Yes, on our road trip, we stopped at McDonald's. The Golden Arches can't be missed when you need to fill your stomach with burgers and fries and the 'all you can drink' sweet and ice-cold sodas. We see that McDonald's gave employment opportunities to the young, most likely starting the summer. Talking about summer, this city of Junction TX was scorching in the sun. This is the best McDonalds I've ever experienced. That chef is either deeply inspired or very high. The chicken nuggets taste like they have crack in them. The wait time is horrible and the service is rude. So worth it though. Nuggets don't taste like that at any other location. read more

It's a McDonald's attached to the busiest gas station in Junction. The drive-thru can get full but moves quickly. We ordered inside at the clean counter with friendly staff. We got two double cheeseburgers and a large unsweetened tea. The fresh-brewed tea was perfect with lots of ice. The burgers were consistent McDonald's neatly packed into a bag. I ordered 4 McDoubles, no ketchup, no mustard, add Mac Sauce, add shredded lettuce... I was upcharged $1.80 for the shredded lettuce. I paid then asked for management: pointed out most McD's don't charge for shredded lettuce and produced two different receipts proving such. I told the mgr that I wasn't upset with her personally but lettuce doesn't cost that much and truckers spend enough money in this truck stop restaurant to afford a few shreds of lettuce. As I was getting on the freeway with my semi I dug out a sandwich and found no lettuce on any of them, and the special order receipt was taped to each one plainly stated add lettuce... Ok, y'all, McDonald's b'fast road-trip stops are kind of a thing with us, like it has to happen on every trip. We're extra that way. Fancy, right? So I've been here sevvvvvvveral times on the trip between our home and my parent's place in Kerrville. Today: Ready to get rolling we hit the drive-thru and we both had sausage McMuffins w/eggs; on point, hot & fresh. Hash browns were amazing (at 10 am on a Sunday you expect them to be, this location has a high turnover). Line through the drive-thru moved ok, friendly associates and of course the best OJ in the world. Other trips: The gas station/McD's setup works especially well if you need a Michelada with your hash browns (no, I am not driving & doing this! I'm.. err, a passenger, which is still illegal but much less so... or that's what I tell myself) or to pick up some okra pickles or jerky or beer or who knows what else you come across. Agree with other Yelpers that the bathrooms can be a chaotic mess, I avoid. Lost a star today because their wifi wouldn't connect, and there are LONG stretches in our drive that leave me with zero service. (Verizon, but I can't even roam?!)(Head's up; I also can't use Waze so the suggestion to watch for speed traps is definitely valid.) read more

I looked at the receipt and I was charged for the other pie. I don't care if 30cents sounds so little but it adds up. How many customers did they do it do? When I tried to say that I wanted my money back, I was interrupted by being told that they were out. I got feisty and said that I wasn't finished talking. I told her I wanted my money back and I was told that the manager had to go to a back room to get it. I sat and waited till I got it. Once I told them they said for real guys, then opened and slapped on a burger after god knows how many touched the burger. How do I put zero stars? Cashier did not acknowledge me and when we asked questions there was barely an audible response. Ordered a sausage egg McMuffin with cheddar cheese and egg whites. Was given American cheese. When I took it back the lady wanted to debate with me about white cheese versus American cheese. I finally got through to her by saying yellow cheese for a second time. On of the worst McDonald's I have ever been to. Every trash can in the place was overflowing with trash and the flies have overrun the place. The food had a strange taste to it. Can't put my finger on it but something was off about it... (maybe the condition of the lobby played on my senses). Before we left I went to the restroom and it was more of the same. It was so nasty I didn't want to was my hands after using it. To top things off I saw an employee wash and dry his hands then he spent about 10 seconds balancing the tissue on top of the mountain of trash that was already in the can. This Mc Donald's not only charges above menu price, but they can't even get an order correct. I stopped by here on a road trip and left with the wrong order and food poisoning.
