Those fried mushrooms! You're given a heaping basket full of them -- add a bit of salt and boom: instant amazing. I had to stop eating them so I could eat my lunch. Split the patty melt and avocado burger with my wife. Both had excellent seasoning. The sides -- fries and (red) onion rings -- are also so good. Catch is there's so much! With the help of Yelp we found Junction Burger. We were greeted immediately upon entering. We found our table and our server quickly came over and took our drink order. They serve RC Cola by the way. I got the turkey Swiss bacon sandwich. It was very good. The ciabatta bun was nice and soft. The turkey was grilled and the bacon was well cooked. I had the sandwich with the sweet potato waffle cut fries. They were super yummy. My husband got the double cheeseburger. He asked for a few customizations and the cook got it right. The burger was a little over seasoned but not enough to criticize he said. But delicious non the less. He got onion rings with his burger and said they were probably some of the best he has ever had. The batter was really good and they were cooked perfectly. He had sweet tea with his meal and said it was just sweet enough for his taste. Our server was friendly and attentive and even offered us to go drinks. When we went (28 Aug 2021) their credit card machine was glitchy according to the server so you might want to bring cash. We always try to have cash when we are traveling so it was no problem for us. Just thought you should know. I absolutely recommend Junction Burger. We stopped by a burger while camping at the nearby state park. The place was pretty busy, and there was only one lady taken orders, but she was doing a great job of keeping everybody happy. She had a great attitude, always there to refill tea or other drinks. The wait for the order took a bit of a wait. I would not suggest dinning in, during lunch time, if you are in a hurry. But the burgers, fries and onion rings are definitely worth the wait. I ordered the mushroom Swiss burger with a fried egg. It might've been the best burger I have ever tasted. It was seasoned to perfection and the egg was cooked perfectly. If ever in the Junction area, I would highly recommend this place. If you are short on time, try the drive thru. Honestly this place is awsome, we ate here on our way through because the bbq places really don't cut it. First off we had the fried pickles, they were the best fried pickles any of us have had (and we're kinda experts). We all had different burgers but I think the stoner and the devil's burger were everyone's favorite. We ordered a blue cheese burger without the bun (it was actually plated really nicely), and let me tell you, it would've been the best burger if it was good quality blue cheese. And lastly we got the heart attack, it was fun to eat but it was nothing special, kinda a "yeah I ate it thing". Junction burger is a little hidden gem in Junction Texas. This place is quite quaint and has a very mom and pop shop all the locals eat here feel. The restaurant itself is very small slightly dated. The staff is very nice and helpful. Now on to the good stuff. I really wanted to try the cheese sticks but they were out. I also really wanted avocado. Also out. I understand as this is a very small town. Literally less than 3,000 people live there. You can tell by the amount of who's cheatin' on who beauty shop like gossip going on at the next table. Lolol I ordered the cheeseburger with grilled mushrooms, bacon and grilled onions. Also ordered fries. You had your choice of fries, chips or a salad. My boyfriend chose to build his own cheeseburger with bacon, fried egg and fries on the side. The wait time was brief and we were thankful as we had been on the road for several hours. When our food came we were pleasantly surprised! The fries were sooo good and the burger was even better!
