Whew! I finally made it into this place Ok 4th July 2025 11:30 am prime time Pay as you enter. Holiday price just under 15 bucks. Smells good as you enter! Small buffet not what I was expecting Ok on to the food First small plate samples: White Rice and lomein noodles And sample a bit of everything Plastic plates and plastic silverware Big butterfly jumbo shrimp silver dollar size! No shrimp sauce Real good as is! The chicken pot stickers were spot on perfect! Rice was spot on jasmine rice awesome flavor! Lo mein wow outstanding! I could have made a meal out of those two things! Chicken broccoli check! And good Steak and onions with green peppers check but I only did the steak and onions as green peppers are not an out of town road food for me Really good Some cashew chicken I did not see any nuts but it was a little warm on the spice Egg drop soup well mine is better lol But a dash of soy sauce to flavor it And was ok. Listen, this place has been with MP for a few generations now. In all honesty this place still hits home for me and I love their buffet food. The Ambience is still there though I remember they used to play music there back in the 2010+ but either way the place is a nostalgia to visit. Their service is nice and welcoming when you come in as they would keep up refilling the food trays in the warmer with fresh ones. They know what their customers like and will be on it to make sure you are pleased! A hole in the wall of a place, the name jumbo buffet is an overstatement. Nothing about this buffet screams jumbo. I've been to Asian buffets with 14 bars of food to choose from this place. It has like three. The only thing jumbo is the price you pay to eat there Though some of the food was good, a lot of it needed to be replaced, and there was only one piece of sushi while I was there, and nothing more was brought out. One of the best things I had there was a fried Christy shrimp with black pepper since it was brought out fresh and hot. The hot sour soup was okay as well. The whole exterior and inside definitely needs updating. 15 bucks for lunch price is extreme for the atmosphere the choosings they offer. 2 star read more

If you are hungry, tired of fast food restaurants. And in The middle of nowhere, try this place, an All you can eat buffet. It's kinda run down and looks like a vacant building with cars parked out front. The sign even looks like it's no longer in business. But I took the chance and got a nice selection of food at an American/Chinese buffet. It was late in the day so I wasn't expecting so many options. Ate there Sunday for the first time. Very busy at lunch, but they kept the buffet well stocked. I tried several items and all were very good. The restaurant was very clean. They use styrofoam plates and plastic utensils, which wasn't a problem for us. Not sure of the weekly prices, but Sunday lunch for two was $27 including drinks. I'll definitely be back. read more

This place is nothing to look at from the outside. But inside it is clean, with lots of choices and good food, for a very reasonable price. But even inside, not much to look at. However, I was surprised at the quality (and quantity) of food. We were there on a Monday night, and there weren't a lot of people in the restaurant, but the four buffet lines were still full of food. And it was good--cream cheese won tons were hot and crisp, yeast donuts were fluffy and fresh. There were also plenty of fruit and non-Chinese options if someone in your party isn't a fan of oriental food. We ate there today at lunch. The buffet has a good variety of selections. The steamed white rice in the rice cooker was better than average: it was the bottom of the pot but the rice grains were plump and moist. There were several stir fry selections and many batter fried items. The hot tea was good, strong, well-brewed Chinese tea. And I love that there are several kinds of ice cream, yours for the scooping. read more

I'm looking through the Mt. Pleasant offerings as I will be headed back soon and come across Jumbo. We always eat at the Jumbo buffet when I am home, sometimes twice on a fairly short visit. Truthfully I skip past some items but there is always enough things on the menu I like a lot to get me more than full. The peanut butter chicken is probably my most favorite thing. I really have never had anything like it elsewhere so I am excited to go there and get that. The chilled shrimp is also really good - never overcooked in the many times I have gone. Crab rangoon, lo mein, fried green beans, beef and broccoli, really quite a few things are pretty good. I have lived all over and eaten at lots of different places but I think this one is better than most. Yes as others say the building is nothing great. I don't go somewhere for the building personally. If it doesn't fall on me I'm pretty happy. I have never had the food run out or anything where they didn't refill it no matter what the time. The people that work there are always nice. Like I said, I will be visiting the area soon and I am sure there will be a trip there. read more

I have to say I was quite impressed with the food at Jumbo Buffet. We arrived here around 4:30 PM on a Friday afternoon, and the buffet looked understocked and old, but they were swapping pans out at that time and putting out fresh food. Within 10 minutes, they had all fresh food out and kept it well stocked. My favorites from the buffet were the butter shrimp and the salt and pepper shrimp, but there were many other delicious choices as well. The restaurant was slow when we arrived but it did pick up some while we were there. I did notice a lot of people coming in and making take-out boxes. This is by far the best Chinese buffet I've eaten at. Seriously. Their quality went down a little bit a couple years ago, but it's better than most places you'll find. The staff is incredibly friendly. The atmosphere is a little dark, but I don't really care about that, and neither should you. The food is delicious if it hasn't sat out for an hour, but it gets replaced frequently. The dishes are also incredibly varied but are all equally delicious and there's something for everyone. The price is fair and since it's a buffet It's your own fault if you walk away hungry. read more

Not the best, not the worst. They were out of steamed rice, Lo Mein was really good, tapioca was great. Crab Rangoon was cold. I would eat here again if in a hurry but would like to try other restaurants in the area next time. Most towns these days have some variation of a Chinese Buffet. The options at these buffets are fairly constant: well known Chinese food, some American food, fruit, and dessert. Jumbo Buffet is the worst such restaurant I have ever come across. The building itself is dingy. The food is stale and the food runs out and is not refreshed often. The night I ate there the Mongolian Beef was mostly Mongolian Onion and the corn nuggets were the best thing on the buffet. Finally, it is fairly expensive for what you get. read more
