Good food. Tastes good. Service was good. Restaurant is very clean. In a good location. They have a good senior menu. Good selection of food on the menu. read more

Great place for breakfast. Everything is usually cooked perfectly and the service is super friendly.

Good spot for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Lots of competition in Burlington so I can't say this takes the top spot, but service is usually exceptionally fast. The menu is quite large and diverse. Excellent deserts too. There's something for everybody read more

Low quality, small portioned, greasy diner fare for way too much money. Took a while for what looked like a pretty slow morning. Better off going to mcdonald's for breakfast. read more

We go to Perkins quite frequently for breakfast and we love the food but most of more we love the service we get from them! I especially want to give a shout out to Brian B. He's incredible! Always friendly, works his butt off and gets us anything we need!! He needs a raise and awarded for best waiter! Thanks Brian you made us Perkins lovers!! read more

Perkins Restaurant & Bakery - Bakeries Near Me - Burlington, Iowa

Food was pretty good, but small portions. Waitress was pretty good. The hostess who seated us and was the cashier was terrible. She was rude and refused to give us 20% off our bill as we had a senior dinner. She could have given the 20% off the rest of the check. If you go beware and make your check separate if you have a senior dinner. Wow. How hard would it be to have separated the bill and keep people happy!!! read more

Pretty good food, tad expensive though. Its clean, the staff are friendly. I like to go here for breakfast, btw all-day breakfast. I really like their eggs and pancakes, its def filling lol. Only thing I dont really care for here is the crowds they get, not to be that person but everytime I go theres so many loud kids and arguments between people. Which I mean Perkins cant do anything about that. Just be sure if you go make sure its early to weed out those crowds. read more

Waited 45 minutes for our food. When I asked the waitress about it, she had no idea what happened. What happened to this place?

So. Much. Food. You better be hungry. Typical diner food with over-the-top desserts in giant portions. Someone in the chain of food prep forgot to add the fruit to the French toast so our server was gracious enough to take off some money from the tab. The boy who typed everything into the cash register seemed confused by this but eventually got it. It was a busy holiday so I can't complain too much about the wait. read more

I don't understand why this restaurant did not do an extensive cleaning during the covid19 shutdown. The place smells disgusting from your first foot in the door. The food isn't bad if you can get used to the stench. If you like their menu, I recommend takeout. read more

This trip was horrible couldn't get the food right, and the only person doing anything right was the server who was covering the whole place by her self! Even the who seemed to be the manager couldn't do anything obviously something needs to change. I wouldn't reccomend this place unless you are very patient and don't care for service. read more

I hadn't gone to this restaurant in years. The first time I went, it was great. A busy Saturday morning but the service was great. Food came out quickly and was delicious. The second time....not so much. We had to wait forever to be seated and were not greeted at all. And it was much slower. The service sucked and the food was nothing special. I'd say its a so-so. Its not terrible but try other places first. read more

Solid choice for breakfast. Overweighting the stars a bit because the overall ratings is too low. Good food great wait staff. No reason not to go here for breakfast. read more

Well, everything was super fantastic and the staff was hard-working and attentive. The food was delicious and flavorful. The place was pretty clean. The place needs a makeover for sure. But,as we were paying for the food I noticed a dead fly in the pastry cabinet It happens. But, the guy acted like he wasn't concerned about it and said "yeah, we've been trying to catch it." Personally, I feel like everything should have been thrown out. The fly probably landed on everything! read more

Awesome lunch. Great service. Great dining experience. I got the Everything Omelette and is was hot with Fresh Vegetables. I recommend this food and this restaurant. read more

Thought we would give this place another chance and still not impressed. We waited 30+ minutes for our food. Food wasn't bad except that I ordered crispy bacon and it was limp. Also, place was dirty. Restroom had dirty stools and waste basket was over flowing. Dust on window ledges. They did give is 20% off bill for waiting so long which was appreciated. read more

I don't normally do reviews on chain restaurants because in my business travel I go to so many I wouldn't have the time to write them. I will admit that the only times I do are when there has been a problem. Not this time. I stopped for breakfast and the food was.....Perkins food. Good, but not gourmet. Hey, it's Perkins and that is what I expect. Good, tasty and enough to satisfy. Clean facility and good coffee. The reason I am writing this review is not because the food or facility was so much more that I expected, but because my server (Lynn, by her name tag) was more than good. Great service without looking over my shoulder all the time. Very personable and efficient. I heard her greeting other customers so I know it wasn't just me. Thank you Lynn and Perkins, you need to hold on to her! read more

There aren't too many choices for breakfast in Burlington except for fast food, so we took a chance on Perkins and were glad we did. We ate here for breakfast and were greeted by a friendly hostess (Tammy). Service was excellent - thanks, Brian. Food came up promptly and was cooked exactly to our specifications. My husband had eggs, bacon, potatoes, toast and said it was perfect. I had oatmeal, and it was good, too. Coffee refills are no issue as they give you a thermal pot for the table. If you're over 55, look for their Senior menu for extra savings. It's plenty of food. My only complaint was that the front glass doors to the place looked greasy and need to be cleaned. Otherwise, everything's good. Try it. read more

Horrible service. Horrible food. How does a perkins run out of chicken noodle soup on a Friday night ?!

Slooooooooow service. Ridiculous really. The people behind us came in after us, ordered, and left before we even got our food. Server seemed to have an attitude when we asked about where our food was after 45 minutes, and we ordered simple things. Nothing that should take that long. Will not be back. Would not recommend!!! Go elsewhere. read more

Good breakfast, service a little slow friendly server delicious good guality food. Definitely a good breakfast spot for Burlington.

Good simple place to get food. I come here with my daughter and she loves it here. Great for family's

If you are looking for a place with home made food and good prices, this is the place to go. Loved my burger. Very nice and friendly service. It took the food a little longer to arrived than it should, but overall it's a great place to go out and eat. Would come here again. read more

Oh my gosh!!! Brought home big muffins from the Burlington, Iowa Perkins. The apple cinnamon wasn't cooked inside and had a very bad smell and taste. I can't believe it was the first one in the batch to be identified as bad. Wht didnt they get pulled??? Now we're 30 minutes away...looking forward to that muffin... read more

I am not generally a fan of Perkins because of slow service and mediocre food but Perkins was close to our motel and we took a chance. We were pleasantly surprised. Our service was quick and friendly and the food was quite good. My omelet was fresh and was as good as any I've had and I've had a lot, the hash browns were lightly browned and fresh, and the toast was fresh and not hard. They brought a container of coffee so I could fill my cup when needed. My wife had eggs Benedict, which although they had a white pepper gravy rather than the sauce she was expecting, were good. Her only disappointment was that she forgot to tell them to cook her eggs hard and the server didn't ask so they were not as firm as she likes. She got home fries and a large muffin with her eggs and both were very good, especially the muffin. The server was friendly and prompt and the manager stopped by to see that we were happy. This was a Saturday morning and the restaurant was busy so we were happy to have a good experience. read more

foods good and comes out fast and are very friendly, defiantly gotten better since the last time I was there.
