Terrible service, rude servants and took 20 minutes for 4 breakfast burritos. Will never be going back to this horribly run "Resturaunt".

The waitress took our drink order right away and came back quickly with them, followed immediately by chips and salsa. We really enjoyed our food and will happily eat there again. The highlight, however, was the tortillas. Both the corn and flour tortillas were superb! I can see making a meal from a basket of fresh tortillas, quacamole, and their yummy refried beans. (As an aside, the receipt lists the restaurant as Taqueira Mexicanos, but the menus and sign say 'Restaurant Mexicanos,' and it's on Hwy 171, aka Tehuacana Rd, if that helps you find the place.)

The service was terrible - took 15 minutes to get a beer, the server kept forgetting it because he was too busy laughing with other employees. The guac was just ok. The entrees weren't anything special. That same evening one in our party became violently ill. The other two became ill the following day with one requiring a trip to the doctor. Definitely food poisoning. Honestly, I'd give zero stars if possible. Will not return if we are ever in mexia again. I take that back, we might return, just to let them know how terrible it ended up being.

I actually don't know because this gentleman was speaking Spanish during this exchange. He asked my drink order and I was traded off to another staff member. I was given chips, salsa, and cheese dip. The chips were homemade and the salsa was nice and spicy. I was already having a difficult time deciding what to order so I didn't explore the menu more than the one page. I narrowed my choices down to two, and decided on the Pirates dish. The dish was three quesadillas of beef, smoked sausage, and cheese. The sides were rice, beans, pico, and guacamole. I ordered mine without beans. My first thought was wow, this is too much food. My second thought was wow, this is good. The perfectly crispy shell went well with the tender meat and cheese inside. Before I knew it I finished everything, except the rice. If I'm in the area, I will be definitely be back to try something else.
