks. Service was nice and my drink came out quickly. It was pretty good but not really the "right" drink for me. I like my stuff on the sweet side and this was much more balanced and coffee-forward. That said, it held its own against my sugar-craving taste buds and I drank most of it, which is usually the hallmark of good brew, lol. I don't really blame them because I blanked on what to order and just went with what was suggested. It's probably a great suggestion for lots of other folks! Would be happy to come back and try a different beverage. Seems like a nice place overall. :)

Tyler was great with helping make my selection of drink and I loved how patient he was with assisting on the order. The feel of the space was very comfortable and welcoming to creatives. I love the location and how it is in walking distance to so many things. Thankfully I was able to find a parking spot across the street and didn't have to pay to park. Basic. is the store sharing the space and it is nice to be able to browse their inventory while waiting for your drinks. It's located right along 2nd Ave amongst all of the restaurant hubbub. Street parking, but if you're willing to take a stroll for a couple blocks, it's easy. It's a shared space with "basic," a vintage clothing and art retailer which has awesome things made by local people. The people that worked there were so friendly. I came because I had to get that crème brûlée latte. It did not disappoint. One of the most delicious coffee drinks I've had in a long time. It tasted like a hug, perfectly caramel sweet, and fun to drink. It's not often that coffee gets turned into an interactive experience. The pastries looks great. The couch in the front window looked like an awesome spot to post up with some buddies. There were plenty of tables and chairs to work at. I will most certainly be back.
