Food awful!!! We had one terrible entree and wouldn't fix or replace. Had a bug in food.

Awful. Our service was good because no one was there. Food was terrible. Wrong order and our meal came out under cooked and was disappointing to say the least. They said that's how it is and did not offer to cook more or replace. Charged us full priced when it wasn't even eaten. Never again as we will never go back again, nor will our friends as we had been customers for years. So disappointing. Question about how we can approve-after reading many excuses to customers that have left negative reviews, I would say they don't care if any of us come back. We won't!!! read more

See all

Food is wonderful. we've been going here for years and never have had bad service. Decorations are a bit dated but it's very authentic feeling and have always kept a clean restaurant. It's a must try. read more

Originally posted 2023-06-02. Very good, simple Tex Amex. Not much to look at but it's clean and has very good service. I love the ground beef; outstanding flavor and so good in a three taco plate for under $8. read more

We love to come to this amazing restaurant every time we are in town. I got the cheese Chile Relleno with rice & beans which was absolutely amazing. Hubby got the steak nachos which he gets every time and absolutely loves. Best Mexican restaurant We've eaten at in Texas alone. A+++++++++ read more

Very good Mexican food. Chips and salsa are the best. Small town jewel. People are super nice. Great service.

I hesistate to write the great review this place deserves, because I don't want it to get swamped! It's a great little Tex-Mex place in Chico, right on the square. The owner is a sister of the family Casa Torres family, and the menus are extremely similar! As one of the previous reviews mentioned, it's nothing fancy but the food is really good! Add in the staff is super nice, the prices are extremely reasonable, and I don't have to wait in line for an hour on Friday night... this stock is soaring on this place! I had the number 1 which was 2 enchiladas (one in cheese, one in carne), 1 tamale, 1 taco, and it came with beans and rice. Delicious! Of course, it started w/chips and salsa... and the spicy salsa was different than Torres! However, it was delicious and I really liked it! Afterwards, we had sopapillas, and let me tell you... cinnamon sugar and pastry with butter ALWAYS hits the spot!! They biggest difference, and the one I was disappointed it, was they do not yet have the Spinach Enchiladas. The room is huge, and they are doing a great job w/ masks and social distancing... and there was an additional huge banquet room I almost missed. This place can do some serious business!! There's no open bar, but it might be worth it to many people... it will be to us! We will be back! 5 STARS #ShopLocal read more

They are really Good, Great Staff, I highly recommend them to all! On Saturday's they give out free Margaritas! This is are go to place!

It was good food and wonderful staff. We were visiting the area and we found the reviews on yelp. So we decided to try it out. Glad we did.

Apparently this restaurant is under new ownership, but the menu and sign still say Julio's. We had a $30 gift certificate the manager refused to accept that was clearly in date. Not only that, but the rice was crunchy and the beans were cold. We will not be back. read more

We have dined at Julio's many times and have orders take out as well. We love Julio's and have sampled almost all of their menu. The fajitas are fantastic and the enchiladas, chimichangas, tacos and burritos are all equally amazing. I love the salsa but the green spices salsa is the absolute best I've ever tasted! Seriously, you got to try the green salsa. We have always received exceptional service from the staff and when we have ordered take out we always received a correct order with extra chips and salsa. We love our Julio's here in Chico. read more

I would live at Julio's if I could :) they are sweethearts over there. Its a little off the beaten path in Chico, Texas off 101 right on the square. If you love Mexican food this is one of the best. All the staff there are great people. The food and the great staff is why they are busy. The great thing is even when the are busy normally you don't have long to wait for your food. The enchiladas are so good and you have your choice of topping like sour cream, cheese and more. The figitias are fantastic brought to you streaming hot. The prices at Julio's is very reasonable as well. Have a great time and enjoy. read more

This is our favorite Mexican food restaurant. It has kind of ruined all other Mexican food for us because we are constantly comparing everything to Julios. I have never eaten anything here I didn't love. An added plus it that their shimp is good. I am very cautious about where I will order shrimp because some places it just doesn't taste good but Juloio's shrimp is delicious and a really good size. read more

Very yummy stuff here Don't hesitate to go on over, service is great as well go go go !!! read more

Julios is definitely a dive, but boy is it good. My family and I went and all were very pleased with the food. I especially loved the chicken enchiladas with chili verde sauce as well as the sour cream enchiladas. Overall, it was an excellent meal and I'll definitely be back. read more

Good Tex Mex. Great alternative to casa Torres with same menu in Chico - open on Sunday.

Classic hole in the wall with very good food. The inside could use a little sprucing up, including the bathroom. However, the food and the service are very good. Staff is attentive and very friendly. read more

Great little place for Tex-Mex on the square in the little town of Chico. Nothing fancy, but the food is good. We live on the north side of Lake Bridgeport, and this is the closest restaurant besides Subway. The owners and staff are very nice, and they do a good business. I usually get fajitas here. No alcohol, so no margaritas etc., but it's good for a meal. It is also good for families and large tables for friends and get-togethers. I think they serve lunch and breakfast and are open every day. read more

We had them caterer our party this weekend and it was outstanding! We will use them again. Thank you so much!

Great place for a casual dining experience right on the square in Chico. Menus are filled with lots of options for any want. Lunch specials are included daily for a slightly smaller version of their regular menu. We tried the chimis one with shredded chicken and one with fajita chicken and their dinner #2 option (menus have around 20 specialty plates identified by numbers) The chimis are served standard with queso topping, rice and beans on side and a guacamole salad. Great size for dinner. The #2 is like a sampler of all their options with enchilada, tamale and both a taco and tostada. Very good flavor! Great place to stop in in wise county!! read more
