The servers were great, but the man who I later discovered was the owner of the restaurant is a jerk. Our family of 5 was just seated and there was a group at the booth beside us. The owner walks over to that table with a plate, snatches a chair from our table and sits down to eat with them. Common courtesy would be to ask if it was being used at the very least. This tells me that he is arrogant and has no respect for his customers. There was a man at their table who watched him do this and got up himself to bring over another chair for us. He was very nice, while everyone at that table looked miserable. Again, the servers were great - attentive and friendly, but working for this man and his wife must be horrible. We ordered typical Canto dishes, all mediocre. The salt and pepper calamari was good. Taro sago was too watered down and better left unserved. When my mother got home she threw up. OK, definitely more bigger tables in the back where the bar is. Had family meal here so tried quite a few more dishes like twin lobsters, salt baked chicken,...and other canto usuals and they were all up to par. The not so canto offering in having Peking duck on the menu was so so (if you're looking for a mediocre substitute then perhaps), but it's a once and done deal. Most restaurants would require 24 hour notice for this dish unless they specialize in the same. There were steamed "pancakes" for the service (but no sugar). Skin was not as crispy as most Peking duck served would be.i could go on but you get the point. Overall, this place is still an excellent addition to the area. read more

Nice clean location for Cantonese cuisine. The place has been updated with modern decor and nice comfy chairs. The team was very welcoming as soon as we arrived. Friendly and did not throw any dishes on to the table. We got dim sum for weekday brunch. The food was okay and not over priced. I wish it came a little hotter. Staff needs improvement in training in politeness and English classes . Grumpy and rude staff in either Chinese or English language . I speak Both English and Chinese! Super slow service. We ordered a few dim sum dishes and we waited for a long time for the food to be delivered to our table. The staff told us that the dishes we ordered usually take a long time to cook, but among all the dim sum restaurants I've been to in Boston, the exact same food I ordered at other restaurants did NOT take this long. They did not tell us how long this is gonna take until I ask them. Also, it took forever for them to bring the check to us. I'm glad that we finally have a Hong Kong-style dim sum restaurant in the area. Seating is comfortable, and service is fast. Prices are in line with other dim sum restaurants (eg. 1-star rating-Visited during their grand opening for Chinese New Year. We ordered 7 dishes to share family-style, as is traditional, including a half Peking duck. Unfortunately, portions were extremely small--most dishes felt like half (or less) of what we'd expect for the price, yet we were charged full amounts. The half Peking duck was particularly disappointing; it arrived with only a tiny fraction of what a half duck should be, but billed at the full duck price. The food itself wasn't bad in taste, but the skimpy servings made it impossible to share properly among our group, and it felt like poor value overall. Service was also an issue. We were seated right by the entrance in the cold winter draft. We politely asked to move to a warmer table (especially for my 85-year-old grandmother), but staff refused. Even later in the evening, when many tables around us had emptied, they still wouldn't accommodate a switch after we'd already paid. This experience left a bad impression. I won't be returning, and I can't recommend it based on the portion sizes, pricing, and lack of flexibility with seating. read more
