Great find! My husband and I stopped in here while traveling out to Big Bend, and loved it. Great service from Jenny, and wonderful food from the cook. Relaxing atmosphere and good music playing. It was also great that they were conscious about keeping things sanitized, and only doing outdoor seating. Dogs allowed and water bowls outside. Only thing I would suggest: add hanging water-bags to deter flys on the patio. They were quite annoying. We will for sure drive out of our way to come here again. read more

This has got to be hands down the #1 spot in Junction for Good People, Great Food, and FUN! Stopped in one night to ask about renting some Kayak's and paddling the river. Heck I figured with a name like this, how could I go wrong right? Man it didn't disappoint at all! There was a very nice lady named Janna who was working at the counter who got us off on the right path with not only a waitress to help us with some food and drink orders, but put connected us with a gentleman named Billy to get things started on the Kayak rentals. A lady named Cathe stopped by and asked us how were were doing and we struck up a conversation with her over the good live music that was playing as well as the quality of customer service we had received so far. Once our food arrived it didn't disappoint by any means either. The appetizers were piping hot and the SAMPLER is the way to go! As soon as I seen the "Hawg Dawg" on the menu I was sold! Bacon wrapped sausage, cradled in a green onion-cream cheese smeared toasted bun, topped w/grilled onions, shredded cheese, jalapenos... OH MY... this was phenomenal!! Kids' Stuff Small Burger was ordered for the youngster in my crew and it was very good tasting as the patty was handmade! Very generous portions for just $4.50! We also ordered the SHRIMP TACOS and requested to "load up on the Chipotle Sauce, and Pico"!! Not only did they make the Tacos as normal, but they also brought some on the side so we could add to our tacos as we desired! Brilliant idea by this staff, and awesome customer service. We finished off trying the Oreo Bombs and the Funnel Cake. This took us back to the state fair all over again! It's exactly what it tasted like and we almost put ourselves into a Food Coma! Whenever I am anywhere NEAR Junction I stop by here for the customer service alone! Janna, Billy, and Cathe are wonderful, and the Paddling trip down the River took us right at about 4 hours. Really amazing to have such a wonderful adventure of the River, Food, and People! This is a hidden gem in Texas for sure! read more

Outdoor patio with great atmosphere and good service. We had shrimp tacos and were very disappointed. Each taco had a minuscule amount of chipotle sauce (which was tasty), barely any pico de gallo, cabbage and 2 very small shrimp. Avocado was supposed to be there but it was missing. For $9.95 i expect more shrimp...4 would have been adequate. They added some fries in there, not sure why. Hope they up their game. read more

We stumbled across this little gem in Junction, TX. It was around 900 pm or so and we just made it before the kitchen closed. They were very gracious telling us they would make us anything on the menu. I had a patty melt and my wife had the adult grilled cheese. Basically it consisted of cheddar, grilled red onions and bacon. It was fantastic. The patty melt was one of the best I ever had. Not to mention the shoestring potatoe fries were cooked to perfection. Although we didn't partake because we were still traveling that day, they had great beer and drink specials. Now for the service. It was impeccable. The waitress was extremely friendly and attentive. This is not the service you would expect at a country honky tonk. Yelpers usually don't let me down, but this was the exception. We were given a short menu with a dozen or so options to chose from and told that we couldn't have 3 of the things on it. My husband's taco looked nothing like the tacos in the pictures others have posted. It looked like the standard drive-thru taco. My pulled brisket sandwich had about 2oz of meat on it--I couldn't taste it in the first bite so I took off the top of the bun and folded it over to improve the bread-to-brisket ratio. Still a little too much bread. Why the 2 stars? The cheese sticks were delicious and did not taste like they came from the freezer. The short menu listed chips with my sandwich, but the waitress asked me if I wanted chips or fries. I picked fries. We were told 15-20min wait to receive our to go order and ended up waiting an hour. Our ENTIRE order was wrong and missing ingredients. I was given a chicken salad instead of the chef salad that. I paid extra for. The dressing was wrong and there was no egg, no avocado and wrong meat. Not to mention the salad looked like it was enough for a burger topping only, not a $10 meal. Our porch platter looked nothing like the picture advertised on their website-The cheese and sauce were missing from the order. My husbands poboy had about 2 shrimp on it. Sorry I forgot to take pic of mozzarella sticks. They were lightly breaded and with just the right amount of crunch. There ranch is home made and full of flavor. My husband and I both enjoyed cheeseburgers which were thick. I almost couldn't bit into it. There slim and crunchy fries made me happy I had to make myself stop eating them. Cold beer and good food! We went on a Friday night while staying in Junction. While off the beaten path, it is well worth the time to find. Only got to have an app sampler as that ended up being more than enough for two of us with a few beers, although the burgers walking by looked phenomenal! If I could give 3.5, I would. It's ok. I was not as impressed as other reviewers. Service was great; the young lady who helped us was very sweet and attentive. Atmosphere is fun and relaxed! Great spot for a post-river fun. But don't go for the food. It's edible, but not exceptional, in our opinion. We had chips, salsa and queso. Queso was not hardly warm I didn't feel like it was anything more than ballpark/velveeta. Salsa was pretty good. Kids had chicken strips. Standard. I had a burger with pepper jack. It was ok. Just a regular ole burger. My husband had the nacho salad, which was big. He said it was underwhelming but good. Overall it was decent and we will return, but if you're looking for a restaurant strictly for the quality of the food, I'd go somewhere else. Stopped on our way through using Yelp reviews and looking for something just a little different. It's definitely a porch atmosphere where you sit at picnic tables outside on a dirt floor. My husband and I randomly stopped here on our way to pick up our son at Sheppard AFB. We loved the small town, local feel of this sweet little place and decided to stay and eat. Lacy behind the bar welcomed us as we entered and quickly took our orders. My husband had the hand-formed burgers and I had the grilled shrimp tacos. Both were extremely delicious. The tacos had a wonderful spiced aioli that gave them a nice kick of heat and flavor. We ordered the fried Oreos (first time for me) and it was love. We enjoyed all of this amazing food on the patio. The owner even came out and chatted with us as we asked questions about the town. This place was such a great find and a pleasant surprise. We will come back the next time we pass through. read more

Lacey set me up for a kayak trip down the Llano River and had a great time. I didn't get a chance to try the food that everyone i met raved about but will be going back fo sure! Just had a late lunch here. Stopped intentionally because of Yelp reviews. Came to Junction for a quick stop to pick up a dog then back to San Antonio. GREAT place! Very quaint and cute and friendly feeling. We had the cheeseburgers and fries. Fantastic fresh made (not frozen patty) burger. Can choose from several cheeses. I had the provolone. Super crispy shoestring style fries, and a very good lemonade. (Not country time mix) Great service from Lacey and we even chatted with the owner when we were leaving. Very nice lady. We stopped in on our way from Austin to Big Bend and were really glad we did. The burger and fish tacos were great - really fresh ingredients and big portions. It's a family run place, where everyone was super friendly and it just had a very nice laid back feel. They also have a large covered outdoor area that's a great place to hang out.
