This is my second time to Martinis and we came with friends so we had to try the grazing experience. The food was good not great. The appetizers were tasty minus the egg rolls which were kind of bland. The main course was alright our filets were overcooked, we asked our waiter to please let the cook know and she apologized and brought us new ones at the rare temperature we asked for and those were much better. The pork chops were a bit dry also unfortunately, and the pasta is bland. But the sides of mashed potatoes and green beans were delicious. The dessert is meh it's a 3 tier Neapolitan ice cream cake that tastes just like it came out of a gallon tub. Our waiter was very attentive and took great care of our table always checking on drinks and food and how we were doing. Inside can be loud at times which sometimes made it hard to hear in a conversation. All in all you pay for the experience the grazing seems like a hefty price to me for what you actually get when you look at it. read more

I loved this place! The atmosphere and view were great. The pineapple martini was delish. We ordered the chicken lips as an appetizer (apparently Burlington is known for chicken lips) although these were very good it was a lot of food and I wished I wouldn't have wasted belly space on them. My husband and I ordered the seafood extravaganza and split it, with this you got the warm bread w butter, your choice of soup or salad, and a side. There was plenty of food and all of it was cooked to perfection. Will definitely go back and would definitely recommend if you're in Burlington! read more

I was hesitant about Martinis due to the mixed reviews but was very pleasantly surprised. I'm not a big meat eater so stuck to the soups and salad. The special Pear Blue Cheese salad with a bacon vinaigrette was special. The creamy tortilla soup was a solid creation. I would not recommend the brussel sprout appetizer won - extremely soggy - maybe the worst version of this I've ever had. The beer selection was thorough - the Tip the Cow cocoa milk stout being my choice. Jamie my server was attentive and followed up on my dinner choices. I was surprised at the bill as she took appetizer off my bill without question. Though I did not have their specialties, I would highly recommend for a special night out and a great view of the river. read more

Was not able to get into La Tavola, so we decided to try Martini's. Server was fantastic, very friendly, had great recommendations and just the right amount of attentiveness. The cocktails we ordered were perfection. They do a great version of the Vesper. We ordered the Pasta Carbonara and the Seafood Extravaganza. Everything was cooked perfectly, the salads were fresh and crisp, the veggies perfectly steamed. A bit pricey, but well worth it! read more

Wonderful night of food and drink! We enjoyed their grazing menu! What an awesome deal! The grazing menu consists of wonderful, grilled pork chop with a mango chutney, and fillets, mignon, mashed potatoes, green beans, appetizers of all kinds, and Caesar salad. And to top it off a wonderful ice cream cake. Some of our party also had the brown sugar-glazed salmon, scallops, and French Onion Soup. Don't forget the awesome martinis! Idk I think it's a sham. Like I'll pay top dollar for genuine top tier service. I don't mind paying for filet mignon and cooked to perfect tenderness that takes time knowledge and a passion for made with love if you will .... Now that wasn't my experience here. I told my waiter Zach I wanted my $55 + tax steak cooked. I said I wanted it rare ... not raw , rare. Well that's what I meant to say. But instead I said something like this. I want my steak super tender that when you bite it , it almost melts in your mouth. Instead I got a beef jerky version and had to use a knife and fork and saw my way through the muscle memory. I had to undo your damage so that cow didn't die in vain by me making you waste another piece of meat. Meat is valuable ALL OF IT. which reminds me I gotta check on something. Bye bye read more

The Good: We aren't from the area and hadn't been out in Burlington before eating at Martinis for our friends anniversary. The atmosphere and drinks were great and the views far exceeded expectations. My wife had a specialty martini that was very good. The diverse beer and wine menu also complimented the strong Martini selection . Although it presented well, the food was probably just above average for the most part. We ordered chick lips (thick chicken tenders in buffalo sauce) for an appetizer - just okay. For dinner we ordered Sushi, Thai pizza, and steak. The sushi (king Shrimp) was served warm which although tasty wasn't what we expected. Coming from the coast we anticipated it being cold. My friend ordered the filet and had nothing but great things to say the presentation and taste. The Bad: The Thai pizza was not good. Came out burned and was drenched in Thai sauce. It was unfortunately uneatable but the restaurant did work with us and comp the item. The bayou chocolate Cake - delicious. Had it not been for the pizza I would have given 5 stars. We will be back if we return to Burlington. read more

I first went to Martini's over five years ago. I think they hadn't been opened long. I particularly wanted to go there for nostalgic reasons. It is the top floor of the hospital where I was born. Another great example of repurposing an older build g no longer being used for its original purpose. The first to e we went we were no overly impressed but I. Our return to Burlington, seeing that is was still in business we figured that must be doing something right. We were not disappointed! What a hidden treasure this restaurant is. The ambience, service and food far exceeded our expectations. The view over looks the Mississippi River and the bridge which spans over the river to Illinois is lit at night. If you are in Burlington do treat yourself and have dinner at Martini's. read more

I have been to martinis many times over the last 15 years. I love the feel, the view and the food. Are usually sit alone at the bar, get a martini, some bread, and dinner. First the service. The young man behind the bar did an outstanding job. He talked just enough, he was attentive and he knew when to leave me alone. The food. Started with a wedge salad that was outstanding. Got a 16 ounce ribeye that was spectacular. Got steamed asparagus that was an excellent accompaniment to the steak. Since it was my birthday, I treated myself to a half a piece of their dessert. It is an ice cream cake and a half a piece can fill four people. My only disappointment was when I asked for my martini to have blue cheese stuffed olives. The martini was $12 and there was an add on fee for the olives of four dollars. I was never told of the ad on fee, it is not about the money. It is about the principle of the thing. It's too bad the onsite management of this place chooses to use such a cavalier attitude towards its customers which transcends through the wait staff...maybe with some restructuring the quality of the dining experience would match the level of their food and drinks... read more

Have wanted to try this place for a ling time. Decided to go and was happy that I could sit outside as covid 19 is everywhere. Beautiful view of water...horrible view on the deck of dirty picnic tables that need to be refinished. No atmosphere..needed are things such as flower boxes on the railings. Horrible music completely wrong for an upscale dinner. Very good steak but the house salad had brown pathetic lettuce! If you want to proclaim you are upscale then LIVE UP TO IT.
