I have to say this is the place to stop and enjoy some wholesome delicious Mexican food!! Great cooks and genuinely friendly staff. For sure will only stop here on my way to Fort Worth on my weekly runs! Thank you El Tapatio for the yummy food!!

If you are looking for a quite place for lunch this is not the place but if you are looking for amazing fresh piping hot and great tasting Mexican food look no further. I had passed through this intersection hundreds of times and never noticed this restaurant until today when I stopped for fuel and seen the building now I'm the kind of guy that loves little out of the way mom and pop places to eat, not real big on the chain corporate restaurants. As I headed into the parking lot I can see that there are 2 places to eat but I was set on the Mexican food and it was amazing but it is a one man show out front and he was busy as there are 6 tables that translates into 24 chairs so to say it's small is safe so sit back and enjoy

We were headed back to Houston today and happen to come across this Spot! Don't be fooled by how it looks! Chips salsa was amazing! I had lemonade, tortilla soup, barbacoa taco w rice and beans! I mean some of the best I have ever had! We also had mixed fajita plate( absolutely flavoring). Great portions and flavor! We can't wait to head back to Fort Worth so we can eat at this spot again!

Awesome authentic mexican, if you blink you'll miss this place. Had a couple of shredded chicken tacos, and the salsa is perfect. Go!

    A cute little mural too.

Pretty much the best breakfast around! I always think it's worth driving the 11 miles from Marlin when I'm in town to come on out. Also has affordable Mexican drinks (hot chats, etc) and a nice, cool place to sit. They're open every day (no dinner Sundays) so no excuse to not check it out.

Don't let the curb appeal of this tiny place scare you. Great food at a great price in the middle of no where.

The food is great but the staff are not very sanitary. Nice to eat and hangout with friends.

Small family owned stop off of highway 6. We had a tasty meal and the service was great. Really good chips and salsa.

The place is large, inviting, and very clean--almost too clean, like they'd just scrubbed everything down with Pine-Sol and Febreze. Drinks came out right away, and the tea was excellent. It did sit empty a few times, but that wasn't a huge issue. Service was on the slower side, and our server came across a bit stuck-up, which took away from the experience. Food arrived hot and in a timely manner. We ordered the #37 Carib tacos, which were very tasty. The charro beans were a pleasant surprise--flavorful and delicious. Queso was just okay, chips were disappointing, and while the red sauce was good, the green sauce was all heat with little flavor. The biggest downside was waiting about 25 minutes for the check. Eventually, we had to go up to the front before someone brought the bill. Overall, I'd say the food was good, and with a few improvements in service and sides, this place could be really great.

This is a very serviceable restaurant that wouldn't take much effort to be really good. We were not…read moreencouraged at the beginning, as the chips and salsa were not at all appealing. The tostadas were dry and tasteless, as if they were made from a dried cardboard slurry or something. The salsa was strange and impossible to discern whether it was homemade or commercially available. In any case, neither classification would want to claim it. It is incomprehensible how most Mexican restaurants seem to get terribly wrong this critically important this simple first impression offering. It's not hard, folks. You know what's in salsa; just make it fresh every day, and for goodness' sake, taste it before you serve it. Chips don't require a Ph.D, either; just cut some corn tortillas into triangles, fry them up and hit 'em with a little salt. But please...get rid of the little cardboard things! If you get this one thing right, you'll go a long way toward having more repeat customers. We had fajita tacos for our entree, and they were surprisingly tasty and tender. The service was very good, as was the ambiance. We would be back if they would let me make the chips and salsa.
